ugh! It is HARD to eat right when I'm working in the cafe 10+ hours, serving a buffet dinner......I've gotten so hungry that I eat whatever is in sight. Not good. I try to keep my portions down, but I really need to rein in the crabs, and PLAN! I've been getting up early, going into the gym, lifting and cardio, shower, get ready for work and then work 10 hrs. I start off really good, nutrition-wise, but by 2pm, I'm out of my options and the artichoke dip I've made is smelling AMAZING and the herbed artisan breads are calling the siren's call to my taste buds.....I'll do better. I'm figuring out how to eat for working out and working on my feet for 10 hrs. I've got to do better and would appreciate any ideas you all may have.... 1. What do you do when you are creating an amazing menu and the sweet tooth hits?? 2. How to you fight the carb craving that hits at 3:30-4pm, when you've been on your feet for 6 hrs, AFTER a good workout?? 3. How do you stay fueled? What are some good hands only (no fork and knife) options that are low carb and low fat?? high energy??
