Also, the portion sizes will be more appropriate. You won't get a plate heaping with food the way we do in the U.S.

I agree with Freecloud, you'll find it easy to eat clean in France and in mediterranean Europe. Especially in France, it's very hard to find processed foods, I have a friend who lives there and one evening she was craving a takeaway and none of her French friends had heard of takeout food!! The food in France is very french. I am recently back from Greece and beforehand I was worried about eating clean but I found all meals to be served in restaurants were very healthy and there didn't seem to be an transfatty acids or High glucose fructose syrup in food. Have a wonderful time in Europe.

I've been to both countries (Paris/Thomery and Barcelona) and found that clean eating is far easier in Europe than it is here. You'll find tons of outdoor markets with great produce, restaurants that use only natural ingredients and I believe HFCS has been banned in several European countries.

So you may come home with new, great ideas on clean eating :)

My husband and I are getting ready to go on vacation to France & Spain. I was wondering if anyone has any experience/advice on how to stay "on track" while we're over there. Thanks!
