If you have a Whole Foods or other natural foods store near you that has bulk food bins, try that. It's almost always cheaper to buy from the bulk bins than to buy the packaged stuff and at someplace like WF, it's more likely to be clean. Also, you can buy only as much as you need (or can afford) and avoid waste.

I can get Craisins at Sam's of course but they are sugared. The only unsugared ones I have found are tiny packages at huge prices in health food stores. Any ideas? Do you think it's better not to eat them at all than to eat them sugared?
