I think about food in different situations. For example I think about it a lot in the sense of what I want to cook, looking at new recipes, planning meals, and trying new healthy options. But I have these other times where it's like I just can't get it out of mind. I just want to eat all the time. I lot of it comes with boredom. If I am not constantly busy I feel like I want to eat something. I guess I just have to try to keep myself busy all the time...and maybe I wont have that problem???
If you are constantly thinking about food b/c you feel the need to eat, then reassess and make sure you are getting enough calories in and you are eating every 2-3 hours. Remember to eat your fruits and veggies b/c fiber will also help you feel full. Plus, drink lots of water - that will help you fill up. Hot tea can help you feel full too.
It seems I am always thinking about food but more in term of planning and do I have enough of this or that nutrient!!! Sometimes it gets overwhelming!!! At times like that I take a break from tracking my food and just go with what I have learned along the way!!! For the most part, if I'm not tracking, I can listen more to my body and feed myself on a more natural and less structured time frame!!!
