I like to have a big hearty breakfast. It really gets me going for the day! I usually have:
2 organic free range brown eggs (Scrambled) w/salt & pepper 2 pieces of Organic sourdough bread w/Organic butter (we have a local bakery that makes it fresh! 2 pieces of Organic turkey bacon (Antibiotic & hormone free) 1 organic pink grapefruit Green tea or Oolong tea
It may sound like a lot, but I like to eat heavier in the morning and lighter at night! It is working so far!

MTNTOBEACH...not sure if you have them where you are but Ezekiel makes english muffins. I've found sprouted whole grain and cinnamon raisin. They're really tasty...and clean. I love your idea of an open faced sandwich with egg/english muffin and avocado.
Morningstar soy sausage patty and fruit (usually a banana), or natural peanut butter and 1/2 a wheat english muffin (which may not be clean, but I try to find the best I can). Sometimes I'll make an open-faced egg sandwich - one real egg, avocado, and the 1/2 wheat english muffin. I eat light breakfasts in general. I like cereal, but I have to add protein, but Kashi does have a high protein one.
Most morning I have oatmeal with 4 egg whites cooked in and after cooking I add 1 Tablesppon flaxseed and a 1/2 scoop whey protein powder and add 1/2 cup blueberries. You get a nice big bowl and it is so satisfying. I love it!! This morning I tried a recipe from the clean eating magazine and it was good. It was called Satisfying Cream of wheat. May add that to my weekend breakfast.

4-5 mornings I eat extra thick rolled oats with ground flax, chia seed and blueberries cooked into it.. then at the end I crack 2egg whites into it and simmer for 5 minutes.. throw on a bit of bee pollen or some gogi berries and it's done..
the other mornings I have a egg white omelet filled with veggies.. I experimented with chayote squash in them this week.. yummy!
I have started back here in Feb 2012 after putting some weight back on. I lost 114lbs here previously and I now know I need this community and the food tracker to keep me in check.
Most of the time my breakfast consists of a protein shake -- 1 c. goats milk, 1 tbl lemon flavor cod liver oil, 1 scoop Jay Robb Whey Protein (25g), 1 tbl orange vanilla liquid calcium/magnesium w/Vit. D, and 1 tbl apple fiber -- Its really quite tastey!
I just recently had a food allergy test and found out Im allergic to, well, tons of things...like all yeast, wheat, glutan, soy, strawberries, blueberries, tomatoes, lettuce, chocolate, and so on (I was shocked) -- Im saying this only to say -- my protein drink is proving to be a very valid contribution to my diet! And, since I cut out all the above out of my diet, wow...rapid changes in lots of things -- highly recommend asking your doc for a blood test. You might have to give up foods you love, but the quality of your life will definiely improve!
