I have been eating clean for 2 1/2 weeks now and just got my numbers for calorie cycling,I broke my plateau and then now it goes back and forth 2lbs. I don't know if anyone else on this post calorie cycles but if you do, have you experienced this up and down with the scale since calorie cycling.
How will you know where you are going if you don't know where you have been ( keep tracking )
Yep, 12 pounds! I do have a lot to lose though~I'm looking at 75 to 100 pounds total.
Joggergirl, the mood change is by far the biggest difference I've noticed. Before if I was feeling really stressed or nervous, I'd binge on some junk food and get a "high" and come crashing back down again. When I'd snap out of my food coma, I was really angry and lethargic. I'm so sad that I subjected my kids and husband to that. Food is really powerful!
I present my body a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is my reasonable service (Rom. 12:1).
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, (Hebrews 12:1).
Way to go, Loretta!! I have also been eating clean the whole month of April except for a couple of meals. I have lost 5 pounds and hope to keep going. I am so glad to hear you say that it has helped you deal better with stress as you had many tough challenges this month. I have been looking for more inspiration for a friend of mine who would feel better about herself and her stressors if she ate clean, so I will pass your comments on to her. Thank you!
Hey everyone, I just wanted to post that I started this way of eating at the beginning of April, and have had great success. I've limited myself to fast food and candy once a week(used to be several times a day!), started eating 5 to 6 times a day (instead of 2 HUGE meals), and of course making sure my meals are clean~ and I've lost 12 pounds!! I still have a long way to go, but I feel very excited to keep going! I'm finally listening to what my body needs instead of just shoveling down whatever I want, when I want it.
I can't forget that I have been exercising regularly as well~lots of walks with my dog, and doing my Jillian Michaels videos. She just rocks. Her bootcamp style is perfect for my two left feet. I also walked the 5k portion of a *real* race earlier this month and had a fantastic time. I'm signed up for four more races, and I'm aiming to RUN one on Thanksgiving. I'd love to call myself a runner :)
I've also put up with a lot of *stuff* from every direction this month, it's been a rough one for me. I believe that if I had been bingeing on junk food and sugar, my mood would have been a million times worse, eating clean has helped keep me sane!
