ANDASI, you make a good point. I suppose if I'm cutting out stuff like diet soda and other processed foods, then I'm reducing the chemicals I eat by a great deal. I guess a little gum that keeps me from eating less than desirable foods and leaves my mouth minty fresh is okay. I will look for the natural kind next time I hit up the natural foods store in town. Does it taste like chewable tree bark? :)
I love to watch the Biggest Loser too, but you're right about the paid advertisements. Same thing with Bob Greene, he talks about eating only real foods, then plugs Fiber One bars, Progresso soup and Slimfast-talk about sugar laden, sodium filled processed food!
