I have the Clean Eating Premiere issue. I don't know if this is the same thing as the collector's issue.

Anyway, bought all of the groceries for the first week. There are a few things that I will not eat (the turkey meatloaf, or any meatloaf for that matter) so I will go forward a week and choose another recipe to make.

Basically, since I can be a picky eater about some things I will use the meal plan as a guide, but I am not going to stress out if I don't follow it exactly. I will be eating clean the whole week, I just might do things a bit differently.

Just a note: If you are using the caloric content as a guide, the calories for the Banana Protein Muffins in week one are horribly miscalculated. The nutritional info says each muffin has 462 calories, my guess (I haven't calculated exactly) is that it is somewhere around 100 per muffin. I haven't checked the calories for the other recipes, but I will after noticing the muffins. The muffins were so far off that even my husband who has never paid attention to a calorie in his life noticed.

Here I am learning about me a little bit more everyday. This week's lesson is it is okay when you screw up to ask for help!

Smurfette, if the magazine is unavailable, I wonder how easy it would be to post for us?

Too hard?

:( Bummer. I'll go look today, as well!

I'm only as strong as the coffee I drink and the hair spray I use...

Of course, they did not have it at Border's today -- they had the new collector's issue out (Fat Loss). I'll have to check another store. I'm so bummed.

It was that menu that really did it for me, it was the deciding factor that hey I CAN DO THIS. I think the menu is easy enough and good enough that the kids won't give me much grief...there are a few meals that I know without a doubt I will hear "what is this" but I dont care!!! There is one or two meals that I will have to fix something different because hubby and I both can't stand eggplant so i'll just opt for a different meal out of my new cookbook!!

I'll have to check that out. I wonder how easy it would be to incorporate with a family...it was SO much easier before kids...it's a good thing they are cute.

Hi Steph! I picked my copy up at the local Barnes & Noble, in the "Women's Interest" section with the other fitness mags. This is different from the monthly Oxygen magazine. I believe the "collector's issues" come out once every season. They are very popular. I bought the last issue, YIKES!

I'll be out & about today. I'll look for a copy and if I find it, will send it of to you with your notebook, cool?

I'm hoping to stop and pick it up today (forgot it yesterday when I was at the store) but I think it would be something to do as a challenge/motivation.

HI Magda~ Where are you finding the "collectors issue" at? Is that different than the regular issue (I didn't see a 30day plan in the regular issue)??? I'd be up to try something new.....

Hi Team!
Just curious if anyone had taken a look at the 30 day meal plan in this season's Oxygen's collector's issue of Clean Eating. I often see this type of plans & never feel like they are doable or right for me, but this one actually seems to be something I might be able to do. I love that the weekly shopping list is right there for me & all the cals/carb/protein/fat splits are listed for the day.

Let me know if you're planning on following this? Maybe this could be a challenge?

HUGS!
Magda
