Well, I did it. I signed up for my first sprint triathlon, Tour de Kirkwood, July 25th. The good news is that I chose my first to be in my home town. The swim is at our City pool and the bike and run is around town. All places that are familiar to me. My goal is to get through the swim and finish. I just took my mountain bike in this weekend to get smooth tires and went to my first Master's Swim Class with the local tri club. The classes are on Sunday and FREE. I am in the beginner swim group because I don't have the endurance to swim long or far. Hopefully, in twenty weeks and with practice I will be ready for the swim. I feel pretty comfortable with the run and bike.
