Okay slackers... words of wisdom on winning...
Don't wait for the feeling to come, it won't. Do the moving first even when you don't want to and the feelings will follow. Check out my 3rd day blog about loving the feeling of the burn. I am not always mindful of that great feeling when I start - but it helps to remind myself it will happen. So will the endorphins to make you want to do it again. Now get movin' and have a wonderful day! Btw, December is over - again for another year - maybe start a January Challenge???

Well I guess ONE of us could get off her fluffy butt in front of the computer, stop just dressing up in workout clothes, and using the excuse that her car is broken again and she cannot go to her favorite place to walk, and just walk out the door and down the street!

The only thing I have been moving is my lips; blah, blah, blah!!!! LOL:) Seriously, we have been without power since last Thursady, so life has been chaotic. Power has been restored and the black stallion is again mocking me with his silence. Time to ride on...woohooo!!!

Had to take a couple days off...I have a recurring injury in my right foot/ankle they can't seem to do anything about. Once I build back up for several weeks straight of walking, it won't hurt as bad. Think it's tendonitis and I'm not willing to do the super-expensive, not guaranteed, reattachment surgery. So for now I baby it. Back up to 2.5 miles, 45 mins yesterday, and feel better today. Will tackle 60 mins again--- yaaay... is everybody else moving a body part or two? YOU DON'T HAVE TO TELL ME WHICH ONES....

You DID.... back on the stallion again today for you, my friend!

I totally deserved a Lobster Roll during my little excursion to Cedar Key yesterday, too! And I'll totally deserve what I get on the weighin tomorrow lOL

But you don't have as much to drop as I do, so slow down whenever you want! We'll all get there, I am totally ASSURED

Tamara! Did you do all that in one day? Fantastic! Looks like you gave your bronchitis the heave-ho!!! I only did 30 minutes on my stallion today, but that was all I could handle. We got home late last night and I am tired. It was my sons 9th B-day yesterday and I cooked for 20 people at my girlfriends house (my house isn't big enough for that many guests) LOL. I did eat a piece of cake, but I had to...it was my sons b-day after all. Besides, I am the one who went through the valley of the shadow of death to birth him into this world...I felt I deserved a piece:)

A fantastic idea, indeed...Me and the black stallion have riden in many battles together...we are now involved in a four year war, but victory will be ours this year, I am sure of it! LOL

My total for the week so far has been 2 hours on the treadmill at 3.5 mph. I still have to hop on today, and as I write this, the big black plastic stallion of a treadmill is sitting there in all its' technological glory, mocking me with its' silence! Oh, well....here I come big stallion...just shut up and let me hop on.....LOL

Well, everybody log their minutes every day, or not, and just post running totals here.

I'm still restricted, but did 10 minutes yesterday.

I'll be off restriction tomorrow.

Well, hello there RW! Good job making those stairs today; that's exercise for sure. So, what's up with your profile pic? Standing on your head? You are a man of many talents...how does your wife keep up with you LOL. If you ever feel you aren't getting enough exercise, I have a four year old son who I will gladly pack up and ship down there for a spell...You'll be in top form in no time!

Hugs,
Tracy

Hi fabulous gals,
I'm checking in. I was at the court house his morning and the fire alarm went off, We had to leave the building by way of the stairway, so I got in some exercise going up and down the stairs. I don't enter any nutrician or fitness minutes so it won't show up on the teams minutes, I'm just glad to be here.
Tracy- you have great energy for a frog !!! hehehe ... cute too.
Tamara- take it easy until Saturday , that's just a couple more days , I hope your bronchitis has taken a long walk by then...you are cute too...
love hearing from you both, you're just what I need to get motivated again!

Wall push-ups and ab crunches? Rock on girlfriend!!!!
I went to the doc today (obgyn) I had laproscopic surgery four weeks ago and he gave me the green light for all activity. I told him i have been on the treadmill since Monday and he said, "good"! I think I am going to go blow up my swiss ball and do some of that tomorrow morning!

Happy to hear your bronchitis is getting beter. That is no fun at all!

Oh, and I went to the grocery today and bought a load of veggies and fruit! I am looking very forward to roasted veggies and shallots with rosemary and a shot of balsamic...yum!!

Four days back at Sparks and I am feeling finer then frog hair:)

Happy Day!

Well I won't be walking until Saturday emoticon

Doc Patwari says not to take my bronchitis out for a walk until Saturday...but at least I did my wall pushups and abcrunches. Will probably go back and do more of those tonight because it didn't make my asthma kick in or make me start the continual hacking again... am actually feeling better today first time in over two weeks, and it feels awesome! If I went through detoxing (getting back on raw foods) I couldn't tell because I felt so bad anyway, so I skipped right over that part, yaay!

Just enter your activity for however many minutes under my Fitness (under the MY TOOLS section) and it will calculate how many calories you burned, and it will show up in the team minutes of any Sparkteams you've joined. Yaaaay! I will be adding more minutes of aerobics starting tomorrow after giving antibiotics 24 hrs to kick in on this awful bronchitis! emoticon

RW...who needs a treadmill anyway? 30 minutes of walking those white sandy beaches you live near, equals more then an hour in my book! Has anyone tried walking on sand...not an easy task!

also, before my hubby bought me a treadmill, I used Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds DVD's. They are awesome! You can walk miles right in your own living room! Sounds ridiculous, but they really have you break a sweat!!! If you are interested let me know (via PM) and I will send them to you, as I am done with them.

Do what you can RW, you have our support and kudos all the way!!!!

Hugs,
Tracy

Well, I was in this group with some people who had a lot of weight to deal with, like close to 500 pounds-- so when we started, they could only do like ten minutes at a time--- but they did it six times! I've read where even that will make a difference. I know they say you have to walk at least 30 minutes to reach the optimum fat-burning zone-- but the operative word is optimum... it's still working! And before you know it, you'll work it up there...I just have to gently push daily...always touching the "edge" of discomfort. This is going to be fun! we'll just all do what we can and come back to report

Chili, a challenge is a great way to kick it up, I do need to get moving more. I had to give up my gym membership a few months ago due to economic reasons. Now I have no treadmill to go on. I'll be here and see how it goes. An hour may be too much for me.

Two ways to get healthy, and both are required for it to happen: eat right, and move more. I checked our team minutes, and they are saaaaad. Anybody up to join me in a challenge to move more the rest of the month? I strive for 60 minutes a day minimum aerobic... when I first started moving more, I could only do 30 minutes at a time, then I built up. Now I can actually do about 90 without stopping but I'm taking it easy because of a reinjury of an old owie on my right ankle. Since the whole point of being here is to get fit, and we got to move more for that to happen-- who'd like to join me? An hour a day, every day until Christmas -- 21 days to instill a new habit! emoticon
