oooh...those people are truly gross. I grew up on a property with a septic tank too, but everything certainly stayed where it was supposed to be. YUCK! Why don't they get it fixed? URGH...I can't believe this! OH, stinky people who mistreat dogs be gone!

Peace, Love, and everything Groovy!

Oh that's a good idea Gerry.

These people are really nasty anyway. I had april out and she crossed over to their yard. I didn't think anything about it. Matt was with me. Well the lady came out and was talking. then, I noticed something bubbling up in the yard. I said what's that? Matt said, someone just flushed! EEEEEWWWWWWW!!!!!

I was so grossed out I threw the shoes I was wearing away. I bathed poor little april immediately! I also called the health department too. ACK! we are all on septic tanks up on this mountain. It's not that they need to clean it out either, Matt said it's been doing that for years, they need to re=do the field lines.

They let their GRANDCHILDREN play on a water slide right down on the ground and they run and then throw themselves down face first, you know what I'm talking about. That means when they get to the end, their little faces are right in the poop yard. GROSS! And the bad part is, they know about it and let them play out there anyway. they call their own yard "the sewer." Shudder.

Yes Mary, i would report them! i had some neighbors a few years ago that would go and leave their pets outside with no food or water. I reported them and they came and got the dogs while the people were gone.
They finally moved, but had gotten 2 more before they left.
If people don't want to take care of them, why do they get them? It's crazy!

Thanks Rosa! I am going to call animal protection to the people across the street because they throw poor roscoe outside and there is no water for him at all. They don't even leave the garage up so he can get in out of the heat. These are the stupid people that had to get rid of their german shepherd because he was attacking the golden doodles, breaking through a three strand electric fence. They have what I call puppy-itus. they are all excited at the puppy part, but when the puppy cuteness wears off, out the door they go without any training or any provisions. Stupid idiots! GRRRRRRRR

Great list!

I have another suggestion.

Cool off in the pool; this goes for poodles and people! Great exercise for older dogs; gentle on the legs!

1. Keep fur baby in a well-ventilated area.

2. Provide exercise early in the morning or late in the eveving. (coolest times of the day)

3. Minimize exercise in hot weather.

4. DO NOT LEAVE your fur baby in a parked car, for any reason or anytime ever!

5. Whenever possible, keep them in a comfortable enviroment in extreme weather conditions.

6. Limit sun expsoure during mid-day hours.

7. Give your fur baby plenty of cool fresh water, and if they are oustside, leave it in a shady area.

8. For sudden high temps, let your fur babies acclimate ( to adapt). Many cases of heat-related illness occur in the Spring whenever your fur baby is not used to the warmer temps.

9. When traveling to a hotter climate, allow several days to become acclimated before allowing virgorous exercise, work it up gradually.

10. Choose cool toys for your fur baby, like a fozen treat!

11. Lastly, but very important, LOVE YOUR FUR BABY!
