((((LingLing))))

I will miss you pretty kitty. My Poodle prayers are with you Aunt Deb. I know it's so hard.

I had to go to the vet the other day and get a shot in my butt!! then Mommy let them stick a thermometer in my butt, THEN the drained my anal glands and they do it from the inside! My butt is very hurty now! why does everything at the vet have to do with my butt? I feel violated! I'm a virgin, leave my butt alone!

Sorry I had to get that out of my system. I had food poisoning because I ate something I wasn't supposed to. The man next door feeds the critters his left overs and I ate some pork that had been out in the hot son for a day or two. boy was I sick. Mommy had to carry me outside to do my numbers. I threw up about 5 times and that's why I got the shot. nausea.

Oh well no more sneaking bites behind the house. Mommy is mad cause it cost her a lot of money!

Poodle Prayers for Aunt Deb
Love,
April

Thanks for your prayers Tara and frost. Prayers always help everything. Yes Mommy says that I will be going to the Rainbow Bridge Soon. I think that most kitties in my position Would be afraid, but I don't have to be, mommy rarely ever leaves me except to go to church or the grocery. Being with her makes me feel better. I just wish something could make Mommy not afraid for me.

Kitty kisses. emoticon

Hi, LingLing! So good to hear from you! And I'm so sorry about your breathing problems and sad mommy. Me and Frost are saying poodle and bichon prayers for you. The TV says cancer is very bad and expensive. Lots of pups who get it cross the Rainbow Bridge, like BooBoo (who you've probably heard about) and my pal Chloe. Then they're supposed to be happy and healthy, but I don' know. I think kitties cross the Rainbow Bridge too, and you'll know in a few weeks. But Frost just barked so I've gotta go.

Wags,

Tara.

Hi poodle pals,
Gee, it has Been a long time. How is everybody? April, Happy belated birthday.
Mom took me to the vet last Wed. because she said she thought I was breathing funny. Dr.Ruth took me to ex-ray, she took pictures of my chest and then showed mom my ex-rays and had a long talk with mommy. For some reason, mommy was crying.I Wondered what Dr Ruth could have told her? Later, mommy told me - Dr. Ruth told her that I have cancer. Mommy said we have only a few more weeks together. What is cancer? Why does mommy cry so much?

Kitty kisses, emoticon

PS mom does not understand this new mobile sparks thing. She said that she may not remember how to get back.

Hi Tara!

The only bones I ever had was abut a month or two ago, Mommy at some chicken and then fell asleep watching tv so I sneaked those bones off the plate and ate them. Boy did I get my bottom dusted for that one! Mommy said I could have killed myself, but they were sure yummy!

Have a good weekend!

Hi, April. So good to hear from you, tho it's sad when our humans get sick, and especially when they're away for days... So we're saying lots of poodle prayers.

Me and Frost got a little SPRING FEVER on Easter. Our human took us for a drive in Virginia, with some history schmistory stuff. We did not mess with the eggs that the kiddies grabbed on their easter egg hunts. We thought the best grass was at a place where our human talked history with another lady, and about poison ivy and how dad once got it from Chloe, which is kinda sad and boring too. We liked rolling in the grass. Frost did another roll yesterday in a park while I napped cuz it rained the night before and I didn't need to get my fur muddy.

Funny thing is, over the weekend we met a pair of dogs at Shirlington who looked just like us, but the boypup looked a little like me (but with muddy paws and belly) and the girlpup looked like Frost with a shaved muzzle. But we didn't get to really introduce ourselves, cuz their human came out of the coffeeshop and ran with them across the street. Our human didn't seem to mind, cuz she told us to hurry up and back to our car....

I liked the admirers more. One of the nicest people we met, though, wouldn't pet us on Sunday, cuz she said other customers might be upset since they couldn't see her wash her hands afterward. My human said that showed she was a real considerate person, and bought some honey, which isn't as nice as the lamb bones we got the last two Sundays. Talk about yumtastic!

Gotta go now, tho.

Wags,

Tara.

Hi Tara!

Mommy was in the hospital for a week, so I've been at my human sister's house for a while. She doesn't believe in pups using her computer either! can you imagine?

Mommy is some better now. I'm glad to be home with Mommy though. Mommy said her sugar went up to 800. she passed out in the floor and I couldn't wake her up no matter how much I licked her face and hands! But my human brother came when no one had heard from Mommy and they called the ambulance who took her to the hospital.

Mommy went to the doctor today because her feet and hands are really swelled. She gained 11 lbs in just 14 days! That's 6 more lbs than what I weigh!! The doctor got some blood work on her and he is sending her to have a sonar on her heart! But the doctor thinks that the extra fluid weight she is carrying around is because of all the fluids that she got in the hospital. So I'll update ya'll when we find out something more! Poodle Prayers please!

Love,
April

Hi, pup pals! And a special hello to young pup Phoebe, whose picture with her first poodlecut I just saw this morning. Welcome. emoticon And we'd like to hear from you too!

Yup, it's been nearly a month since anyone's chatted here, so I guess everyone's been busy. Me and Frost have been trying to chase away the winter, or at least the cheeky black squirrel digging holes in our human's pots and munching in our backyard. We got trimsies too, but not the full trimmed muzzle look like Phoebe. Not that there's anything wrong with it. Certainly it's less messy licking ice cream and other yummies like we got after our long walk. Our human gave some of our winter fur to the birdies who are starting to make nests now.

Anyhow, we've recovered from our history schmistory walk in Richmond yesterday in the poodelicious weather. We loved the pretty flowers, and lots of admirers too. Several told our human how well behaved we were. Yup, that's right -- a long walk and no lap timeout even for Frost. OK, our human was a little peeved when we barked at a apricot (chocolate?) standard poodle when we walked up to the Capitol nearly at the end, probably cuz she wanted to chat with his human instead of catching up with our very nice history group that cut through the sightseeing bus line.

Well, when we got home, she even looked up the Governor's dogs to make sure that we weren't being rude to a Very Important Dog. Well, it turns out the internet says the governor's dog is named Daisy (yup, the same name the shelter tried to give me long ago). She looks lots like us, not like that big poodle, so we didn't cause a political problem or nothing. Woof! Besides, we're Important Dogs too, and that big dog needed to hear that we're tough.

Wags to all,

Tara.

Oopsie. We heard on the radio about the horrible ice and snow in Colorado yesterday and going up to Canada. Seems winter's not done everywhere. The radio says we might get some rain tonight, but we can stay cozy inside. We're saying poodle prayers that our pals are all safe and warm.

Hi, April. Glad to hear from you, and sorry about your getting no bites after the parade. At our parade, the sub shop lady was giving out mini subs, and my human got one, but didn't share after we got back to our car. No fair!

Actually, she's been pretty good sharing breakfast sausages with us for Lent, which starts right after Mardi Gras. The problem is she's getting more sandwiches without meat, so no chance of shares there. But we restocked with chicken yummies at the yuppie puppy shop yesterday, so that's OK. Actually, it might've been the day's best part, cuz it was a wet fur day, and the day before too. Plus last night we said poodle prayers for all the pups caught in the nasty tornados in southern Virginia, and in the snow storm in Chicago and Indiana. Oh, my!

Anyhow, on Monday afternoon we had lots of fun, tho we also got a teensie tired, and only got the Lent sausages as yummies. We went to Mount Vernon, which was the farm of George Washington a very long time ago. The weather was poodlelicious (Frost says bichontastic), and after our human finally found a parking spot, we got lots of admirers. Turns out Mt. Vernon is free on George Washington's birthday, or maybe President's Day. One lady said it's now free only on President's day, which was the Monday before, when we were all slip sliding on the ice in the morning, and staying inside most of the afternoon to keep out fur dry. Anyway, probably nobody came out, or they decided to be nice and have another free day this Monday, which was the First President's real birthday.

We saw cows, and sheep and a few other dogs. One lady said most of George Washington's dogs were hunting dogs, and they haven't excavated or rebuilt the kennels, which were down the hill by the Potomac river, maybe so the people in the house couldn't always hear the howlers. We also visited Washington's tomb, which was kinda crowded, and the slave memorial, which had a ceremony and a couple of people talked how slaves back then were chattel just like dogs, which wasn't nice at all. The guide lady told us that George Washington's niece Nelly had a Cavalier King Charles spaniel when she lived in the big house as a girl, but we didn't see any spaniels there, or any pictures of them, though we've met them at Shirlington and in Alexandria. I wondered whether that spaniel came with Nellie to Arlington House, which is in the big cemetery by our house, but we didn't talk to the guides when we were there last summer.

We met a nice maltipoo named Wallace over by the old tomb and kennels, and again by the garden, where our human took pictures of what she said were the first crocuses of the spring. Frost sort of behaved, or at least Wallace was a little scared of bichonboy at first and hid behind his human, then wanted to play a hide-a-poo game with Frost, who wasn't interested. In between we introduced ourselves politely, of course. Turns out Wallace just came from California, where it was 70 degrees. That's why he was wearing a grey coat, when almost every other pup was in his or her own fur. Yes, we met another pup in clothes, sort of. Well, the tzu named Lovely I think never got out of her stroller or buggy or whatever over by the snoozing cows, so we never could sniff and introduce ourselves proper. She seemed OK, but I'd be hot under both a coat and a blanket in what my human said was 60 degree weather. I hope her humans brought a water bottle like our human.

Yes, Frost got a laptime out, for barking lots at a wiemeramer (I don't know how its spelled, but it was a lot bigger than him of course). I think he didn't mind a bit, cuz then other humans said he was cute standing with his front paws on our human's shoulder. OK, he did bark at a few other dogs, and my human kept him away from the dachshund and other dog that Wallace was visiting, tho she talked to one of his humans about the crocuses and snowdrops (which are actually flowers, though in a few places around the parking lot we saw some ugly dirty snow from that storm weeks ago--and Frost just had to mark it). Lots of humans noticed me and admired me with all my four paws on the ground, and not the mud, if you know what I mean.

Well, that's it for now. I hope spring is coming for all my poodle and doodle pals, and Ling Ling too, of course.

Wags,

Tara.

Hi peeps!

Hey tara! Mommy was in the Mardi Gras parade here! It was with her red hat ladies and they decorated a float, which was actually a truck pulling a trailer. Then they had an after party. Mommy said the food was good, but she didn't bring me any bites!

Well its nap time!

Poodle kisses!

Hi, April and Silver. Sorry to hear about your leg, Silver. Elvis had a paw problem last year but got better by eating treats with some glucosamine stuff. I don't know if that would help you but my human said it helped Elvis' mim with a hip problem a long time ago. Ive never tried it, tho I tried to get some after our long Richmond walk.

Yup, me and Frost have been traveling pups. We went to Richmond three times, but the first two were real rainy. Well, at least it melted most of the snow. Then Monday the weather was OK, or at least the rain wasn't exactly ready, so we took a walk by and across the river, like more than two miles. We only saw one guy in black on the woodsy side, and he smiled at us. After we crossed, our human got a phone call she wasn't happy about cuz she called it a scumbag real estate pretext, and tried texting the guy back so he could show if he was legit, but the message went to Microsoft, she found when we got back to the car. So she sent it again and the liar didn't call or text back. We just cuddled on dad's coat and napped.

We recovered soon enough and had a fun walk on Fat Tuesday. At first Frost barked at the other dogs. I told him to chill and be grateful our human's just putting beads on her neck and not ours. I think the next band did a better job at convincing him, or maybe he liked the lights and music. Boy those Ballou marchers could dance. And the Batala marchers we missed liked them lots to as they watched from the side with us and waved drumsticks and stuff.

Yesterday cold weather came again. And it's even colder today. So, stay warm!

Wags,

Tara

Hi silver!

In so sorry about your leg! Mommy got me some little pet stairs so I wouldn't hurt myself getting up and down on the furniture. She just used a treat to show me how to go up and down one time and it was in my mind then. Of course it was! I'm a poodle! I'll be saying poodle prayers that you leg doesn't hurt you too much.

I guess our other friends are snowed in because I haven't heard from then. Anyway I better get into the kitchen cause I hear mommy in there and that means FOOD!

Poodle kisses

Hello to my little friends, Some bad news, I have been hobbling around our place for the last couple of months. My vet told me that I have torn my back leg ligament on my left leg. I went jumping around outside and hurt it one afternoon.Since I'm 13 years old this year the vet said they usually only give an operation to repair it if I was under 5 years old. They said Ligaments don't grow back. Not much that they can do, It doesn't keep me from running around, I just hold my little leg up. The doctor said I might grow bone cart ledge on the side of my knee joint. You guys have fun playing ball. I sure wish that I could, but for now I must just lay around and take things easy. I even have a hard time getting on the couch and chairs. Mom says she hopes it will get better real soon.

Sure hope you will have some warm spring weather soon, we all miss not going to the park and smelling the lovely green grass and flowers. Silver

Hi, April and LingLing. My human says I can be a stormpoodle today, but I just wanna stay inside and cuddle. It started snowing yesterday, and it's still snowing. My human shoveled a long path yesterday for us to do our numbers. Frost went all the way to the end and marked. I marked near the fire hydrant. Frost wanted to go out into our backyard until our human opened the door and he saw snow there too. She shoveled the back steps but still he didn't want to go down. Me neither.

Last night we didn't get anywhere near the hydrant. Lots more snow. My human just shoveled from our porch to the front of our car. Only my tail was nigher than the snow. I got the message, and so did Frost. This morning she shoveled around the side of the car as we watched from the window. When she let us outside, we thought we could go out for breakfast, but she was just getting something out of the car, so we hurried back inside. Dad gave us our breakfast inside.

Our street hasn't been plowed yet, but we can see the plows on the big street nearby, and one street over. An Arlington officer lives by that street and he might need to get to work. Our next door neighbor works for Alexandria and he had to work all night. My human says we can just pray that the power doesn't go out, so we can stay cozy. Looks like she'll be doing lots of shoveling.

Me, I agree with you and your mommy April that we're ready for spring. We even saw some daffydil buds last week!

Wags,

Tara.

Hi LingLing! Wag wag wag!

Mommy says she is ready for spring and I am too!

Things are breaking here too! Mommy's car is in the shop and it's going to cost 962.00! Mommy gave them 400.00 and when she gets her check on the 3rd, she will have to give them 562.00! Wow that's all the money she will have till March 3rd! She is very mad at that car!

Mommy knows nice people at her church too! She works part time for a nice couple that owns an insurance company. He is picking her up and taking her home from work too. AND he let's me go to work with her!

Another lady that mommy used to babysit for is a personal trainer and she works with mommy at the gym, whatever that is. Mommy had a Leslie Sansone low impact Cardo tape she does here at the house too. Me? I just watch!

Well gotta go do My numbers!

Poodle kisses

Hi ya, April, Tara & any new friends I may not have met yet,

Sheesh it sure is Not hot now, we did not get out of the 20's all day! Well, the man on T.V. said it went all the way to 30! But that was in a place called Memphis, where ever that is. Mommy said that we are higher so we are colder by a few degrees.29-3O I don't care, it's cold!! Last night it got into the teens & tonight it's supposed to get lower. In fact, Mom said it's supposed to be bitter cold into next week, but mommy and I stay nice and toasty, we snuggle real close, and she turns her E-blanket on. Snuggling is so fun!
A few months ago we thought that we could get a new Wi-Fi for mommy's computer and that would be that, No such luck.when the man on the other side of the phone tried to restart it - it was a no go. He said that we would have to buy a restart disc from Dell, he did not know how much it would be. Uhh oh ! I don't like the sound of that ! Anyway mom is going to call about it next month. What's next ?
Mom's T.V. blew out last Sunday afternoon Melissa Free, a nice lady at church had already said that she had one to give us, so when ours went out mom called her. This Sunday the nice lady found a nice younger man who owned a 28 inch color set that was already at the church. He gave it to us. The nice people who bring mommy to church every week loaded it into their truck and brought it and mommy home .
Another friend came today and hooked it up. Mommy sure does know a lot of nice people! And our new TV has a beautiful picture.
Well, stay warm, it's going to be a C-C--C
OOO-d night. & Tara, I'm sure it will be even colder there so please stay warm & take care.

love, hugs, & kisses,
LingLing

Hi Tara! Wag Wag Wag!

We have been just hanging out. Taking walks around the neighborhood. good sniffs though. Mommy's car has to have a water pump and a starter (whatever those are) and it's going to cost 960.00. Mommy is really upset about that. Mommy says this car is a lemon, but I licked it and it didn't taste like a lemon to me. Anyway the car is in the shop so we are grounded.

I hope ya'll stay warm up there where you are!

Hi, pup pals. We have a powee failure tonight, which is a little scary and boring too. I hate the beeping downstairs. My human says its the battery backup. She tried to sneak out, but we sneaked too, so she took us to Shirlington, and we saw the library close, so we took a walk in the wind and a little snow too. I had my pink shirt on so i didnt get wet, and Frost barked that the weather was fun. He almost got a laptime out for forgetting his manners like on Sunday when he lunged at a youngpup named Barbie, a white maltipoo just 5 months old. Elvis was with us and tried to tell her that was just bichonboy being silly, but she took a while to come out from behind her human even during Frosts laptime out. Now my human says her phone needs charging in the car, so gotta go.

Wags,

Tara

Hi LingLing & Tara!

Yep that rain was really awful! Mommy put on my rain coat and also held an umbrella over me. She called me a prissy pants, but I didn't have any pants on! We were lucky that we didn't get flooded in our part of Alabama too much. some road closings.

The bad thing was that it rained so bad on Christmas day, that we didn't get to go down and see the family! which means I didn't get any good bites!

We are also staying home tonight and watch some ball go down. when it hits the ground, I plan to try and get it and run with it!

Happy New Year to you all! I hope 2016 brings us lots of tasty bites and good sniffs and Poodle adventures!!!

Love,
April

Hi, April and Ling LIng. I'm hoping you're both OK, cuz me and Frost saw on TV about the nasty storms and floods some poodles and people had for Christmas and the last couple of days. Very scary. After the TV stories about the nasty rains in Alabama and Mississippi, we were relieved to see LingLing's human posted on the wall here, tho our human doesn't do that, and well, you can imagine what Frost does to walls!. Then TV stories showed Texas tornado damage, and Kentucky horses not wanting to leave their little island hill though humans said the flood was coming, but then they finally listened, which was OK. Still, lots worse than our wet weather.

Anyhow, before Christmas we went to a Living Nativity, but I didn't want to get out of the car cuz of the rain. Frost looked at the goats and sheep and cow and wanted to bark, so he got a laptime out. Some kids petted him instead of those animals, which he didn't mind at all. On Christmas day we met two poodles at Shirlington, Max and Leia. Frost was even polite. Not so yesterday with a golden doodle, so he got another laptime out. We've also had a couple trips to Petsmart, but mostly I go out and take care of business quickly and return to our porch or inside. Frost tells dad he wants to go out into the backyard even in the misty weather, which I think is silly. On Saturday we got a little wet even under the awnings at Shirlington cuz the drainpipe there had a leak and was shooting water out. Not that we got shivery. It was warm til yesterday, so warm that Frost's pal Mocha got shaved. Now she'll have to wear clothes or stay insides til her fur grows back.

Otherwise, we've had a couple of walks when it dried up a little, and our human planted some bulbs and pansies in her garden after she took out the tomatoes. Me, I'd rather stay inside in this emoticon weather, especially since we have a couple of yummy ham bones to enjoy... emoticon

Now, we've gotta take care of important pup business and get dad to the car for breakfast.

Tara.

Hi Poodles, Doodles, Kitties & Peeps!!! Wag wag wag!!

We have a silver Christmas tree with different sized red balls and some pretty lights on it! Mommy turns it on at night.

Yes LingLing, it's very warm here too! it was 61 when we got up this morning, and it's going up to 70. it's going to be 75 on Christmas! Whoa, that is weird! I've only gotten to wear my Christmas dresses once! It's too warm to wear them.

Mommy has been taking me on some good sniffy walks. It has been raining but luckily it stops long enough for some outside time.

I hope everyone has a great holiday!

Hi, LingLing. Soooo good to hear from you. Your house sounds real cozy, and I'm glad you and your human are doing good.

The weather's crazy warm here too. It got wet a couple of days ago, then cooler and the tv weather guys say it'll be warm again for Christmas. So Frost and me haven't been wearing our fancy clothes, which is OK by me. My human was happy that her big tomato plant didn't freeze so she and dad are still getting tiny tomatoes, which me and Frost know isn't proper pup food.

The only problem with the warm weather was that a tick came and stuck right on the tippee top of my head, which of course I couldn't reach to get off. Then my human couldn't find her tick remover key so we had to go to the store for a new one and instructions. I thought it was gonna be worse than matsie trimming, but she got the bugger off and checked that its nasty mouth was still whole before stomping it dead on the sidewalk. I didn't mind at all.

Anyway, my human's been real busy, so no history schmistory trip to Richmond like she wanted last Sunday. She had to change phones and ISPs again cuz she said the nasty robocallers were messing with both. I even heard her cussing some insurance company callcenter for not acknowledging her faxes about dad (who seems OK to us), tho we didn't mind cuz we got to go to Petsmart (which has really interesting sniffs) after she got out of Staples (which doesn't let us in).

Frost doesn't like the penguin our human put in the back yard so she could see at night, and the people in the park and the sidewalk and side street could see our Holiday Cheer. Frost barked Bah Humbug at it until our human turned it off. He won't go near it, even when it's not lit, so go figure. He doesn't mind the tree lights, not in our backyard or our neighbors or Shirlington. He didn't even try to leave pmail on them. He says that's cuz everybody can see they're just lights, and the penguin looks like an animal that needs to be barked at. Me, I didn't mind being able to see in the backyard since its so dark so long. At least I could tell it wasn't an animal. Now we have the trees which sparkle and are just fine. No snow suits me just fine too.

Anyhow, here's wishing Holiday Cheer to you and April and all our pals, emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Wags,

Tara.

Hi April and Tara and all my other pup
friends,

I just woke up and I monopolized mommy's lap while we read Your Post.
Your history schmistery (that's a bugger to spell) trip sounds very interesting, wish I had been along.
The weather here has been beautiful! If you did not know better you would think that it were april. Mother nature must be very confused. After the cold front passes we are expected to have temperatures running between 55 + 60 Plus for for Christmas week. this weather is crazy! Anyway I do want to wish you all a Merry Christmas! Santa already brought me my gift last October. He brought me my own house. He brought it so early because mommy need you to bring me to the doctor in it.
The doctor said that I was in very good health and she was very pleased with my weight, she told mom that it has not changed in 3.years.I hope that Santa will be very good to you to! Mommy bought a 3pound turkey breast, and some stove top dressing & we're having some garlicky green beans, yummy😋!!! emoticon

Hi, April! I hope you and our pup and kitty friends had a yummy Thanksgiving. Me and Elvis had poodelicious turkey nibbles and Frost said his nibbles were bichontastic!

The weather has been poodelicious too these last few days, but by the time we got to the dog park yesterday afternoon, almost all the dogs were gone, or maybe the small dogs were waiting at their houses for turkey. In the morning, we got admirers at church, but were a little miffed that our human was planting some of the flowers she got in Richmond yesterday rather than take us to the dog park. Plus she said Ikea was closed so dad had his breakfast at home. The weirdest thing was that she picked some flowers too and put them in the fancy dinner salad. Of course all pups know salads aren't real food, but eating pansies? Definitely weird.

Anyhow, the day before Thanksgiving, we picked up Elvis and had a history schmistory trip. We got to Richmond a little later than my human wanted, I think, cuz of an accident and backup on I-95. We said poodle prayers when we saw an ambulance leave ahead of us. Then we got to the Capitol Square and found lots of admirers. Some kids asked if we were the Governor's dogs, but my human said no, then allowed the polite kids to pet us nicely. Then we walked to the Governor's house but didn't go inside the gate cuz the police said the governor's dogs were inside, tho we didn't see them so we don't know if they are poodles or big dogs or what. We did see some men carrying out a dead deer and put it into the government pickup truck. Frost barked, either at the men or the dead deer. I'm not sure, cuz me and Elvis saw some real Indians (we're supposed to calll them Native Americans I think), who admired us too. Turns out that on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving every year for a long long time, Virginia Indians come to Richmond and give the Governor gifts, like the deer. We were too late to see the dancing or hear the speeches, just did what you call our numbers and let our human pick the poop up and put it in the trash can

Then after my human made some more stops and her pickups (like the flowers), we drove on the history schmistory part, which my human said avoided some nasty traffic. We enjoyed the sunshine. At first, I thought Elvis wasn't gonna like the history schmistory part cuz he started fussing in Spotsylvania by the Court House. So we stopped, but he wasn't sick or nothing, just knew someplace important I guess. So we let our human take pictures of some old jail and also a sign that said lots of soldiers died bravely there, and got back into our car. The next stop was woodsy and had lots of signs, which I thought kinda boring, but Frost and Elvis loved the smells. Turns out my human was looking for a real old house, but her phone got the place wrong, so she stopped at Burger King to ask directions. We didn't mind, cuz of course we got more admirers, plus licks of froyo!

Then she drove the other way from what the phone said, and we found a sign about how the Marquis de Lafayette and lots of Revolutionary War soldiers camped there, and a graveyard with lots of good smells. My human thought she saw the right house through the trees, but didn't want to jump over fences or anything, so we got back into the car, and found another sign and a parking lot. We walked up the road closed to cars, all the way to the house. No people were around, but we heard some motor from one building, and our human looked at the signs. Frost and Elvis said the grass was perfect for zooming, so while my human took pictures, they zoomed lots, round and round, especially by another cemetery with just one big stone. No, we didn't go inside that fence to leave pmail, but my human liked the view. She said that stone marked the grave for Stonewall Jackson's arm, which was kinda weird,. She said she had wanted to check if there were markers for other people there, like a lady who wanted to free 93 slaves, but the court decided only one man could go free, which lots of people thought not fair. All I know is that there were no other gravestones, not for that lady, nor her daughter, nor the other lady and man who insisted the people had to stay slaves, until President Lincoln said no, which was a little bit of what that nasty war had been about. Turns out the house had also been owned by a law professor and his family for a long time. On our way back to the car, we saw a deer, who jumped away into the woods even though Frost didn't bark at it or nothing.

Well, we were a long way from home, and as we drove to Fredericksburg, my human told us that lots of battles had been fought all around in the Civil War, or what some people around here call the War between the States. Lots and lots of soldiers died. One sign said that the trench warfare battles in 1863 or 1864 (I don't remember which) alone in the Wilderness and Spotsylvania or Chancellorsville killed more men than Gettysburg in Pennsylvania or Antietem in Maryland, which were also very sad places and the signs called them halllowed ground. We'll have to come back on some other day to hike and drive the battlefield trail. We saw a really big orange moon rise as the sun set and we drove back,to Fredericksburg. Our human said some humans call it the mourning moon. That means sadness, like after someone dies, but our radio wasn't playing sad music. Then after dad got hot dog nibbles for us at Costco. traffic was still bad

Our human took one more break, to wait for the traffic to clear she said. This was at the old church we visited Sunday, where me and Frost got lots of admirers. Lots of cars were parked in the lot, and my human said she wanted to give thanks for the Good Samaritan who found her laptop in the Fredericksburg library, an other stuff. We pups couldn't go inside of course, and dad didn't want to, so Elvis cuddled on his lap and we waited and listened to the music, which wasn't sad either. When our human came outside with the other humans, she asked if we had seen any ghosts, cuz some people say the graveyard is haunted. Nope. We thought it OK, but after the tiring walk and zoom, we just wanted to get home, so we did, though Frost barked at something or someone just as we left.

Well, that's it for now.

Wags,

Tara.

Hi, April. Our human ate at Applebee's too!And we're so looking forward to Thanksgiving, or even a couple of days before, when Elvis visits.Actually, Elvis visited for a couple of days a couple of weeks ago, but we didn't do lots of stuff cuz our human was busy, just a couple of walks at Shirlington and cuddles and nibbles. Tomorrow's supposed to be a wet fur day, but today was supposed to be one tooo, and it turned out to be perfect poodle weather. Frost even made friends with a pit bull named Callie at the dog park, but I didn't want her to sniff my butt.

Our human says the weather's supposed tp get good again by next Tuesday, which is when Elvis is coming, cuz his humans are traveling way far away. She says maybe on the weekend we can drive to Fredericksburg so me and Frost can show Elvis all the good smells and nice folks. I just hope she gets her phone fixed. When I got your post this morning, I tried to reply but twice got page not available after signing in. Fersure.

Now, I gotta get some sleep. I had just settled in a couple of hours ago, when my human went downstairs. Frost followed her, but I didn't, thinking she'd be back upstairs quick. Well, she left the house without me, with just Frost, and was gone over an hour. Boy, was I upset, ad I let them know it when they got back. I only felt canine again when she gave us our chickie treats. Fersure, I'm not letting her sneak out again tonight.

Wags,

Jane.

Hi, April, Ling Ling and all my quiet poodle pals (hint , hint)!

The weather today is a little windy but Frost and me are in full fur, so we don't mind. Our human changed jackets, though, so we might not be able to relax on her comfy old leather jacket for a while.

Anyhow, the weather was poodelicious on Veterans Day. We had a history schmistory walk after dad got his hair cut as a Veterans special. He was in the Navy, but we learned a little about Army stuff on our walks in Falmouth, which is across the Rappahannock river from Fredericksburg and very important in the Civil War. When we walked around Chatham, which has the way high parking lot, we even saw two cannons pointed at Fredericksburg way below us. After Frost had a nice roll in the grass, we learned the big ole house was a hospital in the Civil War, and the lawn even a cemetery for some of the soldiers, until they were reburied in the cemetery we visited last year in Fredericksburg. Most of the time, though it was a farm, and it's now a museum and park.

I could feel some of the sadness still. My human said famous humans like Clara Barton and Walt Whitman were nurses in the big house, and Dr. Mary Walker, who was the first and only lady to get the Medal of Honor worked at that hospital cutting off soldiers arms and legs and stuff, which I thought was really scary and very sad. But we also met some nice admirers. Two ladies even wanted to take our pictures, so that was OK.

Later, our human stopped in a parking lot by the river to look at a historical marker with Frost, which turned out to be about a guy who lived across the street and took some former slaves to Ohio to keep them safe in that nasty war. Well, a police car stopped to give someone a ticket, so I decided another walk would be OK. We saw two small dogs wearing jackets walk toward us with their humans, but Frost barked at them. Then their humans said they weren't friendly, so our human walked instead to a lady resting with her bike. She said I reminded her of her dog who died a long time ago, so I let her pet me and laid down next to her while my human and her talked. Then the ticket thing finished, so we got back into the car and drove to a restaurant where dad got some great smelling food take out (that we're supposed to sample tonight!) and we walked around outside and let some kids pet us a little bit.

Anyhow, dad got his hair cut in Stafford, and also got our car's oil changed as a Veterans Day Special, which we didn't think anywhere near as fun as the food specials and nibbles. Plus we didn't want our fur cut too! Although now we have a white Standard Poodle in the neighborhood named Eddie who has a pretty fancy haircut that Frost barks at. We also walked to Lowes so our human could look at and buy plants, and our human said she saw a pink prancing poodle in a Christmas light display inside. We didn't go inside, so I'm not really sure, and it's probably a good thing that Frost didn't leave pmail on it!

Phew! That dog running into your human's car certainly didn't have Poodle Smarts, April. We saw a terrier pup like that last month in the Italian market. He came running past us into the street in the Italian Market, so my human yelled "STOP" real loud. We stopped, and the cars too, but not the little dog with fur colored like mine but kinda spikey. Lots of humans were running after him. He even ran into Washington Street, which is really big, so lots of humans were yelling. Then maybe thought a little bit, or heard the guy he wanted to hear, or maybe our Poodle Prayers worked. He ran back toward us. We were so glad to see the boypup (of course) jump into the arms of a human guy-- all safe! The man told our human the pup's name was Scruffy.

We hadn't met him before on our walks, and we didn't see him either on our last trip to Philadelphia. Then we barked at J.J. through his door, and Rosie from our car. On a walk in our park we met a nice silver poodle named Benjamin and his maltipoo pal who wanted to say hi, but a little girl wanted to ride with him on her tricycle, so he couldn't. I hope Scruffy is still safe. And the maltipoo too, cuz our human talked to his human about putting him in a harness like Frost so the little kids can't pull his collar against his neck.

Well, that's it for now. Gotta convince our human to walk a bit more.

Tara.

Hi Tara & LingLing! Wag Wag Wag!!!

Yesterday was Veteran's day so Mommy got a lot of thanks for her service. She was in the Army.

It is such Poodlicious weather today! Sunny for a change. It rained for about two weeks here and Mommy said she was getting cabin fever whatever that is. I hope I do't catch it!!

No Poodle adventures lately, but I have been going for walks. Oh Oh Oh! Mommy was going real slowly through our apartment complex and a boston terrier doggie ran under Mommy's car!!! Mommy got out and looked for the dog, but couldn't find it. A woman came out and said it was her dog and Mommy asked her why it was out and the woman told Mommy that she had just let her out for a minute cause she was going to take her trash out. Mommy was so upset and told that woman that if she can't take her doggie out herself on a leash, she probably needs to give it away, if it lives! We came back later and the doggie had come home and it only had a small scrape. Mommy was so glad!! She told the woman if she loves her pup she will take her out on a leash!

Whew!

Love,
April

Hi, April! So glad to hear from you, and sorry to write so late. Sorry too to see one of your posts got mostly erased. That happened to me once too.

Anyway, it's wet here, so I think today's gonna have lots of laptime, I hope with cuddles. Yesterday, me and Frost mostly watched from the couch as our humans were fixing something on top of the porch. OK, we got out a teensy bit to say hi to our tzu pal Mocha. I would've liked a nice walk in the overcast but poodelicious weather, but our human sneaked out without us a couple of times too. At least yesterday she was mostly home, unlike the day before when she left after a teensy breakfast walk and didn't come back til late. Plus the Ravens lost again, so the chicken she brought back for dad (and that he shared of course) didn't taste quite so good...

Now it's fall and Frost is having some problems with burrs in his tail. Twice he's gotten big ole clumps, which he can't get out, and hates having our humans pull out. Me, I'm not gonna groom him like his mama, who should've taught him these basics I think. Plus, I protect myself by just staying in the car when we drive up to that park, so our human takes us to Shirlington afterward or later, which is much funner. We even met another nice tzu named Gizmo.

That's it for now. Hope you're feeling better with the cooler weather. It seems LingLing had to sign up for Sparks again so maybe we'll be hearing from him soon...

Wags,

Tara.

Hi, April! So glad to hear from you! Today the weather's poodelicious! Yesterday me and Frost went to the dog park and met a nice pup named Gomez, and did a couple of zooms. He's an Alaskan spitz or something and has fur kinda colored like mine, but straight and lots of it. His human talked a little bit with our human about the Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens and exciting football games that they lost. Well, zooming is more fun, and Gomez was in full fur with an Eagles bandana collar so we really couldn't tell that he had been shaved for the summer, just stopped for drinks when we got too hot.

We had some scary storms overnight, which cuddling made better. The news says the Carolinas had bad flooding, but not here, which is good. And I didn't hear about really bad weather in Alabama neither.

Right now I think our human is a little worried. Not cuz we had a short walk in D.C. in the morning and got admirers, nor the old Maryland churchyard walk after her Costco stop with dad, but because a human came into our car in our driveway just after we got home. She went inside with the groceries she just bought and to heat some chili in the microwave for dad, and he followed her slowly, of course. He left us in the car cuz he doesn't want to trip over Frost, and we don't mind. Usually Frost jumps to look out the window while I just chill. When she came right out to take us inside, Frost didn't have his collar nor harness on, so she put on his collar and looked around as I jumped out. No one else was outside, just a white van in the new neighbors' driveway. Of course, we can't tell her who did it, and she's worried its another threat from the same nasty Palatine people who hurt me by pulling out so many teeth, or the nasty Richmond officer who said he wanted to take us away from her. Maybe she's just worried about the computer error message that started Wednesday night after an AMD update, though she only seemed annoyed Thursday when she tried reporting it to Microsoft and it wouldn't accept her question.

Anyhow, I'm just glad her sniffles from Friday and yesterday seem better, though Frost wanted to tear up more kleenexes. I think cuddles are a better idea, but we're willing to just rest together on our bed and watch her do computer stuff if that's what she wants.

Wags,

Tara.

Hi, Silver. Glad to hear from you, and to hear about your pup pal Annie. It's a wet fur day here, and kinda cool. Yesterday, we went for a walk in the mist and heard that today's pet blessing day. So I think we're gonna go somewhere and hear about St. Francis, and meet some fun pups, and maybe kitties and birdies and stuff. Last year Frost got a laptime out for sniffing the birdies til they or their human freaked out. I don't remember who thought he was a problem cuz he wasn't even barking or nothing. Me, I like the admirers, but too many big pups that wanna sniff my butt--well I don't mind going but might need some protective laptime or cuddles.

Wags,

Tara

P.S. (that means oops) Sorry I didn't mention you too April. We went to the pet blessing and said poodle prayers for you too. Actually we went to two places cuz my human said the socialization was good for us and we got stuck in traffic and she couldn't find a book she wanted. We didn't mind, cuz we had admirers, and my human's leg was a lot warmer than sitting on the stones waiting for the blessing so the shar pei and other pups didn't sniff my butt. We did meet some nice pups too, and the new doxie from down the street, Susie, came too. No birdies and very few kitties came, Ling Ling, probably because of the cool weather, or maybe because the Redskins were playing. We were so glad the Ravens won on Thursday. So more wags and poodle prayers.....

Hi Everyone,

I'm having one of my mom's friend's Jack Dempsey little girl named Annie over for a few weeks, since she left for a trip I am told. I am getting along pretty good, She loves to play with me and my mom says the is a pretty good girl. I am a little jealous, but I sure love mom when she gives us little treat bones in the morning. I think I will be happy when little Annie goes back to her own home though. Then she will be really happy again. She doesn't seem to miss her family very much, but I know that she does. I like her home, and I sometime go there when my mom and dad have to go somewhere for a few days.. Annie's mom loves and takes care of me. Love to you and I hope all my little puppy friends are doing good, lick lick, Silver

I told my girls Goodnight one night, and all but one was gone by the next morning !

Hi Tara! Wag Wag!!!

Thanks for the Poodle Prayers! I'm sure they will work, because they are very powerful!!

Wow ya'll get to go to some cool places. We finally got moved on Memorial Day. Mommy is really tired but not me!!! Mommy held me almost the entire time!!!

Yeah that extra cheese is nummy to my tummy for sure. I heard Mommy talking to someone and she said she was going to make chicken and dumplings!!! Drool! (pawdon me) those things are sooooo good! I hope she does!.

Here in Alabama if you leave your dogs in the car with the windows up, even if they have water, you go to jail!! Whoa that is a scary thought!! AND they take your furbabies away and you aren't allowed to have them ever again. I would cry my Poodly eyes out and Mommy would too!

Well I have to go pee. those pills make me pee all the time. Mommy has learned to give me the lasix (whatever that is) earlier in the day.

Poodle Kisses

April

Hi, April. So good to hear from you. Sorry to hear you're a little sick, plus had to move again. We've been saying poodle prayers for you and your heart. Your cheese balls sound nummy.

Me and Frost just got back from Illinois, where it was way hot. Come to think of it, it's way hot here in Virginia too.

Plus, me and Frost might not be able to go to Richmond any more. We were in our car napping nicely in the underground garage when our human came down from the library with a bike cop who was sweating a lot. He said he wanted to take us away from her and put us in jail, which sounded way crazy, especially since he didn't want to look at us inside the car or our full water bowl, and kept telling her we had driven in at noon, when her parking ticket said 1:30. Since his uniform said Capitol Police we worried we were in trouble for doing our business near the capitol before driving in, even though our human did her pooper scooper thing, and we had several admirers, including a vet in a scooter. But the bike cop without a bike said our human was cruel for keeping our windows closed, like she always does in mosquito places.

OK, we managed to leave and the next night we did a car camping thing in Kickapoo Park, which had mosquitoes but no police, just froggies and cicadas and two other car campers. Then we drove to the showers place and saw lots of RVs -- and Frost barked at the other dogs, of course. I thought the moon was pretty too, like the people in Richmond who have always been nice to us before that bike cop. Kinda a bummer, if you ask us, but then they didn't.... And our human did get up twice to do the A/C thing when we needed it in Illinois...

Anyhow, we did a few little history schmistory walks about Abraham Lincoln places in Illinois, which are pretty in a different way than the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, with all the Japanese Cherry Trees and admirers in the spring. We visited Danville, where Lincoln argued lots of cases as an Illinois lawyer, and he and Stephen Douglas gave political speeches under some maple trees a long time ago before he was elected and went to Washington.

Then in Springfield we visited the street Lincoln used to live on. We thought the wooden sidewalk was neat. Though it had lotsa cracks, our paws didn't fall through or nothing and it was much cooler than the normal sidewalk that we walked on from the parking garage. Of course, we knew to walk in the shade as much as possible too. All the tourists and the park service guides said we looked real cute, even the one guide Frost barked at. We learned that Lincoln had a dog named Fido who had to stay in Springfield when they moved to Washington, D.C., and that his family also liked horses and cats.

Then we went to the cemetery where almost the whole Lincoln family is buried, along with lots of others. I could see the big memorial thing, but didn't want to leave our car's A/C. Frost, however, guarded our human as she paid her respects. He said the grass wasn't as nice as at the Danville maple place, where he had a few good rolls. Then we drove by the big military cemetery. We wanted to pay our respects like at Arlington Cemetery (and of course do our marking outside beforehand), but the sign said no pets allowed, so we couldn't. Another sign outside said there were lots of Confederate graves too, with pointy tombstones so their ghosts couldn't hang out. But we couldn't see them, just a regular funeral line of cars going in, and yet another sign saying watering was allowed despite the drought that turned much of the corn all brown already.

Then we continued through pretty bad traffic to Glenview. Mostly, we had to wait inside with the fans while our human weedwhacked outside. She said it was just too hot for us to wait in the car, though we wanted to, and told her she could just run the A/C nice. Nope. OK, we did a couple potty runs, after our human warned us about the burrs. Unfortunately, we found out she was right, so we went back inside and didn't chase the froggies or nothing, just were glad to get out of there. We liked the licks of milkshake on the trip much better.

Finally, we were so glad to get back home to dad and frozen chickie and other yummies. But IMHO our human is spending too much time watering her garden, which she says is way too thirsty cuz of the heat and the storms that keep getting promised but don't come. Well, I don't miss the thunder and lightning!

We know fall will come eventually, so we're gonna get psyched for the Ravens game Sunday....

Wags,

Tara.

Hey Ya'll Wag Wag Wag!!

I haven't been here much cause I am a little sick. Mommy says I have congenital heart failure, but as you can see, my heart hasn't failed! I do have to take pills every day. Mommy doesn't know that I know but I get four cheese balls every day, and she sneaks a half a pill in each one. But they are tiny tiny so I don't care. I love cheese! It's nummy to my tummy!

Anyway, we are moving to a smaller apartment that doesn't have stairs and an extra bedroom that we don't use. Mommy's Grandson moved out and now Mommy says we need an apt with just one bedroom. Oh and I haven't seen it yet but there is a tree out in front so it is really nice and shady on our porch!

Well I guess I would like for ya'll to say a few Poodle prayers for me if you can. I don't want my heart to fall out!! I'm pretty sure I need it!!

Love
April

Hi, LingLing! Glad to hear from you. I'm resting a little cuz Elvis just went home. We went on a little history schmistory walk in Alexandria before dropping him off. The cemetery marker where we started said founded 1796, which is way old, but we only saw one gravestone at first. Elvis agreed with me and Frost that the grass was really nice, and that we didn't like the construction at the corner. We were respectful too, not going in the parts that said no dogs. Frost didn't bark at the far-away dogs like he does at home.

Maybe he calmed down a teensy bit after the doggie vendor fair at Shirlington Saturday. Lots and lots of dogs. We sniffed butt mostly nicely. and stayed out of the worst crowds, as well as the places that said "vet" or "obedience training." Frost eventually quieted down too, and didn't get a laptime out. We thought maybe we'd see the apricot poodle (small standard?) named Lincoln that we met last week, but it was too darn crowded, IMHO, tho we liked the music and compliments.

After supper we were going to teach Elvis to cheer for the Ravens, but they played really badly, so we went for a walk. I just wanna say it wasn't our fault. Last week, we found a dead crow or raven by the Confederate General's railroad track but didn't roll in it or nothing, and the Ravens did good on TV. Saturday morning Elvis found a dried-up mouse in the park and Frost rolled in it while our human laughed, but that wasn't a raven, no way. Maybe it's cuz my human didn't take her Ravens stuff out of the attic? Or we should just think of our poodle friends in Philadelphia cheering...

Anyhow, yesterday after my human stopped messing with her computer problems, we went out into our park and met a neighborhood barkpuppy who turned out not to be a doodle like my human thought but a morkie (maltese-yorkie mix). He gave Frost bark-for-bark before and after our polite sniffs.

That's all the news from Arlington,

Wags,

Tara.

Hi, April and newpup. I'm sorry I don't know your name. But you look like a pretty Poodle and I know you're friendly. Me and Frost are staying inside today cuz it's hot outside. Last Thursday we had maybe a little too much of a poodle adventure.

My human had to go to Philadelphia last weekend. Traffic was horrible, so we stopped by the park with the Confederate General's house that we visited in February. No snow now. Hahaha. But lots of poison ivy on the trail, so my human said we could cross to the good road on the other side on a big old black walnut tree that fell across the millrace. I didn't think that was a great idea, cuz the water looked scummy green. But she put us on top and then climbed up herself and scooted across on her butt. That did look funny. She kept lifting Frost ahead of her and I had to follow behind. Just before the end, I decided to hop down, and I landed in scum. Ugh. At least I kept my tail up and got to the other side. But my paws were all stinky muddy. The dirt road on the other side was easy, I'll admit. But when we got to the old mill, she wanted to take both our pictures by the big ole wheel. I gave her a piece of my mind when she tied us to the fence and backed up. She did wipe me off in the car, and I wiped my paws more on the pants she got for dad in Aberdeen cuz he doesn't like clothes shopping.

Well, then we went to Petco cuz she couldn't find our food under the seat. And three different people said how I needed a BATH. No way. I dried off and let her brush me real good. No one in Philly said I needed a bath, though JJ just barked friendly from his door. Still, I'm a teensy bit worried. I am not a water dog!

Wags,

Tara.

There were actually two! An older one who always hides and won't even let me approach her and a 4-month-old male who is fearless--even though I'm probably twice his weight. He was always charging at me and batting me with his front paws or biting at me. I would run from him, but then I couldn't help but follow after him if he went away. Very confusing! By the end of 4 days together, we were just starting to get to the place where we could play nicely, but then we had to leave.

After visiting my "nephew" cat (who lives in another state) last week, my mom bought me a new toy-- a fuzzy, feathered rodent-thing that chirps like a bird after I toss it in the air. I love it!!

Hi Tara! Wag Wag Wag!!!

Boy that man was really rude to yell at your Mom! My Mommy would have given him what for, as she says. He was probably sneaking around doing something or he wouldn't have been upset. Mommy says a hit dog hollers! (WHAT)?? She says that means if you aren't guilty things don't bother you\, only if you are guilty about things!!!

Its been so very hot here too.

Ok it's nappy time!!

Hi, April. It's been hot here. Two weeks staight of temps above 90 degrees according to the tv weather guy, until yestersays rain. Now it's a wet fur day, but my human says we're gonna pick up Elvis cuz his humans are doing another small vacation. I think it'll be fun, tho my humans been gone a lot without us doing library things she says We still get our short morning and evening walks, sometimes short since she says our plants are thirsty.

Yesterday a guy came out of the park and yelled at our human for taking a picture of his new car. She told him he was parked by where someone had dumped a couch a couple of nights ago after our late night walk. He said he lived on 4th street and would call police. They were there a couple of days ago ticketing guys drinking in the park, which is against the law, though taking pictures of cars without Arlington stickers isn't, though she didn't tell him that, just kept on walking til Frost stopped to poop, and picked it up.

Gotta go now. Wags,

Tara

Hi LingLing & Tara!!! Wag Wag Wag!!! Lick Lick Sniff Sniff!!

Yep I'm a lone Poodle again. Mommy's got a call from that nasty old landlady who told her only one doggie not two. sniff, if you want to know the truth I was glad cause I am the NORTH ALABAMA PRINCESS!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!

It's been hot down here too Tara. It hasn't rained very much though. We did have some bad storms. I just snuggled in to Mommy and we went back to sleep when that loud thunder woke us up.

I had some yummy bites of strawberries yesterday as a little treat! slurp! And then this morning, Mommy let me have two bites of a juicy nectarine! oh yeah it was good too. Of course I get my treats after I do my numbers outside. Oh and I had a couple of small bites of Mommy's deli turkey she had on a sandwich today.

Well it's nappy time! Glad you got in touch with us LingLing and told us about the wifi thingy. We will be saying Poodle prayers for ya'll and everyone else too!!!

Love,
April

Hi April and Tarra,I thought That it might be About time For me to check in. Mommy is still having computer issues, Her Wifi adapter Is Shot. And she will not be able To buy one Until next month. Mommy saysThat she hates to Post Via Her phone. It wrights WordsAnd phrases That's she Does not Even say.And sometimes It will write Extra words. And When she Has to type them Manually With the stylis That is so tedious. So I just Don't get to talk to my friends As often As I would like .But it won't be long now Until mommy gets a new adapter and I can talk to my friends all I want.

April, it sounds like You have become Quite the traveling pup. How is the new arrival? Don't eat her now that she is home either. LOL!

Hi, April. Sounds like you're a traveling pup too. And a solo pup again, which is OK of course. Right now, Elvis is visiting, so he's not a solo pup during his vacation. He and Frost are rassling a bit, and each trying to grab a spot next to our human. Plus, she doesn't want any of us on her lap when she's driving, so its fun to watch the action from dad's lap, or the back seat if I feel hot. Anyway, it's been hot here, and seems to rain every day, which isn't much fun. Plus I got itchies and my human says I'm making a hotspot and might have to have a bath or visit the vet or even wear the nasty ecollar, none of which are fun.

Maybe a little more nappie will help,

Wags,

Tara.

Hi Tara! Wag Wag Wag!!!

sorry I've been so late in answering but we went on a little trip of our own. Mommy and I went down to see the new baby and the other Grandys were there too. Mommy cooked Chicken & Dumplings, which meant I got some good Chickie Lickie! It was nummy to my tummy!!!

There were two other dogs there. one of them was a big boxer girl named porche and she was really nice to me. Maybe because she is an older dog. then of course there were some bark puppies every time Mommy took me out to sniff around. I barked back too!

Well it's really late so I'm going to nappy's house!

Love,
April

Hi, April. Hope you're having a great Independence Day. It's sticky hot here.

Anyway, this hasn't been a horrible 4th of July. Maybe telling my human about your grandbaby helped. We were in Chicago last week, and the heat wasn't bad, tho my human kept us inside while she did lots of weed whacking, which is noisy and pretty boring anyway. As we got there, we had a walk in the city, where we had admirers of course. We were dancing and Frost was doing a little pullpuppy and barking cuz he was happy. Then my human said that very same block was where the Indians danced before they left Chicago, and lots of other people came and built the city.

The next day we went to a place sort of like Shirlington, but usually with very few dogs. This time, we met other pups, which was kinda neat. Maybe it was cuz the humans had a concert thing. Anyhow, Frost barked at a white dog as my human found a parking space, but we never got to meet her. The first dog we actually met was called Oliver, and his human said he was both bichon and poodle, which I thought was neat. Plus, he had manners, tho Frost didn't, and barked at him both as we approached and even after Oliver and I had a polite sniff. After my human reminded Frost about his Maryland Manners, we met another poodle, named Blackjack. Even Frost agreed he was nice, and behaved.

When we drove back, we stopped at a park in Ohio that was called Fort St. Clair. My human said the gravestones there were about the start of the same war that ended with the dance that began Chicago. That was all a really long time ago, and the fort really wasn't a fort anymore, but an area with a fence. Frost thought the grass was nice, and kept rolling. My human took another candid shot, which Frost didn't mind, cuz he said he was getting the smell of other toughies on his fur. Whatever. I thought the best part of the drive back was licks of the birthday cake shake my human got and shared with us. And the storm in West Virginia really wasn't scary, though my human stopped at the rest area and napped while we kept watch.

So today we're home, and we had a nice walk around Shirlington. Our neighbor next door rang at dinnertime and brought a plate from their picnic, which we didn't get to nibble cuz my human had already made dinner for all of us. I was a little worried when they asked if we minded setting off fireworks in the street, and my human said the sparklers were fine, but they we would be scared if there were big boomers. Well, I wasn't scared at all, though me and Frost cuddled with our human while she watched the big National Independence celebration on TV. I thought of you when the band Alabama started playing, and Frost got up and wanted to boogie and rassle with out human. Then, she took a break to wash dishes, I moved away from the speaker to a better spot to keep track of both our humans. When she and Frost came back, Frost stood in front of the speaker to show how tough he was. I was more impressed by him letting her comb his fur, and fuss with his matsies. He said he got chickie as a reward for both of us.

Well, that's all the news I have. I still want to hear about little Faith, like if she is keeping you company while your human is at the hospital or caring for the grandbaby.

Wags, to all my pup pals.

Tara.

Hey Ya'll!!! Wag Wag Wag!!

Wellll the baby finally came out! I wanted to see it come out but Mommy said they don't let Poodles watch! What? That's just crazy! It was like I would eat it!!!

Anyway, I did get to meet him and he sniffs really good! Mommy said all babies smell like that. Then later, I knew he had Poopie but they didn't. Mommy's nose isn't as good as mine and I knew immediately, so I looked at Mommy and sniffed and then I looked at Mommy and sniffed. Geez! She finally got the message! whew! he had lots of it!

Anyway, it is very hot here up to 99 and more and I stay in the ac as much as possible. I don't like that heat. Mommy is going to take me for my summer cut and I may feel better, but not likely in the sun!

Everyone have a nice 4th of July!!!

Love,
April emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Happy first day of summer to all poodles and their people! It's really hot here. My human's car had a flat tire, so we walked home from church at 9 a.m. instead of checking out the dog park before picking dad up. It was hot. I was so glad for the A/C in our other car.

Its Father's day and dad celebrated by giving us treats! Then we had to stay home in the A/C while our human got the tire fixed. I didn't mind much, but Frost waited by the window. When our human came home and said we could walk over to pick up the other car, Frost was so happy. I went along too, then took care to stay in the shade and to do my business within the first block. Then Frost did his, and I hinted to our human that it was time to go back home into the A/C. OK, I can do the pullpuppy as well as Frost, plus I have a really slick hangback mode. So she got the hint and turned around and dropped us off. She then picked up the car herself, came back for us and Dad, and we went to Petco and into the A/C. Even the ferrets realized it was hot and chilled out. Then dad gave us some more treats after having his dinner.

Only problem was hearing my human talk to another human with a shaved tsu. I think we might be getting some more trimsies soon.

Wags,

Tara.
