Well, we take April every where we go, but the problem is we don't go much! LOL
I just typed in "Pet friendly hotels" and whatever city we were going to. We went to Orange Beach, Alabama and several other places, but not really out of state. One thing, I hate to travel for long hours in the car. And being in Decatur, Alabama, we are at the top of the state so even going to Pensacola, Florida is a huge undertaking. I do like to go to Nashville, TN, but that is usually a day trip. I have never left April at a boarder or anything like that. I think she would grieve herself to death if I did that. I have left her a few times with my daughter that has 5 kids, so her little feet probably never touch the ground! That place in MA sounds marvelous!

That's great that you were able to find a place when traveling with your pet. Sometimes it is very hard to find.
We made a road trip for a few weeks from, California to Texas, with a few days stop in Tucson with our miniature poodle. The best source that we found for a dog friendly hotels and motels reference was this link. We were very pleased with the places that we found along the way. http://www.dogfriendly.com/server/travel /guides/us/us.shtml

On the line of my other question. This one has to do with taking our friends with us. Where are some good vacation areas that are dog friendly that you have experienced? We re always looking for new ideas.
We had a wonderful time in Provincetown, MA last October. We stayed at a wonderful inn a block from the shopping area. She was allowed in the dining area where they served breakfast. They had a bed, food dishes and treats for her in the room. They even watched after Maggie when we went whale watching. The one cruise would have allowed her to come but we weren't sure she'd be up to it.
And the shops downtown are quite dog friendly. We even took her to dinner with us! If you eat at one of the outdoor cafés, well behaved dogs are welcome. They even get their own water dish.
So I'd love to hear about others' expereinces.
Bright Blessings Sue
