Now that I'm on SP we're going to get back into the habit of taking the 'moose' (Chloe, our 4 yr old standard) out for evening walks. We typically leave Nina (the toy) home since she does enough running in circles and through the house to get all the exercise she needs.
Otherwise though our poodles seem to think they're princesses and only tend to step foot outside to go potty. As we speak they are both sacked out from a long day of ummmmm yeah...they're just sacked out! LOL

On the days I haven't had much time for exercise we got out and walk our perimeter. We have 13 acres so each round is about a mile. My Jingle Belle loves it as do her non-poodle brother Benny (Jack Russel) and sister Sophie (lab). We usually do two laps. She also gets me outside to toss her Frisbee. She's pretty good at laying on the guilt if we don't do something every day.
I ride my stationary bike morning and evenings. I dont know if you could say they "help" me, but they patiently wait the whole time watching me until I'm done. I guess you could say they keep me company.

I've got three and so I don't take them with me when I exercise outdoors. They don't do well when all three are walked together. If I take Raider with me, which I've done on occasion, then the other two whine and cry the whole time I'm gone. He's the best one on the leash. Snickers is also okay on a leash, but she's so small she has a tendency to wear out during my long walks, so I don't take her. Buffy just flat out hates the leash!!! We used to have a miniature--Bonnie, that went everywhere with us...in the car, on walks, on the boat, and she was great, but with the three, it's just too much to handle on exercise walks. We do good going to Denver with the three of them and when we have to stop for pottie breaks it's a chore!!!
