Actually the picture of the dog on the couch is Opey, our old dog that died. He chewed up and swallowed a foam plastic bear toy thingy and it blocked his bowels. It was so horrible. He spent his last night at the vets house while the vet tortured him. (he didn't really but I'm sure opey thought he was being tortured and wondering why I left him there.) I wish I hadn't. The vet called me in the morning and told me he was going to be fine. We went and got him and he died about an hour later in my arms. I need to get pictures of Ripley on my page. He is a toy poodle too but is a champagne color and he is bigger than Bob.

wow! oh I know I am late answering this but have been covered up at work. I have been lurking some at night.

God is good to our fur babies. Glad about Chloe. So glad about bob. Man he really look like my apricot teacup in the picture of him asleep on the couch.

There isn't a dog of Ripley. what kind of dog is he? he needs to be on the animal planet as one of those miracle dogs!

WOW...God is just so good isn't He??? That's pretty amazing, really that Chloe is on her way home and also that Bob is okay! Yeah, dogs are so smart! So sorry to hear about your friend's little yorkie. I understand all too well. When Bonnie got hit and killed I was just beside myself with sorrow. My doggie children are just so important to me...just like my human children! Will be gone for the weekend, we're heading to Denver for a preseason football game. Y'all take care and will talk to y'all when we get back!

Glad to hear the happy endings. Losing a dog is so truamatic.

I have to take care of myself first, to be able to take care of the people I love.

I started Sparkpeople on 5/9/08 at 205 lbs. My ticker shows my start weight as 209 which was my highest weight in late April.

Glad to hear Chloe was found. Happy to hear Bob is okay, too. Hope that family finds there Yorkie. Nothing worse than losing a four legged family member!

I came home the other night from work and and usually both my dogs come running to greet me. Well only Ripley was there and tiny 4 pound Bob was no where to be seen. I got a sick feeling. I looked all through the house and he was no where. I looked at Ripley and asked him where Bob was and he took off running to the back yard through the doggie door. So I went out and Ripley led me right to him. He was way behind the house and his collar had gotten stuck on a wire. He was so glad to see me, and Ripley so proud that he could show me where Bob was. Dogs are so amazing. A friend of mine had company for the 4th of July and someone somehow let her little yorkie out of the yard. They have never found her and she is so heart broken. Just the thought of not knowing is so hard.

Chloe is on her way home from her big adventure, I am happy to report. She allowed someone to approach her last night, and they recognized her from the posters that were plastering the town! They took her to the Humane Society, who contacted her family at 2 a.m. this morning. I am crying and laughing at the same time. Miracles do happen--too often lost dogs are not reunited with their families!

Oh how awful! When we lost Snickers I cried and cried and got blisters on the bottom of my feet when I went out looking for her. Thankfully tho she had her collar on. I just can't tell you what a terrible feeling it is to lose a part of your family! We got her back, my prayers are with these folks. Unfortunately some people will keep such a beautiful dog and without a collar I don't know how she'll find her way home, but God is bigger than any circumstance and I know prayer works, so I'll just have to PRAY, PRAY, PRAY she gets back to her rightful family.

People who own a young Standard Poodle from our breeder are frantically looking for her. They took her to a baseball game in Niagara Ontario on the weekend. When the crowd cheered loudly at a home run, she got scared, wiggled out of her collar, and ran off. They have been searching for several days now, and no luck. The dog is a female Apricot coloured poodle named Chloe. She is only 10 months old. She is microchipped but of course has no collar on. She is quite light in colour, with apricot colouring on her ears. Her body is shaved, and just her head, tail, and feet have longer fur. I don't know if anyone in the group is from that area, but if you are please keep an eye out for her. Everyone else, please send Chloe calming thoughts, and pray for her safe return.
