This weekend could have been much better. But I have realised that my portions are getting smaller as I become more mindful of eating. I am looking forward to next weekend and what it will bring much rest and relaxation.

This was my best weekend ever. Exceeded all my SP fitness & food goals & got 99% of to-do list done, booked the England vacation with my sisters & made an ultra-healthy, ultra-delicious 4-course meal for them (that will last me into the week) & felt fabulous spiritually & physically and financially. My house is clean! I got 8 hours sleep each night!

OK so I didn't go to bed on time, but it was a reasonable balance, all 8, some Sunday rest, and I was able to get up easily on Monday for work. The capper: Monday's weigh-in gave me a 5.5 lb loss! Woo-hoo!

This was my SP WST goal for the weekend:
this weekend I plan to:
1. Maintain a normal sleep schedule, and not stay up late (and therefore sleep late) "because I can"...it just messes up my sleep/mornings for the whole week and I've got to cut that out
2. make a to-do list that includes cleaning, organizing, exercising, eating perfectly healthy meals, healthy relaxation & accomplishing steps towards life goals, and check off items each day so that at least 90% are done

We should consider every day lost in which we have not danced at least once.

Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.

My weekend was awful, I was in tears.
Start Friday morn when I weight myself Thinking this will be great? Wrong I gained 6.5 lbs Have now idea where that came from ,Worked 5 days a/week, Meal planed, Stayed on track for my meals even Less then what I should be eating. Cals., went over on two meals. I was so angry I refuse to record on my ladybug meter. Friday night eat so much I was sick. Just was not a good weekend.
But this morn I,m reading Sparks and did walking for 2 miles, cardio exercise, and muscle toning. I just can't take another gain. I've been at this for 2 months and not seen much results.I'm going to the Sparks Meal plan instead of my own. I hope that will help. I'm in desperate need of some help.

I did pretty well this weekend. I didn't ever eat at the restaurant where I work (my toughest challenge for weekends!). I'm down 1 and a half pounds from last week! Woo hoo!

Good job tracking your calories every day! At least you know where you spent them. Love your quote, by the way. It reminds me of a dude I went to high school with, who I used to have a BIG crush on. He is going to be a missionary in Chile and I always think of him wanting me to do well and being proud of me and happy for me. Usually that takes away the urge to overeat. Good job with the working out!

I've come too far to give up now.

Though I did exercise both Saturday & Sunday, I ate a lot too. Saturday I went over my calorie goal by about 30, but Sunday was 200 calories over! I will have to do better next weekend! Atleast I am aware, & can't just estimate, & not really be accountable . Guess that's why I have been stuck at this weight for the last few months.

I never got around to planning my weekend before it approached. I did however get up Sat. morning and planned my meals for the day, and did pretty good, also did bootcamp video. BUT then came Sunday, with no plan and feeling lost, by Sunday night I caved and ate what I shouldn't have and drank what I shouldn't have. UGH! If anything, I've learned something here, I NEED TO PLAN. I think this week I'll get to planning for the weekend early.

I exercised a lot, but I ate a lot too.

What to do, what to do! Do I just have to plan what I am going to eat? I always find an excuse to eat more, especially on the weekends. Help!

Hi Everyone
I had a great weekend thanks to SP and this group. I tracked all food and exercise and really planned ahead - everything was within my goal ranges! I am going skiing for 5 days on Wednesday and I am really determined to keep tracking while away. I have always used weekends, vacations and parties as an excuse to let go of my healthy behaviors! My challenge is to keep tracking and do 10 minutes of exercise every day. I'll bring some healthy snacks and a healthy recipe to have the first night we arrive. I'll let you know how it goes!

I did good last week with the no chip pretzel thing in the house - my sons friends came over Saturday night & I got rid of the chips, problem solved.
My challange this week is to lower my calorie intake just a little - and every day give myself a little me time. emoticon

Okay - so my weigh in today was very disappointing - I know why, It happens to be the worst day of the month to track my weight. But now I have even more resolve to move the scale.
I am going to challenge myself this weekend.
Start with planning all the meals ahead of time so there are no surprises.
Make a pledge to have only one beer this weekend.
Work out Saturday Morning and Sunday PM
Ask my husband and boys to join me when I walk the dog - The weather is going to be warmer - 3 KM a day
I will let you know how it goes on Monday.

mixed results -- friday ate pretty good and saturday as well -- keep it healthy and light. sunday was kind of not good went to amy ruth's, had potato salad, collard greens, some koolaid, and salmon croquettes, later in the day, i made some healthy potato fries and that was it. today; meant to eat breakfast but didn't. drank some tea, water (3 glasses so far), ate a small order of curry chicken (with rice, and plantains). not sure if i gained over the weekend but when i weighed myself on sunday, it looks like i kept to the pds i saw on friday. we'll see when i get home later today. right now i'm eating my own trail mix: prunes, raisins, banana chips, peanuts, cranberries and almonds. wishing everyone a great week ahead.

This past week I did my weights for about 1 hr. for 3 days.
Alternated between triceps & chest. Did cardio 2-3 times this week & went swimming.
Ate within my recommended calories (on the low end) but 5-6 small meals per day.

A little late in the week to post but ... I had a so-so weekend last weekend. Still trying to cut down on the alcohol consumption because they're empty calories BUT I didn't eat any chips! Chips are the heaviest burden that I carry. Especially Dill Pickle! emoticon I'm hoping to do a little better this weekend.

Regarding exercise ... I'm on track with both strength training and cardio. Rock on!

I did cardio Sat. and Sun. at the gym: rowing machine, walking intervals on the treadmill, stair-stepper, and stationary bike. I wanted to do more but did not make time for it. I'll keep challenging myself to do more.

Friday I went shopping so got a lot of walking in but Fiday evening, I went to Texas Roadhouse and ate part of a Cactus Blossom, shared with my daughter-in-law and her mom. Saturday I worked out with my Wii for over an hour. Sunday I went for an hour and 15 minute walk up and down hills. My butt hurts (LOL). Today I played 3 games of tennis on the Wii. I lost.

Weather is awfull. Dusted off the treadmill for Friday and Saturday. Fell short of my cardio goal on Friday, though I did my strength training. Saturday I met my cardio goal, and the weekend challenge. I pulled out the stability ball and video. I'm hoping for better weather on Sunday.

Since I can't just DIET HARDER, I'll work toward a fit and healthy life.

I have a hard time surviving the weekends, so I begin coming to work on saturdays, where it's easier to keep track of my food. I just found out my husband is a terrible influence to me - he makes me eat more and drink, just because he can (and he believes I can do the same amount of food/calories as a man who has almost twice my size can)

I can has tofuburger?

Halloween candy and partying were not part of my weekend, so no problems there. But I restricted my eating each day in an effort to get back on the straight and narrow. I ended up snacking at night to make up for my daytime "deprivation." Still a work in progress.

Oh dear...I may never be able to make it through a weekend successfully. Luckily I'm very 'good' during the week so the end result is always okay. It's all about snacking on weekend evenings. I can't seem to get around that.

Nothing tastes as good as thin feels!

ALDANA sets the challenges every Thursday. The challenge is found in in the "Weekly challenges issued here!" sticky topic. One thread for the challenge, and a second thread for the results. Good luck!

So, who sets the challenges? I would like to be here and keep myself accountable as the weekends are the hardest for me to keep track of.
I did horrible this last weekend and I need encouragement and support to keep myself in check.

I think I did very well this weekend. We wound up going out with friends to a church meal of roast pork and all the fixings and desert. I did not have desert, as bad as I wanted it, that was one of my personal challenges, to not have any desert so I didn't. I also exercised for at least 45 minutes each day. My scale says I lost but the official weigh in is tomorrow evening so we'll see.

God is my rock and my salvation.

My results were mixed. I weighed myself Monday morning and I was up half a pound from Friday. However, I stuck to my plan and feel pretty good about the weekend. I believe when I officially weigh in on Friday, this weekend will have had a positive effect on my progress.

I drank 8 cups of water two of the three days, I got some exercise all three days, and I tracked my food intake two of the three days even though I went over my suggested calories one day. I'm feeling pretty good that I was able to do some of each of all of my goals.

Well... I set my goals to just track my food and workout twice... things went a little crazy and this did not happen. I did do a lot of housework and yard work today, so that is something. Hopefully I can do better next weekend.

Since there isnt a specific challenge this week, I am challenging myself to workout twice and track my food. I think that is a step in the right direction for me.

I had a great start to Weekend Survival. I made a meal plan and a fitness plan and stuck to both. I strayed from my fitness plan and may have overdone the cycling this weekend. Makes me glad to be back to my daily walks. Looking forward to next weekend.

I did pretty well this weekend. Friday we stayed home and I had a Cheeseburger and baked fries then 1/2 of a cinamon roll. Saturday was a breakfast meeting and I watched my protions closely. Got home too late for lunch so I just grabed an apple to tied me over til supper. We went out to eat but I ordered off the senior menu (I am not a senior but wanted to eat right). Sunday I had cereal with a banana then for lunch Sunday evening is popcorn then I had a few pretzels. Today I am off work so I am catching up on my Wii exercises and housework.

God is my rock and my salvation.

I did ok. Friday was good - Saturday was fine, Sunday was bad since I had a fight with the bf on Sat night. I only got a few hours sleep, so I ate a lot for energy, and then I didn't workout due to my lack of energy (makes sense, huh?). Here's to next weekend...
