I loved seeing those photo's Jennifer of ur balcony. The flowers looked terrific. I can't seem to grow flowers like that. Bushes n trees I have no problem but a nice colourful display like u have I just can't ever achieve. You must have a very good green thumb. Looks lovely.

I'm not too bad. I was upset tonight, though. But, it's also what I'm thankful for. My mom took my sister-in-law Brenda for her first ultrasound and they were less than an inch away from being caught in the tail end of an accident. Some guy in a truck towing a trailer hit a little silver car and lost control. He dragged the car down the shoulder past my mom's van and then slid across the highway in front of her, hit the guardrail and slid BACK in front of her a second time! I am so thankful that she saw what was happening in her rearview mirror and was able to slow down enough that the trailer passed the van with about an eighth of an inch margin!

Good for you Jen. I had a stressful day. I'm cross-training one of my clerks to help cover for me when I'm out (it will take three of the four to do it!). At lunchtime I realized I had left my book at home, so I drove home to get it (thankfully only 2 miles). But when I went outside I saw a guy in a car acting very suspiciously. Thankfully I was able to get a good description of him as well as his car and even his license plate number, and I turned it into one to the two people in charge of security. I'm proud that I was able to get all that info. And despite the stress I did not turn to food! Instead I walked for 4.25 miles. When I came home I also rode the exercise bike for 7.5 miles. And despite the fact that it's been raining and the water was FREEZING I drove to my brother Steve's and did my pool routine. My nephew did it with me and now I have to give him a copy of the routine so he can do it when I'm not around.

Sorry to hear about your sister's troubles. I'm sure it was difficult for her, because she must love him (or at least she must have at some point), plus the worry about the children. I hope it all works out for her. It's good that the two of you get along now so you can support her through this. My baby brother is now married to a wonderful woman (I met her first and introduced them hoping it would be a match)...but his first wife cheated on him 3 weeks into the marriage. And then continued to do it for 5 years. We're not even sure how many times. The last time was with my other brother's best friend...and that's just the tip of that story!

I always wanted a sister. My mom had 6 miscarriages. She nearly lost me. No problems at all with either of the boys. (Both younger than me.) One of her friends had a bunch of miscarriages also...all boys. He doctor told her some women can't carry boys and some can't carry girls. I asked my mom's doc when she had her hysterectomy if that was true and the doc said yeah, probably all 6 of mom's misses were girls like me! Darn it all! But now that we're all adults, my brothers and I get along great.

Hunger can be driven by a lot of things like stress adn salt/ sugar Dr Phil actually calls those last two hunger drivers.The only thing I can think about regarding feeling full other than actually being full is that as we lose weight our stomach will start to shrink and we will lose our endurance for monster binges

I don't know what was wrong with me that day! The next day I felt stuffed all day and didn't even eat my low range of calories. I was about 50 calories short. I haven't felt that hungry since. My mom recommended that if I was feeling that hungry something was going on with my body and it needed extra fuel. Must have been true, because even though I ate 700 more calories for the day, I still lost weight overnight and have been dropping all week (about a pound a day).

I forgot to post here yesterday! Yesterday I participated in our Relay-for-Life. My niece and I joined our group from the bank for the opening ceremony and then I did 3 more laps around the track. Yesterday was a good day.

Today I have been feeling like I'm starving all day long. I just can't seem to feel satisfied. The kids and I went for a walk. I have a nice easy 1.5 mile route that I knew the 4 year old could handle. Unfortunately just before we got to the "turn around point" she took a dive into the pavement and scraped the skin off both knees and her hands. So Aunt Shari carried her the 3/4 mile trip back! -- After I asked one of the neighbors for some tissues to clean her up a bit.

I was on my own for dinner tonight and didn't really want to cook...so I got some spicy chicken wings...not a very healthy choice. But I fit it into my calories and microwaved some veggies to go with it, so I guess it wasn't toooooo bad.

I munched on too many greasy junk foods today while travelling. Travelling has nearly always been my downfall, so now, I have a another bad habit to kick.

My good thing is still eating healthy but didnt record my efforts with the tracker which i know leads to problems when i dont

Great topic!! I'm getting over the stomach flu so mine's not the usual thing...

My "A" for the day is getting in 30 minutes on the treadmill

My "F" for the day (odd as this sounds, coming from me!!) is that hitting my minimum calorie range seems unlikely at this point. (What a change in thinking from the old me, who would've thought that was a GOOD thing!!)

I'm blessed to have a friend who owns several chinese restaurants...he will custom make all my food. Instead of frying, he'll steam and he's substitute anything I ask. The only thing we argue about is that he's always trying to give me extra food and I have to keep reminding him I'm trying to lose weight.

Yeah after you eat responsibly for awhile then all fast food can make you sick, it does me, especially chinese in my case

Today was a very good day. I stayed within my calories, drank all my water and got 30 minutes of cardio (which is what was scheduled).

I guess my bad thing is I only got 30 minutes of cardio...I wanted to go for a second walk, but I fell asleep during the NASCAR race and only woke up in time to see Jeff Gordon win (YEAH!) and then fell back asleep.

and about the KFC...I can't really claim any great will power. It's pretty easy to avoid b/c fast food makes me very ill (the grease)...but I do love KFC and that's one of the exceptions for which I'm willing to get sick.

I commend you for going a whole year without KFC I consider myself successful if I can stay away fast food 13 days out of 14. I allow myself something special on payday only that way I dont feel deprived. My one good thing is finally feeling like I have my eating under control. Still need to get the exercise levels up

My good thing is that I went to a graduation party and did NOT taste everything there. My bad thing is that I gave in and after a year....I ate a piece of KFC! I was only going to have a drumstick, but the kids got served first and the smallest piece left was a thigh! Oh, well, extra exercise tomorrow (make that today it's 1 am)

My good thing and bad thing are the same. I work in a bank across the street from a chocolatier. Bad news!!! They just closed for the summer and brought their unsold chocolates over for us. I had 1 1-inch coconut egg! BUT I only had one and I walked away!

Well,I ate one big ice cream and after that I made Cindi Crawford's A New Dimension exercises-68 minutes.Now is 6 p.m.After an haur I'm going to walk with my dogs for 60-70 minutes.I'd wish to avoid any others sweets this day...

I did well today in NOT buying a chocolate eclair after I had MacDonalds for lunch. I the past I would have had both & then gone to buy a bag of lollies. WOO HOO.... victory to me!!!!

My success for the day is that I did both cardio and Strength Training. The bad thing is that they were both shorter than I was shooting for.

yep.... you have had a great idea here.

Well I went for a walk with the dogs.... I only had a coffee (with no sugar) & 2 small banana muffins for breakfast. AND I found a website that gives me a virtual image of my current body shape as well as my goal body shape. I have downloaded both images & I am currently trying to merge them into 1 image side by side.

I dont know about all of you ladies but I feel that I have lost my focus a little with the weightloss and we dont talk about it much in our socializing.So I would like you to thing about focusing just a little on our real reason for being here on sparks. List one thing that you did today that aided your goal to lose weight and one thing that needs improvement

For example: Today I didnt do any in between snacking with normally contributes to added weight gain so that is my positive thing for the day. I on the other hand need to work on portion control.Portions are still a little to large
