yeah........ I have found the same thing too.

I think the main reason is that we are eating so much healthier in general.

Hey, remember this thread? I just wanted to say I have noticed a HUGE difference in the appearance of my skin and hair now that I am eating better. I am also very consistant with my vitamins and I take salmon oil everyday, so I am not sure what is making the biggest difference or if its a combination of all of it but I'm not complaining!

I've been using baby oil gel on my elbows...really makes them soft, and is much cheaper than fancier lotions. The gel formula is easier to work with than the full-on oil version, too. :o)

yep... plenty of water has the added benefit of keeping our skin clear as well as keeping the rest of systems clear.

As I can't eat fish, I get my Omega3 from Flax seeds. I try to have a serve 2 or 3 times a week.

Thanks Maria, maybe I will do that. I do like oil of olay products too Sharyn. I have also heard that driking alot of water is good for the skin and eating foods high in Omega 3 fatty acids. I feel better physically too if I am eating alot of fish, avacado, or nuts. I just have to make sure I watch the total calories of course!

Hi Nicole,

I finally got onto sparks. As to night creams.... no I don't use them but I would use Olay if I did because I can trust them. As to hand lotions... I pretty lucky there because I don't have a problem with allergies much in that area. BUT I use a basic Sorbelene with added vitiamin E lotion.

I don't use a night cream, just the moisturiser in the mornings after I shower.

I also moisturiser my arms & legs because they get so exposed to the summer sun.

Great thread!!

I'm blessed to have nice nails...I usually wear them at a medium-length (not talons but not short, either). I don't wear nail polish...seems like I rarely have time to put the stuff on and then I don't have time to take it off (you know, when it gets all flaky and stuff? lol)

I'll have to think about other beauty tips...

I have trouble finding products that suit my skin too because of allergies but I am very lucky to be able to the Olay line because it is not as expensive as the others.

Hey Maria, I like the Nivea Lip Care too. I can't afford spa massages but I certainly give myself a facial massage each week.

I use Olay Complete for my daily facial moisturiser because it has UV defence with an SPF of 15. And we need htat here in Australia.... the weather is very drying on the skin.

Thank you Sharyn, what a great idea. We are all here to become healthy and fit and I think that when your feeling good about yourself it is an easier task. I will have to think about it weather or not I have any tips to share, but probably we all have more to offer eachother than we realize. So when I think of something I will let you know.
To answer you question about nails, I like mine short and functional however I do wear acrylics. The only reason I do that is because without them I have a nasty habit of picking at them and my fingers till they bleed. I have tried to stop but the only thing that has helped is acrylic nails. I have them done very short but I do like the way they look. Sometimes I have colored polish and other times I just have a french manicure.
I am the same way about the lipstick Sharyn. Although I wear colored lipgloss. I like the way it blends and it looks more natural on me. Without lipcolor I have people asking me if I feel well.

Morning everyone,

It's not about impressing anyone but boosting your own image for you. It's not about makeup either but general beauty care.... like moisturising your skin to keep it looking & feeling soft in order to reduce the aging process. It's about hair care. All sorts of things.

It's about nail care... should we keep our nalis short or let them grow.

BUT more importantly....... it's about YOU!!!!! It is just another way to help us feel good about ourselves without the concern of how others see us. Just how we see ourselves.

I was putting on my facial moisturiser this morning, I realized how easy it had been for me to forget to do this sometimes. And thought... wow! Despite moisturising my face since I was a teenager it still slips past me... often. There was a time that I felt, what was the point? That was when the self-esteem was at it's lowest of lows.

It is important that we maintain our daily beauty care because it helps us to maintain our self-esteem. I don't paint my nails all the time but if I am going shopping, I will at least put on lipstick.

Even without makeup, there must be so many great beauty tips out there that could be shared by you lovely ladies.... so come on... lets hear them!!!
