Yeah... me too Nicole. I do know though, that as I have been taking my supliment, as you have been, that my intake has been sufficient. So I am goning to start agian as of this Sunday's count.

Include both but maybe separate them somehow so you can see what you do for food and what you do for you extreme intake of Calcium. You know what your extra intake is i would think

ie food total + medical requirement = total

Morning All.

Nicole I am including the supplements that I am taking, so why not include yours. I think it is best that way you get a clear picture of what you intake is. Mind you if your supplements are like what I was taking temporarily when I had thyroid surgery, then you will be getting oodles (more then plenty).

Hey, I have a severe calcium Deficiency due to thyroid cancer when I was a teenager. Should I just track my food that has calcium, or everything? I take about 12 calcium suppliments a day and for most people that would be a severe overdose. Maybe I will just track food. What do you think?

1 cup Salad 1.5%
3 cups Rice 12.3%
1/2 cup ice cream 7.4%
2 cups strawberries 4.3%
1 tangerine 1.4 %
2 cups pasta 2%
1 multivitamin 16%


Nutrition Tracker Total: 49 mg


Now for this challenge I recommend you use the nutrition tracker as it will do all the hard work for you,all you have to do is add Calcium to your nutrition goals to track and that is done by clicking on change diet goals and just leaving all the same until you reach the part where it gives you the option of adding other nutrients to track.Total is at bottom of tracker. If you just want to post the few foods you know are calcium rich that is fine to. I included some of the percents on mine this time so that you can see that calcium is in other foods. I am not keeping totals. Persoally I want to see how close to the 1000mg recommended daily dosage I come

This will be good for me since I am on a carb trip and need to really focus on fruits and vegetables again. I like tha calcium challenge too because I advoid dairy unless it's cheese. I also realize broccoli - yum :) - has calcium so I'll add that to my grocery list for next week.

Yes we are still tracking fruit and veg until Saturday and then unless we get a better contender we will track Calcuim after that. PS you can set the nutrition tracker to count mg of calcium for you

Calcium sounds good. I will have to keep up with my veggies and pay more attention to calcium at once and I bet the weight will come flying off! Lol!

At a girl keep munching challenge will change on Sunday, will also bring stats up to date, next challenge will be calcium unless some one has a compelling argument for another one,it is the only suggestion so far

Dorothy, I am so sorry that I didn't come back before you went to bed. I am thinking about you and praying for you, (just like all of you!)

BTW, watch out because even though your daughter is only 2, it is so freaky how fast that time goes. Enjoy every moment! I look at pictures of my kids at 2 and feel like it was last week! Its a trip!
