emoticon Snow, hope the migraine is better! I'd be in more than a funk if it was me, like maybe hanging out in a dark closet somewhere hugging a pillow....

I got in a sesh with my trainer today, we started early, so I didn't get much stepmill time, so the whole thing was less than an hour. But I did the stairs when I got home, trying to keep my fitbit happy!

Mary, my sister is already signed up for the half, so she's doing it for sure! I'm still thinking about it. I have been running about 3 days a week lately, and ramping up the distance gradually, in case I decide to actually do it!

KB- Its our poor Snow who is in a funk...poor girl...migraine and such.

Biking home for lunch...great! Home made food always better for you!

My PT went well...Yay...back on track I think going forward.

Snow...any better yet??? Hugs my friend. Hope it's not a full migraine. Poor you. We'll keep the lights in the hot tub off...just the little take lights you strung. More hugs.

Ladybug- Thank you so much! I am moving on...my emotions are much better today. I can set about my work. All this support is a team effort.

Sorry you are in a funk Snow.....I accidentally slept through my alarm this morning! emoticon No morning run, instead an extra four mile bike ride since forgot to pack lunch! Lucky for me have enough of a break between class, easily biked home. emoticon Making small chicken salad for dinner and spending the evening studying.

I got outside for a bit yesterday but nothing really considered exercise. I did do some moving around the house with chores, though! I'm looking forward to my lunch walk here in a bit. It's overcast today, so it should be nice.

No energy last week but no appetite either...trying to snap myself out of the funk but once again I went back to bed after getting son to bus stop...haven't jogged since I did the half on the 18th but tomorrow I'm going to try to get back on the Tues/Thurs/Sat jogging schedule I did while I was training...2 1/2 hours of slow paddling yesterday and a 30 minute walk with little Harry emoticon

Am I allowed to count my weekly Monday weigh in on Friday beginning this week? The reason I ask is because right now i'm weighing myself Friday and Monday because for Medifast I weigh in Monday mornings and it's really "messing with me" to have to be on the scale that often. Please let me know if this would be approved for the goals.

My recollection is you have to get back to where you were last week or below that,Snow. I went up last week, so that was my "forgiveness" week, and then didn't go back down this week, so I'm out.

My scale was much more kind this morning! Headed back in the right direction! emoticon And I got to the gym last night for a 40 minute session, including a kettlebell workout!

AAAAANnnnnnnddddddd, I'm out! emoticon as I expected, Same weight this week as last week, 135.1, and over my starting weight by .6 pounds. Oh well. I'll still post my workout hours just to stay motivated!

Jogged to work, and walk/jogged home yesterday for some 80+ minutes of activity. Today I hit the gym to do some kettlebells on my own! emoticon

Well I'm still "in" (whew!) first had to "re-lose" the 3 pounds I "regained" at last weekend's family reunion, and this morning I can count one "new pound" lost (so "technically, I'm down 4 pounds from last week, LOL, but I'm only going to "count" the 1 "new" pound if that makes any sense???... Hee hee, how my mind works sometimes is REALLY scary!)

Wood...I'm in the same boat! Last weekend's family get together definitely "did in" my calorie & diet goals! Have tried to be really "strict" the rest of this week but will be holding my breath when I get on the scale tomorrow for the official weigh in (oh wait, maybe I better not hold my breath, that extra air might add some ounces to my weight, LOL)

Just got back from a short snowy hike... Wow, I always forget how much harder it is to walk in snow than just on "bare trails" (that's my "excuse" for how tired I am after today's walk, ... Can't actually be that I'm more out of shape than I want to admit, can it? LOL)

emoticon 3.28 miles. I didn't pick a very good place to run as there were too many cars & funny other smells. Quite an unpleasant experience really although at the very end I just decided to be grateful. I purposefully looked around me to see the beauty in just what was (at that moment). It's amazing how that changed my perspective.

My scale has not budged really since last week, so I"m guessing I'll be out on Friday, but you never know! At least I'm getting in the workouts, training on Monday, jogged in on Tues and hiked home, Pilates early this morning....and I'll jog in again tomorrow.

Hobbes, you are ON IT! Way to go!

Jenna, congrats on losing that half-pound! Weight can be so stubborn! I'm sorry about the dress stuff, though. You'll find one eventually that just PERFECT.

So I logged an hour of walking, but it was mostly during housing inspections this morning. 2.5 hours of going through rooms. And then I got in a half hour on my lunch break. My legs are still incredibly sore from my race on Sunday. I took an Epson salt bath last night that SIGNIFICANTLY improved my mobility, but my quads and calves are still trying to spasm on me every now and then. My massage therapist wants to do some dry needling on my calf this evening. I told him it might need some massage first, but he's the expert so I'll wait and see what he says. Dry needling gives me SUCH anxiety, but it's effective, so I'm prepared to suck it up this once.

Trying to be REALLY REALLY REALLY strict about what I eat today through Thursday so hopefully Friday's weigh in will not go the wrong way after all the eating I did this weekend with our big family get together (was a fun weekend, but the "good eating habits" went right out the window, LOL)

YES :) I'm so excited, but this dress shopping is wearing me down :( Every time I find a dress I like we can't get it in my size and I don't want to order blindly....praying about this a lot....ready to wear jeans lol :)

Awww I totally forgot to post last Friday....Had a flight to catch and a crazy busy weekend shopping for wedding dresses.... :)

Knocked off a few more miles today 8.49 so far total for this week. Beginning to have some more stamina, even my iPhone GPS app actually told me that I was running again (as apposed to walking). I ran on the bridge over the Willamette River this evening (it's grown wide and wild since all of the rain) it was exillerating!

Hope the day brought you something to fill your senses.

Packed a cooler and my Jeep, have some awesome trails outside a town going to make a day of it! Two trails picked out for a total of 20 miles, will see if can do it. emoticon

emoticon is not being friendly! Ran my "half" on Saturday and my weight is now 2 pounds over last Friday...I did eat well so I could have a good recovery & that worked - no soreness! But I didn't eat an extra 7000 calories! Only thing I can figure is that my body is worried that I'm going to ask it to jog 13 miles again so it's flipped the switch to conservation mode just in case...holding on to all the water it can and storing every calorie it can...

Oh well...all I can do is eat whole foods and cut back the calories, avoid most grains 'cuz they tend to bloat me, drink lots of water, sneak in much exercise as I can and hope for the best!

Watching the game right now too Maui, hmmmmm - Im making dog food, but cake or brownies sounds like a great thing to do.... makes the house smell soooooo yummy! I just wont eat any! I want to see the scale move this week, but I am also going to have a celebrating type weekend here... so challenges are ahead emoticon emoticon

I am heading outside for a while, need to water and do some weeding (for whatever its worth)

Snow- I too stay in mostly...sad sad sad. I have not done early morning walks but once on that couple days the air was better. In 3 weeks...only once! My Advair is starting to work. Thanks for the good thoughts. Great to hear you are sleeping better. whew...hubby too!

I got in about an hour of walk/jogging yesterday, it was cloudy, but nice to be out. We've decided to go running today! Hope I can keep up reasonably well, as my pace has been slow of late!

Still hoping for some snow to give the ski area a fresh coat! It just doesn't look too promising here lately, although miraculously they are still open!

Snow, glad you are getting some sleep! It sure does make a body feel better!

emoticon The scale didn't move one way or the other this week.... so I guess that's a good thing emoticon Sorry I was so busy to post on Friday, worked 11 hours today also... after my gym classes of course in the morning...

Maui - Im so sorry to hear that Asthma thing has struck you down again this year! I really have decided (even on days that I may have posted I was going to hike) that when I checked out the air quality, I stayed in for days at a time, refusing to go out and do much of anything outdoors.... Your early morning walks were maybe not so good? I hope you feel better soon, and I pray our air gets better soon!

Kay- don't worry about that .5 gain- water retention maybe.... I bet you do great this week!

Too busy to get in here yesterday, and I'm taking my "free pass" as well, up a little over .5, I think, 135.1 whereas last 2 weeks I think I was at 134.4? Anyway I'm tightening up my game, food-wise! (at least I did last night!). Exercise is good, so it's the food that's pushing me in the wrong direction!

Great job for those that went right!

We can do it, for those that are taking the pass this week! emoticon

***edit*** I had to go back 3 pages to find my starting weight! It was 134.5....so I'll be getting back there (or lower) by next Friday!

Not as much down the scale as last week~lost two pounds. I could have been more active today, instead a mile walk around the block. It's a three day weekend gives me plenty of time to be active over the weekend.

Like I said yesterday, I'm sitting this week. 3/5 days active, but still 5 hours of activity, so I guess I'm not totally sitting - more like squatting, lol. I have a couple Spartans this weekend which will throw my minutes through the roof (probably 6 hours of activity just tomorrow and Sunday), so I think next week I'll still do my lunch walks, but count stretch time instead of office exercises.

I like to splurge sometimes on treats. Sucker emoticon with a sweet tooth! I spent the day unplugged, away from the computer and phone. I only have on class on Thrs and Fridays free. 4 mile bike to and from school and later leisure few miles with the family, my little brother likes to race so might have to join you on deck in the hot tub!

Think tomorrow will hit the gym in the morning and swim in the afternoon.....

Oof. Looks like a rough week for a few of us! I'm not going to get 5 days in. I'm running on 3 hours of sleep and need to crash out in my car on my lunch break. I'll still get out there and move tomorrow when I'm better rested, but I'll only have 4 days this week. A plus, though, is that I spent a good 30 minutes with the foam roller last night and my legs are pretty much not sore at all now! I'll pick it back up next week.

I skipped the gym this morning, now Im regretting it a bit, but at the time I decided more sleep was more important. I could NOT sleep at all last night, lots on my mind, couldn't turn it off, AND DH was snoring most of the night and nothing made him stop! Ill be glad when the part he ordered on the CPAP comes... its time to get that puppy on him at night! Anyway...now Im awake, my body had plenty of rest but my first words were "for a nickel I'd kill ya1" He says "a nickel?!" and I said 'price just went down...a penny!" then we laughed, I went and put my hands on some frozen chicken in the deep freeze and went in the kitchen where he was, quickly lifted his shirt and placed frozen hands on his back.... getting even! Boy did he yelp! Totally worth it emoticon
So... next Im thinking a hike and some gardening will be nice on my day off....then tonight we have a new Zumba instructor and she is really great! She was behind me in class last night and we were crazy shimmying some moves, some original steps that got our teacher just shakin' her head! Ill follow it with a spin class if I still have energy, then run home and Im making a tri tip roast tonight for the family.

Still overcast and chilly... I think Ill mozey over to the deck and soak up some warmth in the hot tub first. Have a great day, oh and Kay... I know what you mean about enjoying lifes moments and fun even tho it feels detrimental to the long term goals.... I am not sure how this weeks weigh in will be for me either.....***SNOW***

Thanks everybody for the welcome! Have to say I love this group...your energy and activity is inspiring. Especially as I sit here at work, kind of bored and just want to snack. You all make me want to get up now and get outside!! Hope everyone is having a great day emoticon

I'm not working it this week, but that's the way it goes sometimes! We were invited to the neighbors the other night for a glass of wine (or 3!) emoticon and ended up indulging in lots of bread and cheese as well.... emoticon and then my new employee invited me to join him and our coworker for lunch, so I figured it would be a good bonding lunch....but that bowl of pho was giant! Tasty, but huge (and probably full of sodium!) So my scale is moving in the wrong direction, but I can't say I have any regrets, as I really enjoyed both "events"!

So I'll just continue to get in my workouts, and see what happens next week!

It's great to see all the new folks joining, and the activity on this team!
