They work for me (although I don't feel like I need the plumping), but like mentioned, it just stings and that causes the plumping. Lip Venom had a strong cinnamon scent and feeling to it and although I wouldn't say it's painful or anything, the feeling is definitely pretty strong! I can't imagine kissing anyone while wearing this stuff lol. I think I actually kissed my husband much later in the day after trying it and he still felt it, even though I thought it had worn off. I personally prefer to just use a pretty gloss. The trick of applying a lighter, shimmery color in the middle of your lips helps them appear plumper.
All lip "plumpers" do is provide a mild irritant to your lips so blood rushes to the surface temporarily making them appear slightly larger. SOOO not worth it! You could rub some cayenne on your lips and get the same effect...just don't lick them after. lol.

I've tried Lip Venom, but it was too cinnamony for me. I use BE's Buxom. My lips are definitely more hydrated. They seem fuller to me, but that may be because they are so moisturized. I am also addicted to the tingly, minty feel/taste.

I keep considering ordering "Lip Venom" or one of the similar things that promise to puff up your pout a bit. Do they work enough to make a diff? Are they really glossy/glass looking or can you mat them down?
