Hello everyone! I just arrived in 130-ville this morning, it was a most pleasant surprise! I thought I'd be in and out of 140-ville in no time, but it ended up being my home for almost 6 months. I never really backslid, I just was very on again, off again in my workouts, bouncing around within a 2-3 lb range. I am hoping to be able to leave town by the end of January - wish me luck!

Hi everyone. I am back here again :-). Long story short, I sabbotaged my weight loss and crept back up the scale this summer. Was in the 120's until April then went to a high of 141.8 last Wednesday. I decided I wasn't going to do the All-or-nothing weight loss diets anymore. I have to live my life free from the all consuming issue of weight. So, I just kept going up in weight as I prayed about what to do that would be "normal" and feel like freedom and still lose back to my healthier weight. In the meantime, my DH sat me down and told me that he didn't like me so thin (in the 124-127 range). He said he prefers me to have some curves and he really didn't like it that I had loss all my booty. so, he asked me please not to lose down so low again. I am going to be watching my "curves" and stop losing when the tape measure shows my hips at 37.5-38". I have found a plan of eating that makes me feel normal and it fits all my lifestyle needs and desires. I love to go out with our friends to eat from time to time and I also love to fast and pray often. So I am doing the Weigh Down Diet now and loving it. I get to eat whatever I want without feeling deprived but at the same time, I never eat unless my stomach physically growls for food and I stop immediately when I am satisfied (not full). Since Wednesday, I have lost 4 pounds and was 137.8 this morning. Since I love Michael Thurmond's approach to healthy eating, I generally like to choose low or not fat and low or no sodium and sugar. However, I am no longer living under an "I can't have that" mindset. It seems the more rules and laws I put myself under, the worse I feel about myself and the more I "fail" at trying to "eat right". Taking the "I can't" off the table has freed up my life and my thoughts. I have way more time now to think about other things and I feel lighter mentally, as well as physically. Doing the Michael Dye Genesis Process Change Workbook (www.genesisprocess.org) helped me identify that over eating is just a symptom of my real problem, which tends to be anxiety over facing conflict resolutions and all or nothing / black and white thinking. I am learning how to face my fears and step into conflict resolution and my brain is happy as it registers, "Hey, that wasn't painful at all! I believe I can do that again!" this keeps me from using food to push back my fears, because I am facing them head-on. The workbook helps you identify those fears and coping behaviors. Just thought I would share with you what's going on. Glad to be back!

Studies show that losing weight is more about what you eat than how much you exercise. Track religiously and focus on keeping within your calorie range.

Morning guys emoticon Just joined her the other day so I'm stopping by here to drop off another lb - yay. Would like to drop to 135 by Nov 5th for my little brother coming home from the oil rigs. Weighed in at 127.2 this morning. Been hovering between 129 and 126 for the past 5 months. I re-started my Michael Thurmond 6 Week Body Makeover on Sunday and have dropped 2 pounds so far. I stopped the weight loss phase since November and have been doing the Living Lean Maintenance Phase of the plan since then. Now it is time to re-start the weight loss phase and get moving to goal. I know you all will get to your goals. We just have to get our mind set to do it. Any plan will generally work in our favor, if we work our plan consistently. That is what I plan to do for the next 6 weeks! Hugs to all of you! LA

Moved in to this team at 135.6, and this morning I am at 131!! emoticon

That's 4.6 pounds I am glad to leave here - please hide it from me because it keeps sneaking back on my body. I want it gone for good!

Not changing my ticker till I break into the 120s - it seems to jinx me!! Just when I lower it I end up having to increase it again. NOT THIS TIME!! Good riddance!!

I just dumped a package of strawberry licorice and some chocolate turtles (after I ate about 500 calories.

Sometimes it is okay to eat a lot at once, if only to remind myself that it is not that fulfilling in the long run--later I will have a slight belly ache to remind me of what NOT to do in the future.

I survived eating EIGHT cookies this last week and still somehow managed to lose a pound. Why did I eat them? I had not had lunch, and came back from jogging to find the smell of hot cookies permeating the whole house because my kids had just baked them... Those stupid cookies ambushed me.

Not that I recommend cookies as a diet food, but sometimes a slip-up won't set you back as far as you thought it would.

unfortunately, I ate five sugar cookies that I took home with me last night! Yuck.

Regardless, I am still counting calories, and my plan is to take one bite out of the four cookies I have left and immediately dump into the garbage! (The first bite tastes the best anyway.) And try to imagine myself fitting into some size 8 pants. Hmm. Maybe I will put them on now and THEN try to eat the cookies. Or I will wait until after my yoga this evening. That makes me mellow so resisting is easier.

Cathy - awesome job resisting that cookie! I struggle with that too, when people at work bring snacks.. initially I resist, but a lot of times I give in. I need to just RESIST!

I dumped two pounds too. (I hope I don't gain them back!).

I was able to resist eating a second sugar cookie, though I did eat a small brownie as well, at the cookie party at work! Five minutes later the urge passed. Yeah!

I am dumping the crusts off my bread sandwich to make it from 3 oz to 2 ounces. Every little bit helps!

I try to follow the 1500 calorie diet, hopefully I will stop jumping in and out of 130 ville and stay here!

no weight, just dumping clutter from my house: I'm filling my 95 gallon recycle bin every 2 weeks

This team has some wicked funny forums - I have to remind myself that I want to leave 130. I'm assuming former 130's are still welcome. I love the party on the floors (as long as I'm partying DOWN not up!)
