An old trick I learned years ago from Nutri System for a sweet tooth or needing a chocolate fix was take a waffle (low fat or whole grain) mix a little cocoa with sugarfree syrup and it will make a chocolate glaze, spread that over your waffle and you will feel like you have a chocolate pop tart or pastry...I think it was syrup ??? I will check it out again

Snacks! I love snacks! Okay...of course there are the good old fruits and veggies but here are some for the cravings: Salty/Crunchy - light or 100 cal popcorn, whole wheat tortillas cut up into wedges spray with pam and bake then eat with salsa (yum), pickle spears wrapped in ham (sugar free bread and butter especially), Triscuits with laughing cow cheese spread. Chocolate/Sweet: 1 tsp of natural peanut butter warmed and 1 sugar free fudge popsicle bar softened and pulled off stick and mixed together then 1 big spoon of cool whip free folded in. Make it all in one bowl! Oh my good! Fat free sugar free pudding with a topping of whipped cream or you can warm them in the microwave if you need some comfort food (take off the lid). Low fat ricotta cheese mixed with splenda and cinnamon then spread on whole wheat bread and toast or just on some whole wheat crackers. Heck this is good on anything. Slice up an apple into a bowl, then sprinkle with splenda and cinnamon and microwave it. Hmmmm warmth and great smell. These are a few. Hope they help.

I eat Edamame beans.... They are good hot or cold so they are great to take along with you anywhere. I also live on grapes. Cant go wrong with them.

I like to take an apple and spread some peanut butter on it... not sure how good it is for you but it's filling, plus you get a serving of fruit and a little added protein!

Lately, I love dried fruit. I heard about a brand called "fruitabu" from the message boards and bought them over the weekend. The twirls are sooo good and fun to eat too. They're like fruit rollups but much better. (fruitabu.com)
I also like almond accents slivered almonds, chocolate chip fiber 1 bars, clementines and apple slices)
BTW, I am somewhat new to this team. Looking forward to getting to know all of you! Have a great day! :)

I buy those 100cal snack packs (which can get pricey though).
Some baby carrots in a ziplock bag.
Low fat pretzels (for when I crave salty)
I agree with the pickles one (my fav)
Another thing I do, especially around that time of the month is I dip the ends of fresh strawberry's in dark chocolate & leave them in a container in my fridge at work.
Also, if you have access to a fridge try string cheese, yogurts or those individual packs of cottage cheese.

i count out nuts or triscuits to either a serving or a half serving and bring them in ziploc bags.
also, i love the fiber one chewy bars. there are so many different granola bars and stuff out there, just try to find a low cal one!
when i make salad at night, i try to cut up a few extra veggies, and into ziplocs those go too! light and fit yogurt is also a good snack.
you could also try those weight control oatmeal packets maybe?
also the low cal laughing cow cheese wedges, with some celery, very yummy!
pickles are always good, very low cal and i love the taste!
instead of just a piece of fruit, i try to cut up a few different types and mix them together. those are good snacks, i'm just usually too lazy to do it!
oh, i think they also have 100 calorie microwave popcorn snacks, and they also have the oreo and different cookie snacks.
good luck!

I like to take lunch meat spread a very thin layer of cream cheese on it put a thinny sliced tomato and some sprouts - it is yummy.
A high protein yogurt is good.
I also just found Thomas mini wheat begals - they are good and very filling.
Pack some frozen fruit in the morning and it will be still a bit frozen by lunch time - feels like a dessert because it is icey - I just found frozen pineapple chunks - yum!

Hey guys! So I was wondering if anyone had any snack suggestions...When I'm at work I don't eat lunch...well I eat lunch but I spread it out because I get hungry and then by the time I get home I am wanting to chew my arm off...but lately I am running out of good filling snack ideas...any suggestions?
