HI girls....I've been a victim of some weird internet junk. I had to remember all my passwords. UGH I ought to write this stuff down. Lots of days it says I don't have internet. Funny how my monthly bill doesn't seem to correlate to that info.LOL Its like everything changed! I am not really much of a change type of gal these old ages. hehe In my earlier stage of life I never did anything the same twice so I couldn't really change anything that was so chaotic. My how we change!
Daisy I was wondering how you all are adjusting, Sounds like WELL inspite of the cruddies. NOT fair to get sick post partum. Great attitude! God is good!! I pumped with my 2. Neither one latched. I was determined to give them breast milk one way or another. It wasn't all that bad once I found the right pump! emoticon
Janet I had to chuckle to myself over Isaac. I must be so hard to make sense of it all when he is suffering something he may not fully be able to comprehend, and honestly I can't either. But the chuckle part was over how my kids say 'well, just send us off to jail'....or 'do want us to go live somewhere else now'. Like they would rather do that than clean up their toys!! YIKES. lol
Christina. I am an 'asker' too and actually get quite disturbed over the 'we are already so far out on the limb' mentality. When I think of the hoops I have jumped through for patients over the years just to clean their teeth (not complaining, because I love to please them) I wonder how hard is it to just do these things to make a kids life one tiny-einie wee bit better if possible!! I had to ASK our administrator to say HI to my son each day....he acted like it was going to cost me extra $$ or something. Then makes an issue out of Chaz not talking to him without 1st being addressed. Really, he is 6!! I'm glad he actually says HI back to the adult!! Now liv will be different, I will be getting calls from him wondering how to shut her up! lol
Doro happy spag dinner. we had that tonight too, but I made it with Chaz's trout he caught this am. quite proud of himself! It actually was good, the smidgen I had of it. Not exactly a full meal!! haha I threw in some fish sticks and popcorn shrimp too emoticon

Dorothy that is terrible! How scary for his friends and family! 2 weeks is a long time to not be found. Funny I didn't even realize we were still in march chat!

I think I have aggravated M's special ed teacher with my emails about him playing spring football. He replied with a long letter pointing out all the "special arrangements" that have already been set up for him to succeed. UGH I know they have bent over backwards for the kid but as his mom I have to keep grasping at every straw! I know there is still hope! I responded saying how much I appreciate all the teachers and all the extra grace they have extended even if Matthew doesn't! LOL I plan on persistently showing kindness and appreciation all the while pushing for them to help at every angle I can find! I really do appreciate them!!! It is so hard to help a kid that is rude and belligerent! I know he doesn't mean it he just has to get to a healthier mental place!

I am having some great success with my April eating plan! For the first time in months I am actually not worrying/thinking about what I will eat! I love having a plan that is easy!

Just realised we are still in March Chat - kik - I am not slow or anything! Wish I could say quiet weekend. Boy scouts are having a spaghetti dinner today so I am going to help prep at 9. Micahel has to be there at 5!5 to help serve and i will go back and help with clean up. Tomorrow is a Jamboree meeting. On a sad not there is a Scout leader/Pastor that has been missing for two weeks. Know one has any idea where he is. There have been several search parties and nothing. So strange.

Christina and Janet - so sorry about your attitude. Kind of funny - I can see the teenage starting to come out in Micahel. Guess I will just buckle myself in for the ride - lol!

Christina~Great surprise!! That abandonment issue is a tough one. Isaac even has feelings that I will give him away because his B-mom did.

At counseling and hoping Travis can figure out what has Isaac wound so tightly today. Once hone I need to get the strawberries and pineapple ready for dinner. Still have another little job I would like to get done too but may have to wait fir tomorrow.

Tomorrow....gym, pick up basket and then nothing until noon which is Isaac's quiz party. Playgroup will be over about 4. Will be ready for a quiet Sunday.

Boys and their attitudes! Janet I feel your pain! :) M had a rough night last night. He is dealing with feelings of abandonment from bio parents. It is so hard there is nothing I can do to take that away!

I had a surprise visit from my NY kids! they showed up mid day Thursday!

Life is just full of the unexpected!

Dorothy~Come on over! Glad the court date went well. Sorry to hear about his grandmother passing.

Having a rough morning as Isaac has chosen an attitude today. Ugh! I am going to the gym after lunch and then I'll take Isaac to his counseling at 3. I've got a couple small tasks I want to get accomplished before Sandy's family arrives around 5.

Janet - that sounds yummy - I think I will be by too. LOL I threw some steaks in the crock pot for dinner tonight - am thinking of making stroganoff. And I have asparagus - can't wait.

Christina - sorry for the struggles - guess that is what life is all about but does not make it any easier.

Hubbys court went well - they waived it and we have to go back the 25th. He is suppose to plead not guilty and they will put him in a driving course. It should all go away unless he gets in trouble again. We found out that his grandmother passes away yesterday. They are going to have a memeorial on Memorial Day weekend.

Dorothy~At least you had fun bowling regardless of the outcome! LOL I'm with Christina...how did court go?

Heather~Paris! Lucky! But then again, you have tromped around in country I'll only see on documentaries and movies. Enjoy!

Christina~Hopefully you and the spec ed teacher can figure something out. It's tough trying to navigate this stuff!

Almost finished with school and then we'll get lunch accomplished. I hope to get a few small tasks done that are nagging me before taking Isaac to his group speech thereapy. Planning to get a couple errands done while he's there as Walmart and D&B are nearby.

Tomorrow will be an at-home day again other than his counseling at 3:30. Also have a family from co-op coming for an early dinner so the girls can play with the baby goats. The girls are in my music class so that will be fun. Planning to keep it simple... bbq steaks, strawberries and pineapple and they are bringing a salad.

Dorothy sorry about that bowling:( How did court go for your hubby?

Heather WOW! Paris! this is coming from a rural KY girl. Paris is not even on my radar! LOL

Janet Wednesdays are my busiest day too. The update on M: it is day to day. He is trying to make changes but it is going slow. It seems there are constant setbacks. The latest is last month We decided not to let him run on the track team, his behaviors were just to erratic. Now that he has settled down a bit ( not threatening to run away...) It is time for spring football and his grades are not high enough! I am going to email the special ed teacher today and see if there is anything Matthew and I can do. He really needs some positive activity in his life!

Time to get Ben ready for school.

Heather~Your time with the Sri Lankan family sounds like it was a good time. I never realized eggplant was in the potato family until I served it a couple months ago and my potato sensitive ones got sick from it. Whoops! Maegann joined the mission team a couple years ago as an ambassador to the children's department. Seems funny now since she isn't even in the children's department. She attends their monthly planning meetings and helps where she can when they are doing things for children. School backpacks that go overseas, crisis care kits, mission fair... She came away a little discouraged with it tonight though as she is afraid they are trying to make it too big a deal by putting people up front in church every week instead of once a month. Not sure if there was some misinterpretation or not.

Survived the crazy Wednesday that is now the new normal for that day each week. Added another therapy into the mix... 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday's. This is physical therapy for Isaac and I agreed to the evaluation and then will see what they think he needs if anything. Tomorrow we're home other than Isaac's 3:15 group therapy.

Doro - Enjoy your last night of emoticon fun. Our weather continues to be weird too. Hopefully you can get those emoticon clubs out by the end of the month. It was always harder for me to go to work after so many days off. Hope it wasn't too shocking.

Nick informed us yesterday that we have 69 days until we fly. He has 41 school days left. The other two have 46 because he is going on a trip to Paris with his French class next week so those days don't count :)

Janet - enjoy Bible Study. What kinds of things does Maegann do at her missions meeting?

Daisy - glad you are hanging in there with the right attitude of taking one day at a time. Thankful that God has kept Gen from all the illness and that she's able to nurse with the shield. What a blessing!

Judy - emoticon on a successful day of tracking and exercise - the first day of a new streak :)

Christina - emoticon

We visited a Sri Lankan family from our previous church today. Our kids enjoy spending time with theirs. She had made 3 different kinds of curries, rice, and a salad. She fried some chicken and potatoes for Gretchen and cake. It's 5 hours later and I'm still full. Every time I turned around they were putting more on our plates. My favorite curry was an eggplant curry. Oh, so good. The kids go back to school tomorrow. I have to wash the dog and cook his food tomorrow. Tomorrow night is a meeting about Nick's trip to France. Looks like a busy day.

Dorothy~Enjoy the last night of bowling. You would have been on the course several times by now if you lived here!

Christina~How are things going with the kiddo?

Gym and school are complete and now the kids are running around like screaming banchees! The whole neighborhood can probably hear them! Think we'll go to Subway for lunch and then we head out about 1:30 for Isaac's OT and Maegann's piano. Glad she doesn't have counseling today. Gives us an extra hour home before the afternoon hits. Will have about an hour home before needing to get Maegann to her mission meeting and then my bible study begins right after that. Figure I'll just throw chili together as that is simple.

Dorothy Happy bowling! It's funny how we look forward to the season beginning, but then we are just as happy to have the open window in our schedules when it ends! I hope all goes well in court.

Daisy So glad your all healing. I can barely remember the first few months of bringing Ben home. Our house was insane back then! LOL like it's not now emoticon

I enjoy a full schedule. I go a little stir crazy when I have too much down time.

Judy~Good job with the calories and exercise!

Daisy~Nice for one night without medication. Hope the baby continues to do better with the sleeping as well. That’s amazing to have lost 25 pounds already! Whoo Hoo!

Dorothy~I don’t think they have the Baskets in your area. Mostly western states from what I’ve seen online.

Pediatrician visit went fine and Maegann survived her shots (2 of them). Got a little bit of school done with the kids once home. After lunch I chose to skip the gym and cut up fruits and veggies because I was completely out of room in the frig and was tired of pulling everything out just to get to something else. Couldn’t believe it took over 2 hours! I now have celery and fresh rosemary in the dehydrator.

Tomorrow… gym, school, Isaac’s OT at 1:45 (M’s counseling is cancelled this week.) and Maegann’s piano at 3:30. A quick dinner and then off to take Maegann to the missions meeting and then my bible study is after that.

Hello all!
Tonight was the first night that I didn't require extra medication to sleep,
praise God! Marjie is also better during the day and sleeping with less coughing.
Roy's done with his medicine while Marjie and I are still on ours. We now are waiting for
the baby to begin sleeping through the night to restore our sanity. What a wonderful
time to be married to a night owl who can take the first shift. And through it all-baby has not caught anything even with Marjie holding/hacking on her. God is good.
There have been times where I felt like the T on this trial was more than I could bear but God has proven Himself the healer and Faithful 1 through it all. Also, my healing this time borders on miraculous in terms of speed, mobility and shrinking of my tummy. With my little plastic shield, Gen is nursing like a champ and gaining weight. Marjie continues to adjust and find her place as the big sister. We take 1 day at a time and hold on to Him through it all. One last praise-I've lost 25 pounds since delivery. Holy shrinkage Batman!

Thanks, everyone. Had a pretty good day today with my rekindled goals. I stayed within calorie range and did some exercise! We took Chase for a quick walk after dinner and I also did day 1 of the 30 Day Shred! emoticon

Makes me feel better to hear I am not the only one to dye brown eggs whether on accident or on purpose. And you are absolutely right that it really didn't matter in the end. It was just fun to dye the eggs together. emoticon

Enjoyed reading about everyone's Easter, support of family in challenging situations and that we are all in this together! emoticon

Judy~I remember having army green and khaki eggs one year as the kids thought it was great fun to dip the eggs in each color. LOL I’ve had to stop and put myself first too where exercise is concerned. You can do it!

Janine~Nice that you found OA to be helpful. Sorry your Easter had room for improvement. Glad the hubby supported you!

Heather~You should totally do the Bountiful Baskets once you’re in Oregon! The price is decent and the items are always so much better than I find in the stores. I still can’t imagine hunting eggs in the snow, but probably would if that’s where we lived!

Co-op went well, but I’m exhausted. Amazing how much more my attention is needed by people when there are extra things happening.

We are enjoying one more holiday day here in Germany. Good Friday and Easter Monday are official holidays. It means planning for shopping because stores are closed (also closed Sundays) but nice to recover after the Easter fun and services.

Janet - I looked to see if Bountiful Baskets is in our hometown in Oregon. It isn't but is in the larger town about 15 min drive away. I'm hoping to participate when we are there. Sounds like a great way to go for produce. Loved the pictures from the sunrise service. We had planned to do a small sunrise service with our family and a couple of friends but when we drove up to the beach to start the fire early we discovered that the road was still closed because of snow emoticon Should have planned a little better. Ended up just having it at our house and then breakfast together. I tried a breakfast casserole recipe from Spark and everyone loved it.

Christina - I also like the Cinderella closet pictures. Hope you enjoyed your busy house on Sunday.

Janine - glad you've found something more for support. emoticon

Judy glad the conference went well. I've also done the brown egg dying too. For us it's all about the fun of dying. This year we mostly dyed blown eggs. I know you can get the exercise going again.

Doro - glad you got to see the girls. I bet you were exhausted today.

Dh and I found two more eggs today that were left in the field where we hid them in the snow. The kids go back to school on Thursday so we have a few more low key days.

Went to my first OA meeting on Saturday and feel really relieved. I think this is where I belong along with Sparkpeople. Easter was less than stellar as I was kind of rushed and didn't appreciate a family member being upset about the way my child eats or lack there of because they made some HORRIBLE macaroni and cheese that was dry and expected my THREE year old daughter to rave over it. Anyway, I do have to say that I appreciated my husband's support at this dinner and throughout the day even though he went into emergency for his COPD flare up before the dinner at mom's house. It was quite an eventful day!

Can't believe Easter and this weekend are over! Time flew right by! The eggs came out some interesting colors - army green, etc. LOL! Told Alejo next time we hard boil some eggs we would color those with the leftover colors we have and he was good with that. Service was wonderful today and Alejo had a good time with the other children doing the egg hunt with them and then enjoyed another one on our court today with the neighbor kids. Back to school for him tomorrow but I think he had a good Spring Break.

Tomorrow is of course April 1st and it's no joke - pun intended! - that I get my rear in gear again. If I'm being honest I've been using valid things that need to happen as excuses and I just can't do that any more. Alejo and DH's needs are important to me but I've completely stopped exercising (sad, but true!) and hoped eating a fairly healthy diet would keep the weight from creeping on. No such luck. DH actually called me out the other day when he told me I had no more excuses because I have my gym membership and he just fixed our treadmill at home, I have several DVD's, etc. I know he is right and need to hop to it!

Judy~Too funny about using your brown eggs for the easter coloring. We mixed a few in last year and they did okay, but were definitely a different hue. Having worked in a bank processing loan apps…that’s a lot of contracts you put through in a couple of months! Glad the consultation for Alejo went well. So hard navigating this stuff at times!

Started the day volunteering at Bountiful Baskets and it was fun. Now that the weather is nice we put everything together in the parking lot which is lot easier than the small warehouse room inside the building. The fruits/veggies today were awesome. I'll put a photo in the blog as I brought home a lot of beautiful stuff today! Once done there I went to the grocery store and then came home to tackle the laundry, floors and bathrooms. I spent a solid 2 hours on the floors and bathrooms and then went to meet the rest of the family and my dad at McD's for lunch. That chicken salad tasted so good! This afternoon I worked on summer camp registration forms as they need turned in on Monday at church, but mostly the hubby and I processed about 15 pounds of potatoes. Shredded them (love that KitchenAid!), soaked them in salt water, drained them and wrung the moisture out by hand and then packed them into baggies for the sealer. Lots of baggies in the freezer for Isaac now. Getting ready to watch Lawrence Welk and then the kiddos will head to bed. We've got an early morning as we're going to the sunrise Easter service. The butte is about 45+ min. from home. Afterwards we will go to Shari's for breakfast and then come home to do our treasure hunt. Guess Tim will go pick up my dad in the afternoon so he can spend a couple hours with us.

Happy Resurrection Day!

Hello, lovely ladies!! Congrats on the new baby and prayers for all for any illness, situations, etc.

Just Sparking a bit while waiting for the eggs to cool off so Alejo and I can color them. Hoping it will still work out OK if I use the "bright" colors because blondie over here (LOL!) used our brown eggs instead of white. Ugh! That's what happens when I get distracted. Just have to make the best of it because I'm not about to boil another dozen eggs just to have them be white.

Glad the work week is over. I work as an escrow coordinator and we've received and processed almost 200 contract packages since February 1st! No wonder we are all going a little crazy and are mentally tired! Yesterday was month end, too. Thankful for the job and the benefits and pay though!

Had a very nice ladies study group this morning. I belong to a ladies only that meets every other Saturday morning and then I just started one every other Thursday night that is open to men and women. Right now the ladies group is reviewing various world religions which is very interesting. The idea is that as we better understand others world views it will help us as Christians to appreciate where they are coming from. The Thursday night group has begun a study of Matthew. It is a good mix for me to have a more "free form" group and one that is more focused on the books of the Bible.

The consultation for Alejo went well. We need to have his kindergarten teacher fill out her forms that are standard as well as a couple that are medication specific so we can create a game plan for him as well as provide more feedback to his doctor. Alejo has lost almost 10% of his body weight which is the trigger to change to something else because that is a lot of weight to lose. We do wonder though that if it has anything to do with his starting weight pre-meds being taken right after the holidays in mid January when we all tend to put a little extra "fluff" on. We go back in mid April to re-check his weight and will have the teacher forms by then.

Tomorrow is of course Easter so we will be going to church in the morning. Alejo and I anyway. DH is not there yet but thankfully Alejo is interested and excited to go. Not sure what the rest of the day will look like yet. Might have dinner just the 3 of us, might include some of DH's family.

Well, time to go see if the eggs are cooled off as someone over here is anxious to get started coloring them! And then someone else with four cute little paws needs to be fed, too. Happy Saturday, everyone! emoticon

Daisy~Sorry to hear you are fighting a cold now and that sleep is difficult. Hugs!

Dorothy~We enjoyed an Easter egg hunt today as well. I put photos in my blog.

Christina~My FB page was very private too. Glad you found me once I loosened up briefly! You can find Dorothy in my friends list! Loved the picture from Cinderella's Closet!

We had such a fun day at the easter party. Isaac made it for 2 1/2 hours before he was beginning to have trouble staying happy. Thankfully we were all ready to go about the same time so we just got packed up and left. There were still several activities left to go, but that's okay.

Tonight Jenn came over for supper, to decorate eggs and play games. She was tired too (works in a tax office) so we had an earlier night which means I can spark while we watch Columbo on Netflix.

Tomorrow morning I'm volunteering at Bountiful Baskets and then stopping at the grocery store. Nothing else on the calendar other than laundry so am hoping to get some done on my bible study for Wednesday. I should also be able to go to the gym.

Hello lovelies!
I'm back and on the other side of pregnancy.
Ack-I don't recommend a high fever as a way to start a delivery.
Spent 2 extra days in the hospital. May have to sell a limb to pay for the extra
days in hospital but they wouldn't do c-section while fever was so high as it was dangerous
for me with infection.
Anyhow, Genevieve is out and healthy. 7lbs, 13 oz, on March 20. Please pray I get over this head cold as napping/sleeping has been less than 5 hours nightly since we came home. Hard to keep a 3 year old entertained and everyone happy on that little of sleep.
Praising God she's out and beautful!

Christina~Nice that you figured out a trigger for the behaviors. That's been so tough with Isaac as nothing seems to be "big enough" to help. SO happy for you! Look me up on FB... Janet Bishop Heald.

Heather~I'll look you up on FB as well. What a praise on the storage! God's working! (Added note: I sent a friend request.)

Isaac had a major nosebleed last night right at bedtime. Took Tim about 30 min. to get it stopped and it went much quicker once we could get Isaac to calm down. He was just crying so hard as he was scared and chanting "I'm going to die." Poor thing. Thankfullly he fell right to sleep once it was stopped. Just hoping he takes it easy on the blowing today. Needless to say, I cancelled his attendance at speech group this afternoon.

We all slept in again and now we're almost through with schoolwork. I need to get dinner in the crockpot and make pancakes for the kids' lunch before I can head out to the gym. Tim is working at home today so that makes it easy for me to get away. Only other tasks I must do are get those eggs boiled and get the treasure hunt clues at least figured out.

Heather I friended you :) I'm not on FB much but I check it a few times a week. That is great news about the storage!

I have had several good days with Matthew. I am shouting praises over every victory! His special ed teacher did a test to help us understand what motivates him. It turns out he is motivated by material possessions. (poor kid! that is probably one of Gary and I's lowest!! We could care less about name brands and material things) I had taken every name brand piece of clothing from him about a month ago and bought him "walmart" uniform type clothes as a last resort in discipline. He had already lost all electronic, phone... So we came up with a reward system to allow him to earn some of his things back. IT IS WORKING! It is so nice to have a positive system in place! I have been stuck on the opposite side of taking away til there was nothing left to take away. and it wasn't effective.

Im off to exercise.

Good Evening All

Janet - sorry about the sniffles interrupting life. Hopefully it'll be a quick turn around with a healthy Easter. So funny, I have always loved fractions.

Doro - Have fun emoticon . Glad Mike is working his program so far.

Christina - I love a full house!

Hi Judy - praying for a good appt tonight and God's best solution for Alejo.

Well I've finally taken the plunge. After years of lurking and responding on Matt' facebook page I have finally created my own. If you are on facebook you can look for Heather Reigel.
The kids dyed eggs today when their friends were over. We still have the air mattress and furniture rearranged in the LR and the kids are sleeping there again. But they'll be going to sleep a lot earlier than yesterday.

First of many praises with moving. Through a friend we have found an office space to store our furniture and belongings while we are in the states. It will only be $75 per month as opposed to the $350 per month we paid last time. HUGE blessing!

Maybe we should change our name to LIL Therapy Moms! LOL

Will be praying for your session tonight regarding Alejo. It's tough getting the right things going.

Dorothy~That's a lot of therapy sessions for Mike but he does need it to really hit this stuff hard and strong! Glad he's going!

Cancelled Isaac's OT for the afternoon as he's just a mess with his cold today. Coughing and constantly blowing. Figured they didn't need that all over the equipment at rehab! I'm feeling bad enough just having him in the lobby waiting for Maegann to be done with her counseling. We should be home by 2:30 so I might just head out to the gym afterwards. Otherwise, in the morning which might be easier. If Isaac is still this bad tomorrow I'll cancel him for group speech which would mean NOTHING tomorrow on the calendar except boiling eggs for decorating. May have to cancel out on the Easter party Friday too if Maegann really is getting this cold as she'll be contagious.

School was not the most fun this morning, but we made it through. Maegann is struggling with getting all the fraction stuff in her brain and honestly I don't have it all in mine! I know them better now that I'm teaching her than I did from my school days. Love all the help sheets this curriculum offers!

Sounds like we are the therapy group = lol. Mikce is doing therapy once a week one on one and then group therapy 3 times a week plus AA meeting every day. I sure hope this all works. We will proabably start back to marriage couseling as well at some point. Getting ready to head out for surgery - we have to be there by 7.

Hi everyone - just a quick post for now. Will try and catch up on all I've missed soon. Been busy with our new puppy since Saturday and preparing for our consultation with a behaviorist for Alejo. Since January we and his teacher and his after school care have filled out the forms to turn back into the pediatrician and now the behaviorist. We will do what we have to of course but it is difficult trying to put Alejo "in a box". Thankfully these latest forms include some space for explanation. Our appointment is tonight (Wednesday) - prayers please? Really want to have us and the behaviorist really listen and hear one another to determine what is best for Alejo and be according to God's plan for him. emoticon

Heather~Too funny about Nick wanting those stitches on his arm instead. Boys! Make the “winter” Easter egg hunt more difficult…don’t die the eggs!

Dorothy~Glad you are making it to your spinning. Hope the surgery goes easily tomorrow.

Christina~You’re going to have quite the party on Sunday! Thankful for the Medicaid to pay the therapy bills even though it was a headache getting to this point!

Janine~I have not. Hugs!!!

I’ve had a good day at home once again. We all slept in until 8:15 and then I started laundry so that could be done before noon. We got through school easily and I sent them out to the barnyard to play until lunch. After lunch I headed to the gym. Only spent time on the treadmill and then tomorrow I can do more on the resistance. Once home I got the receipts and checking account updated and then checked email for awhile. I need to go get dinner on the table…just having leftovers.

Gearing up mentally for my two afternoons in the rehab lobby.

Heather it is snowing here! STILL!! but not sticking. Our Easter dinner just keeps getting bigger. I never really realized so many of our friends don't have family near. I think we are between 20-25 now for dinner and egg hunting. Gary and I went to the $ store this morning and bought some little prizes. It will be lots of fun!

The in-laws moving in will not be real fast. Gary will have to do some persuading with his mom. His sister is just not going to be able to manage her alone in the next few years. We have so many in and out of our house it's not really freaking me out.

Janet I'm looking for a new therapist for M. It is so expensive even with our insurance. the copays are $35 every time we see one. It adds up fast!

Christina - that is a huge and wonderful undertaking. I have always wanted to buy a differant house that would have space for either Mike's or my mom if ever needed. Sounds like your house will be a hopping for Easter - enjoy!

Janet - that is a lot of baby goats. Just think of all of the positive strides you have made in Issaacs life this year - I am sure it will all pay off in the long run.

Heather - we may be looking for eggs in snow too. Glad to hear Nick is doing well.

Made it to spinning yesterday and am planning on making it again today plus body blast. Tomorow Mike is having cataract surgery. Hope everyone has a good day.

Janet - Have fun with the baby goats. Wow, you sure have a lot to manage with Isaac. Praying you find just the right one for this job.

Christina - Nick said he wished it was on his arm so he could show it off. Moving family in would be pretty overwhelming for me. How far away do they live now?

Doro - glad you enjoyed the wine trip and a movie with your guys. Also glad for you that gym time is possible again.

Janine - emoticon for you.

Kelly - We might be hiding Easter eggs in the snow this year. I think it would be fun, Gretchen says it would be too easy.

Taking Nick to the dr. today to follow up on the ER visit on Saturday. They just want to look at it before Easter. I guess the stitches come out next week. Then two friends will be coming to spend the night. Will have to plan some calm activities so Nick doesn't get a pillow or stuffy on the head.

Janine~I’m throwing out the exercise excuse button today too!

Dorothy~I have wondered what the Oz movie was like so thanks for the report. Did it have some scary moments for sensitive kids? I think I’d quit making your mom do the “big” gatherings if she’s that tired from them. Hope you made it to the gym also!

Christina~I miss ham for Easter. Tim and Maegann just can’t handle pork. Nice that you are bringing in those that don’t have family around! Will be praying about the housing changes. That’s a big decision and commitment!

I’ve had a great day! Makes me really long for no co-op on Monday’s for awhile! Only four more weeks! I did start out at the gym and I set my alarm 15 minutes earlier so I can easily get 45-50 min. in before heading home. Once home I made a healthy breakfast and then got the kids through most of their schoolwork before friends from church came over to see the baby goats. (We’re up to 11 after last night.) Took the kids to Subway to see if Isaac was just extra hungry today as he’s been a bit off. Now his voice has lowered and a small cough is happening so I’m guessing he’s caught a small cold. I sure hope I don’t get it. Going to increase the Vitamin C and water intake! Then I got everything ready for Monday’s co-op and a list of what I need to get through our last presentation night. I also got some other small things done that required phone calls and am thankful as I’m tired of seeing them on my list to check off! I did get an ad at the Nazarene University to start interviewing people to work with Isaac. We’re calling it “Play with a purpose.” Another thing to find time for! Ugh!

I bought a ham for Easter. Invited a few from church who don't have local family. At our house there are do many a few extra dont make much difference!

Gary came in from work today talking about adding on to our house so his mom and sister can move in. We knew this was coming after his dad passed 2. Years ago it was discussed I'm glad they waited a while to let all the emotions settle. I'm just going to say THIS IS A BIG ONE!

Janine - way to go!

Janet - that is a lot of baby goats - I bet they are precious. I hope you make it to the gym today - I am going! Girl I work with is back - hooray!

Christina - it is truly a blessing if it brings you so much joy!

Kelly - glad to see you are still in life of living. There was a winery from Penn State at the festival but I was not fond of there wines.

I took my mom shopping yesterday for EAster and we had lunch and then I took her home - she parted with saying "this will probably be the last time I do this" I think I am ready for the "big" family gatherings to be over as it wears me out and I can enjoy my own family so much more doing it on our own. My mom says this every year and every year I prod her into doing it again but I think I am done! AFter I goat hom, Mike, Micahel, and I went and saw the movie Oz - I enjoyed it!

Last weeks defeat is a gateway to many victories.

Dorothy~Your day out for Wine on the Lake sounds wonderful! We have 3 sets of triplets as of this morning and we have two or three mamas to go. They are so cute!

Kelly~I’ve been doing some Easter buying myself. I finally settled on a Lego Star Wars book for Isaac and a Build-a-Bear coupon for Maegann. Now I need to write the treasure hunt clues!

Christina~It’s good hearing a more positive side to the whole youth group scene with what we’re going through right now. Thankful you receive such joy from them!

We all attended church this morning (two here and two there) and once home the kids headed out to the barnyard to play with baby goats. I managed to get an hour nap and do a few things on my "to do" list that were mostly printing and email before making spaghetti sauce. Everyone loved it so I'm glad I found a good one "from scratch" the first time around! It's almost 8 p.m. here and I'm finally sparking. Looking forward to watching Amazing Race tonight.

Tomorrow…. Nothing on the schedule except school with the kids! Spring Break from co-op! Whoo hoo! I do plan to go to the gym in the morning though.

Heather How terrible! Your friend must have felt terrible! I know I would have I hate when kids get hurt on my watch! I'm wondering if he is the type of boy that is PROUD of his stiches? several of my boys wear their scars as badges of honor LOL! I hope he heals quickly,

Janet cell phones and computers are so much trouble with young people!!! It's one of the biggest distractions in teaching youth.

Dorothy I hope this is a better week for you and you get in your gym time!

I just got in from church we had a night of prayer for our youth tonight. It was really powerful! they moved through 6 different prayer stations. ending in our small prayer chapel with lighting candles one for themselves and one for someone they are planning to spread their light too. I love my youth! They bring me such joy!!

Janet - emoticon it is such a hard age for her right now. I am so thankful that I had Micahels Karate instructor to talk to him when he was going through all of that - I am sure kids still say hateful and stupid things to him but he is better able to handle it now. 2 sets of triplets - wow - do you have your hands full! How many more are expecting??

Heather - I feel bad for both of the kids. Ouch! Stiches are now fun. But it could have been so much worse. I think you need some emoticon too.

My freind and I went to Wine on the Lake yesterday - I think it was just what I neeeded after such a stressful week. Good day with a good freind. Today I a taking y mom shopping at Sams and then going to try and get something done around here.

Dorothy~Those sort of things really can derail us and like you I should know better.

Heather~After I saw your feed about the stitches I came right here to see if you had told the story. He’s going to have a nice headache from that! Glad it wasn’t any worse.

I headed out for the gym about 6:45 and then went to get my fruits/veggies by 8. Next was groceries, laundry, library, office store, sweeping floors, hair trims and getting sweet potatoes in the oven for dinner. This day has just flown by!

While gone for hair trims Tim texted and said we had more baby goats. Another set of triplets.

Only “saga” going on here right now is about Maegann and texting. We’ve had to take the family emergency phone away from her for awhile as it was just getting to be too much. She was also misunderstood by her friend at church the other night and upset her quite badly. I’m not sure I’m ready for these teenage years that are coming fast!

Christina - sounds like you are working your way through decisions. emoticon on completing Day 3 of your personal challenge. emoticon

Daisy - emoticon on Genevieve's arrival. emoticon

Doro - Glad you've figured out what YOU need during this time. Still praying for your family. Sorry for the overly stressful week.

Janet - Sounded like a productive day at home. Fun for Maegann that she got to stay for the concert.

Today the kids went with our friends to go sledding. Nick decided that sliding down the hill without the sled was fun. He went down the hill on his back, emoticon head first. Gretchen was walking up the hill pulling the sled (it's a wooden toboggan like sled). She saw him coming and got out of the way but didn't think to move the sled. He hit hard enough that the skin broke open. Our friend called the ambulance (typical here). Our friend's wife came and got me and drove to the ER. Nick ended up with 5 stitches on the top of his head. I think he is most bothered by the hair being shaved. Why oh why do these things always happen when dh can't be there.

Good morning team - what a stressful week. The girl i work with was off on Monday and i was off on Turesday - she called off on Tuesday and the rest of the week so I had double duty all week plus with hubby being home and my expectations a liitle high I manage to stress my self right out. I really need to let it go and go with the flow - everything worked out ok and there really was no reason to get my pantys in a bunch. You would think i would know that by now - kick kick - but i did realise that my gym time is a major stress releaser and I jsut feel better when i go. Good lesson to learn this week.

Daisy~Congratulations on the safe arrival of Genevieve Marie! We figured you were at the hospital when you just disappeared off the radar!

Janine~Good job on the tracking!

Dorothy~Gave yourself a swift kick today, huh? Hope it worked!

Christina~I will definitely pray that with you. It's something we all need to pray about because it is so easy to just make choices. I think the softball is great for exercise and fellowship and if the mission is your passion it won't tire you out and you'd only regret not doing that service. When it is something that just wears you out and leaves you without joy...you'll know it wasn't/isn't right!

I didn't get on Spark until about 9 tonight. Began the day with schoolwork and then it was time for lunch so I made homemade mac & cheese with turkey bacon and chopped tomatoes. Other projects completed today: changed sheets on the beds, got the co-op interest sign-up papers ready to print once a few questions are answered (this took 2 hours!), ordered a grammar book I need for Maegann, found some great unit study materials about Hawaii... Just a nice day home.

Tomorrow I will head to the gym and then go get my fruit & veggie basket before doing some grocery shopping. I need to get to the library and then Maegann and I have hair trims at 1. Other than that...just going to be home.

Christina - thanks - I have to remind myself to accept the things I can not change, to change the things I can - I let myself get overwhelmed and stress this week and this morning I gave myself a swift kick in the butt. One day at a time!! That is why I bolw and golf - it is me time and we all need it so good for you on soft ball and you will figure out the rest.

Janet - I use to love to roller skate - haven't been on them in years - never roller bladed.

Janeen - good to see you here.

Daisy congratulations - love the name!

Congrats on the baby!!!!

Janet I'm really praying about it. Will you pray for me to do God's will not my own? The mission is one area I am really passionate about. Our new youth pastor is also very passionate about the mission. So I'm thinking it would be an awesome opportunity for our youth to actually take it on under my direction. That is part of what I feel called to teach our kids... reaching out and sharing God's love to those who are not always easy to love. I am learning to say no to things that I am not passionate about.

I found an old DVD called PrayFit. It is a bit cheesey but very basic 30 min routine. I am challenging myself to a 7 day challenge. I'm on day 2. I think joining the softball team has really inspired me to lose this weight I have gained.

I'm off to do some shopping for Sunday we are having a night of prayer in place of our usual youth program. We have 6 different prayer stations set up in different rooms. My job today is to purchase the supplies.

Have a great day!
