Dorothy~Gotta love those "stop and restart" sort of days at work. LOL Have fun spinning and bowling!!

Today should be a calmer day and I do need that! I went to the gym as planned and spent the entire time on abs and resistance as my legs were still so tired from all the walking this week. We're working through school and I'm getting my desk cleared off and the calendar organized for March. Only have Maegann's piano lesson at 3:30 this afternoon so I should easily be able to get a nap. Going to make Asian Beef for dinner tonight as it is simple and won't produce leftovers. Getting in "heading out of town" mode so no leftovers needed. We leave Friday morning about 4 a.m. and will head back home on Sunday. At least I can "rest" in the van on the drive, right? LOL I would like to get the program put together for presentation night and I almost have the rosters ready for Monday as we are beginning Session 3. Only 9 more class days for this year!

Rough morning at work - do this - no do this - no we need to do this. How many times do I have to start over. Oh well - it will get done. I found that my exercises classes put me in such a good frame of mind yesterday so I definately know I need those during these trying times. Today spinning and bowling.

Janet - I am glad everything if finally falling into place for Isaac - hopefully he responds well to all of this. Glad the Dr had the answers you were seeking for your own issues. Now - back away from the m&m's - lol!

Cyndrea - that is awesome that the boys are into the marathon. Good job on the bike riding.

Dorothy~Hugs! I pray your hubby follows through with the therapy call on Friday.

Cynedra~What a great example you are showing your kids with encouraging the marathon! Hope the violin lesson goes well tomorrow.

My doctor appointment went fine. He told me to use the steroid cream for a month solid on my dry, cracking spots on my hands and just keep doing what I’ve been doing with lotion and gloves. My sinuses…found inflammation between my eyes and the manipulation he was doing was painful. He also did some manipulation with my neck so a couple hours later I had a really bad headache and neckache going on. Thankful Ibuprofen kicked it easily. I am to work at the inflammation using the same painful manipulation a couple times a day to open up the sinuses. He said this could definitely be affecting my eyes too (all that seeping I’ve had for weeks).

Afterwards I stopped at Subway and bought a chicken salad for my lunch. It was yummy!

This afternoon I took Isaac for his first day of Occupational Therapy and right after we finished his Speech Therapy evaluation. He won’t need 1:1 speech (yeah!) but she did believe a group therapy would be very beneficial and he will start that on Thursday afternoon. Right now the group consists of 3-4 other boys that are 7-9 so it is a good fit. I will say I’m feeling a bit out of control right now with all these additional appointments. I’m looking at Tue/Thur each week and Wed/Fri every other week. Just feeling like nothing is going to get accomplished at home as our mornings are typically school. I am trying very hard not to grab the M&M’s!

Did get word today that the budget plan for Health & Welfare was approved so we can now begin purchasing equipment and hiring people to work with Isaac. I am not going to do anything until next week. At least we are up and running.

Tomorrow… gym, school and Maegann’s piano lesson. No bible study in the evening this week due to a church service that is planned for Ash Wednesday.

DH has been hogging the computer lately, but I can accept that. Luckily while he has an occasional drink, he never does it to excess. L's first violin lesson was supposed to be today but hey moved it to tomorrow as there was some paperwork that was quite accomplished in time for school board regulations. The boys now have 2 miles of their marathon done with S complaining the first half mile each time and enjoying the second half mile. I was able to go on another bike ride today which was good. Some fairly tough headwinds, but which were wonderful tailwinds when we turned around. L & S both did homework after our walk without too much fuss. More fussing on S's part then L's. And then L wanted to do his classmates' valentines. We did S's over the weekend as his teacher sent the names home. L's list didn't come home until today.

I saw you guys mention Starfall. The boys love that and Spelling City too. I recently found SoftSchools which is pretty nice as well.

Okay, big day tomorrow so I better do a bit of last minute straightening up and hit the hay.

Janet - the divorce will be put on hold while I sort out everything. Yesterday I was very supportive - today I am very angry. So I am swinging like a pendelum. Hope the Doc can give you some relief for your sinus and hands. Also hope you get all of the answers for Isaac. Nice that you hubby do something special with the kids for valentines day.

Lisa - I hope he sticks to it for you. All of the promises and broken promises have really wore me out!

Hubby is suppose to call rehab on Friday to see if they have any open beds/. In the meantime he is suppose to be taking care of things but all he wants to do is sleep.

Dorothy~Ugh on the DUI after your decision was out in the open. Glad you enjoyed the time with your daughters in Buffalo. Will you continue with the divorce filing? Will be praying rehab opens up for him soon.

Lisa~Pray your husband can be done with the drinking, but there will be withdrawals.

Just a full day here that has worn me out. Co-op (extra stuff going on today), a nap, took Isaac out for his Valentine pizza and then came home and played Mario Kart Wii. We had some ice cream about 8:30. Finally 9:45 and they are heading to bed as Tim and Maegann didn't get home until about 10 min. ago. No school tomorrow!

Tomorrow... I managed to get an appointment with the Osteopathic doctor (usually takes 3 weeks to see him) and then have 2 appointments for Isaac. His speech eval. and then they called and wanted to schedule his Occupational Therapy. Thankfully it is right before the speech so if both continue it will be a one trip thing! Yeah! I also will try to pick up the paperwork from the pediatrician again. Anyway... really hope the doc can give me something new to try for these dry cracking hands. I've been fighting them since September and now I have 7 spots instead of 3. I will also have him check the sinus' as I'm having more headaches again.

Hugs Dorothy, my husband is an alcoholic too and on Friday he threw away all the beer in the house (about 8 cans) and said he was done. Now I'm keeping my fingers crossed he doesn't go through withdrawals. Working in a hospital I know withdrawals are a real concern. Not sure what prompted him to do this but I'm happy about it.

Hang in there Dorothy!

Hi all - sorry I have been MIA. Too much drama around here for me. Hubby got a DUI Friday night after I had told him I was filing for diviorce. Now he is back in the house and we are trying to get him into rehab. I did make it to Buffalo - and Kelly my whole family sat around my dauighters table and we stuffed ourselves on Prime rib, baked potaoes, and salad. I enjoyed it so much. Spen the night with another daughter and went out to breakfast with her. Got to spend alot of time with grandson. But then had to head back to the drama. Luckily ut has calmed down but we need to get hubby in rehab before I kill him!

Kelly~Both dinners sound yummy (salmon and rib) but sorry you got a bit too much consumed to feel miserable. You should definitely ask about work with this “not weird” friend. Maybe you could bring in something to change the “odor” of the place. LOL Yeah for healthy kiddos today! I’m glad you checked out Starfall. I sent that link to Janine for homeschooling. You should check out EnchantedLearning.com as well. I'll try to dig up some of my other go to places to help you out with fun stuff for Liv that will teach her "nothing." LOL

Church was good today. Had some great musicians grace our stage for worship. They met playing for Franklin Graham and have played in bands like Charlie Daniels and Dunn & Brooks to name just two. Great guitar, fiddle and vocals! The Children's Director did the right thing today and just held a conversation with Maegann about life instead of coming down on her for not going to the 5th grade class. I think it will be helpful that her daughter was at the birthday party yesterday and saw the huge amount of friends she has that are not related to church.

Once home I just couldn't stay awak and ended up taking a 90 min. nap. Probably would have slept longer but Isaac woke me up running through the house, slamming gates due to a fit he was throwing. Not liking that we are getting major meltdowns over having to do things he doesn't want to do frequently. Almost like he thinks it will get him out of the job, but it never has. Just delays things, however, today Tim made him go do the job while he was still screaming.

Quizzing went fine and after dinner Tim and I got more fruit processed for the dehydrator. The sweet potato chips he and the kids made were terrific! Then I got a few emails done for co-op and now I'm sparking while we watch a repeat Take Home Chef to show the kids China Town in San Francisco.

Tomorrow... co-op and then I'll be taking Isaac to Smoky Mountain Pizza for dinner as Tim is meeting Peter & his daughter Grace for their annual "Valentine's date". They are going to dinner, to an arcade and then out for ice cream.

Cyn haha on the bra issue. I often want to just pop into Curves/zumba but realize i'm 'ill equipped' if I'm not wearing the right bra. I usually say "i dont have the right ones'....they assume I mean sneakers. hehe Way to go on biking! Today Chaz had a paper to do and he was trying EVERYTHING to get out of it. I was waiting for him to say he couldn't because it was Sunday lol. I asked him about karate and he wasn't too interested (but never saw it either) he actually wants to play t-ball this year so we will try that. Great deal on switching him out to something he may totally excel at. Maybe teh music is interesting to him, or soothing??? which ever, as long as he feels accomplished, thats great!

Hi girls. Out to eat last evening with Office staff BLAHHH. I was doing well, salmon, green dry salad, then Tim gave me 'bites' of his prime rib and potatoes UGH I was miserable! I thought about the whole concept of a group of people sitting around a table stuffing their guts beyond comfort, not really able to interact with everyone and paying a ton of $$$ to feel that way....ODD. But its 'perfectly acceptable' socially speaking. why could we go bowling or something?
Recert CPR today and the dentist was there that I went on maybe 5 dates with while he was in dental school (and made me a gold tooth necklace for Valentines day in the 80's). I actually prayed it wasn't weird, or that he forgot me entirely! He didn't forget, but wasn't weird. Now wondering if maybe he would consider me if they have openings since its only 5 mins from my house. The office literally smells funny, but I could get used to it for a paycheck!! lol
Kids are healthy!! Praising God In fact i'm starting a 'practice school' session tomorrow for Liv. I found Starfall. Free kid stuff. Great printouts and phonics/alphabet things to do online. got teacher supplies (calendar, job chart, goal setter/tracker, rewards) wish me Holy intervention! lol Hoping I can get through 5 mins without a meltdown or freakout (ME). Janet I have NO CLUE how you manage to do all teh co op stuff! I am so lacking in organizing/planning/creating, But THANK YOU for the input and inspiration!!
Off to sleep in my OWN bed instead of the upstairs couch with Liv crawling on me all night like i'm sleep # bed. too tired to deal with it tonight. Sleep tight gals

Linda~Hi!

Kelly~Tell Liv you can study “nothing.” That would translate into a good lesson on creation… God forming everything from NOTHING! Too bad the hubby doesn’t realize how much those kiddos want him to just hang out with them. And the “attitude” definitely started here before the teen years! Start watching and you can even see the cyclical changes in Liv early on.

Janine~How are you feeling?

Cynedra~Hope you got that walk/run in today!

My day has gone as planned which is nice. Gym time was good, picked up my fruits & veggies, stopped at the grocery store and then came home to get ready for the party. Maegann’s party went very well and ALL 12 of the girls she invited showed up! I will post some photos on my blog so be sure to check them out!

Tonight Tim and Maegann are going to the Father/Daughter Dessert for Valentines Day so Isaac and I will have cake and ice cream and play the Wii.

Tomorrow… church and bible quizzing. I do need to figure out the Valentine Lute’s for Monday’s music class. I’m just not doing well making the heart pattern I need as it is narrower. Wish these craft books came with patterns!

Hi all. I'm hoping nobody is getting too hammered by the storm. We almost got rain from it on Thursday but it was nothing when it went through here.

I'm sorry that Tim is so not there for you and the kids. My DH spends some times with the boys, but often even when he is here, he is too busy for them. I have to remind him that it isn't about what he can make for them but just being with him. But gratefully, he is here and not elsewhere. S is bipolar about doing his work lately. One week he wants more homework and the next he doesn't want to do the little he has. L abhors doing his and drags it out forever. Also the attitude definitely can start before the teens.

Janine - I hope the flu bug is leaving everyone.

Dorothy - Congratulations on the black belt. I feel like it is yours as much as it is his. L lasted a month in karate before we all agreed that it wasn't for him. Now, we are trying violin next week. It is funny because his music teacher talks about what a focussed little boy he is and everyone else (including me when it isn't about computers) is generally saying he can't stay focussed.

Janet - 12 - 14 girls. The thought has my head swirling. Good luck.

Christina - After riding 25 miles on Thursday, I can imagine a spin class I think, especially given the fact that I left my water bottle in the van - luckily there were some water fountains. I was racing the potential of rain though so it made things a little iffy.

Linda - I hope all is well.

Need to get lunch together and then off for a mile walk/run - probably mostly walk unless I decide to change my bra (definitely makes a difference).

My Goals: 10% at a time.

HI only got a skift of 'NEMO'. Whats going on with anyone else?
Tim is 'out' so I'm letting kids 'do as they please, as long as nobody gets hurt' nite. HAHA Sometimes I wonder how old the kids will be when Tim realizes he has 2 small kids who WANT him HERE. Then they probably WONT want HIM by then. UGH He thinks he is the only man who works and has kids. Tonight I did have to go into 'mean mommy' mode for a few minutes when Liv announced she was only eating supper with DADDY. He wont be home til late so....she LOST that battle! lol Her attitudes--thought that didn't start til teens!
Janet I asked her what she would like to learn about. 'NOTHING", I'm not in school. I don't HAVE to learn blah.blah blah. Next breath "Mommy, get over her, we are late for practice school". I think she is TRYING me and WINNING most days.
They are watching TV. They got tired of 'entertaining' me they said. LOL

Chaz is so wrong... you'd be a great teacher! For Liv...find a subject she is interested in right now (weather, plants, animal...) and then do something around that. My kids always love those!

Praising God, Chaz is in school. They actually called me yesterday to see if i 'was aware he had missed alot of days' and I need Dr. excuses (which I always give). I told them to spent thier time more wisely by calling the moms who send thier kids to school sick. UGH I paid my tuition in full, I make sure he is caught up in his work and if he is sick, he won't do well there anyways. They claim if 'no fever over 101, they NEED to be in school'....really??
Was home to 'find Nemo' today. LOL but looks like it is missing us and headed more up the coast. Kids were so excited for snow (me too!)
Christina how do you have ANY time to procrastinate??? LOL
Doro super job to M! and you for helping/running/encourageing him to do it!!
Janet --mold drops LOL I know what ya mean but never actually knew there was such a thing. I may have to investigate for Mom. She has chronic cough/sinus jumk happening and they say Asthma and have her on sigular. I never see mold ot her place but they claim PA is a moldy state???
better get my butt in gear.....OK ladies I HAVE to get Liv up to speed on letters/school prep stuff. HELP!! I can barley get her to write her name without a BRIBE. Thinking if I start a 'program' or learning units type of thing???? Chaz just told me last night if I were his teacher NONE of the kids would like me or even WANT to be around me. YIKES

Janine~Hugs on the sickies at your house. Hope you begin to regain that energy soon!

Dorothy~Whoo Hoo for Michael and his black belt! I really wish Isaac and Maegann hadn't chosen to be done after their blue stripes. Enjoy Buffalo!

Christina~Hope you can get to those things you need to accomplish today!

Didn't make it to the gym this morning as we had a power outage so the alarm didn't go off. Then woke up to snow on the ground. My formal exercise turned into shoveling so at least that was something.

Working through school now and then we have an errand to run for the birthday party tomorrow. This afternoon Isaac has his counseling appointment and tonight I'm going to Mom's Night Out with co-op. Figure I'll make it to the grocery store on the way home so I don't have to do that in the morning. That way I can easily do the gym and Bountiful Basket in the morning and have a couple hours at home before the girls arrive. Looks like 12-14 of them are coming! Yikes! Nice that we can get the house pretty well straightened up this afternoon so won't be much needed in the morning.

Janine - so sorry you are sick - hope the whole family is feeling better soon.

Christina - I never thought I would be able to do it either but after my first time I was hooked. You Aunt is certainly lucky to have you in her life. Diabetes runs in my family as well so I have always had my daughters as well as myself checked for it and will start having them check Micahel as well.

Janet - good job on the gym. I got a subway gift card - maybe Micahel and I will swing by there tonight!

Planning on going to Buffalo tomorrow after Micahel get his half black belt - so proud of him! Can't wait to see my daughters and grandkids!

I am half back but crawling...I have had the flu for the last three days. Not to mention wonderful vomiting that accompanies it along with starting my monthly. Now you tell me how fun that sounds?! Passed flu to hubby and little one has ear infection, so we are trying to take it easy. Thank goodness our pediatrician is a sweetheart to our little one. Just eating chicken soup and not a lot.....Best diet ever said NO ONE! Hope to get back soon in the full swing of things as this flu has taught me that I am not 20 anymore. Back to my Amazing Grass drinks as soon as I can keep anything down. Sorry so explicit but I figured you could get the gist of how I feel...... emoticon

Christina~The closest I ever got to a spinning class was making the phone call to get a certain Executive I supported into a class. LOL That would have been a heart pincher to hear from your grandma regarding the weight/diabetes. Hugs! Your time with the Jr High girl sounds precious.

Dorothy~Sorry the bowling didn't go as well as it might have for you. At least it is fun regardless!

Started the day at the gym and now we're almost through with school before we head out to meet Amy and the kiddos for a playdate at the church gym. Figure we'll go by Subway and grab out "picnic" lunch as I don't have anything easy to throw together at home. Afterwards we'll go by Target for a birthday gift and to get the goodies to put with the kids' Valentines for Monday. Once home I'll tackle the lasagna for dinner.

Morning Girls!

I had a great time reading Zephania last night with one JrHigh girl. She is the only one left in my group since confirmation started. What a great opportunity for one on one time! Then came home to my bible study group. I never thought I'd be doing a bible study 8:30-10:30 pm, but it works for this group.
My aunt is in a lot of pain, but determined to work. So I made the drive. I will likely be doing it for a couple weeks until it begins to heal. The walk just from the car to her desk is really hard on her. I can't imagine her walking to the bus stop.

I am trying to make good eating choices. My grandma mentioned my weight yesterday in a very loving way. She is concerned that I might end up with diabeties like my aunt it I am not careful with my eatting habbits. Honestly it sorta pinched my heart, but I know she just concerned, and I have a lot of ppl to care for. She was heavy at my age too and learned portion control. UGH!!!

Dorothy I cant imaging a spinning class! I would pass out!

No turkeys for me last night - I don't think I even showed up until the third game - lol! Did have a good spinning class though. Today is body blast and spinning!

Kelly - hope those kids are feeling better soon. It is amazing about peoples priorityes and sending kids to school sick.

Janet - you are doing such a good job of taking better care of you maybe that is what you need to concentrate on this month - your netti pot instead of measuring.

Christina - wow - does it ever stop. Your family is so fortunate to have you.

Last weeks defeat is a gateway to many victories.

Christina~Hugs on the broken ankle that adds a bit more work to your current load. How did things go today?

Kelly~Too funny about the turkey at the lanes. I've known that forever as my dad was a bowler when we were growing up. Sinus stuff... I use a natural nasal spray and I also use the same stuff in my Netti Pot to rinse. I will admit I've not been faithful with the latter and really need to get back to at least once a day if not twice. I'm still using my Mold drops too.

Had a great bible study tonight at church. This book is really work intensive, but a great study bringing Jesus from Genesis to Revelation. Interesting stuff! Must try to work on it a little each day as it is hard to do all in one setting.

Tomorrow... gym, school and then meeting Amy and her kids at church so the kids can just play in the gym for awhile and we'll have lunch together. Should be fun. Once home I will make lasagna (skipped it today as I just didn't have time to put it together). I don't think there is anything else that needs my attention. LOL

ohdear Christina.... emoticon here's your award for keeping your chin up in the poop pile!! Love ya!! hats off to you girlfriend.
Cyne the marathon thing sounds great! I hear ya about allergies/speech. I wonder alot of times if Chaz's 'attention issues' are really behavior OR illness related. I know how spacey I feel when your aren't well. UGH, how to tell????
Doro Go TURKEY!! LOL hehe, I dont really know anything about bowling but learned about that when it popped up on the monitor thingie in the next lane and I announced how cool it was they had Thanksgiving stuff programed on teh screens. Didn't take the guy too long to set me straight that it was indeed NOT a decoration lol
Janet sinuses AGAIN. I think you need a salt lamp!! I probably just paid $$ for a night light lol
really though, do you ever do the saline squirters? I like arm&hammer menthol one and think its kept me out of crisis. Liv hates its, but chaz is getting used to it and I think its helps him stay open.
I am really struggling with folks sending kids to school sick. I took chaz in at lunch when I went to serve, he took a few bites and bent over. I just yanked him right back out of school, only slight diarrhea, but still.....I don't want him exposed to everythign else. So much hacking, teachers sick and working, UGH....the sec told me her kids had belly junk but she made him go because its better than him sitting home thinking about it--- HELLO people....makes ya wonder.

Things around here continue to be crazy! My aunt fell and broke her ankle yesterday. I spent the day with drs. Then I was up a few mins after 5 to drive her to work in Cincinnati. Ben had to come home from school sick again today, and now I'm sitting in Cincinnati waiting for my aunt to get off work. Ugh! I'm keeping this positive! I am so BLESSED to be scalable to help my family!!!

Cyndra we have a program similar in our school that goes along with the flying pig marathon. It is great to give kids those opportunities!

Dorothy~Enjoy spinning and bowling today!

Cynedra~The kids marathon sounds great! Glad your kids want to do that.

Can still feel some ache in my left temple, but it's feeling more like sinus pressure now. I did sleep in as yesterday just wiped me out. Had to go to the pediatricians office this morning and drop off paperwork I had totally forgotten about that is needed for the application our Support Broker submitted. Whoops! Just finished up school and need to figure out lunch. Planning to make lasagna for dinner tonight so will need to get that built too. Might push it off until tomorrow when I have more time since piano is in the middle of the afternoon. We'll see!

Apparently my magic wand is not working and people are still getting sick or having problems. Sorry. Reading about the speech evaluations reminds me that I really need to get S tested as well. He spends so much time with allergies and colds though that I am concerned that an evaluator might not be sure if it is the cold or his speech. He is slightly tongue tied although his doctor doesn't think it is enough to need it clipped. I think it does cause problems with his speech.

I'm currently impressed with some community stuff. One of the hospitals and the blood bank is sponsoring a KIDS marathon. My boys want to do it which will also force DH and I to do it as well (a good thing). They sign up which I will do for them shortly, log 25 run/walk miles over the next two months (or one month if they sign up late), and the do the last 1.2 miles at a local high school on 4/6. Any child who does it gets a completion medal and they get to wear bib numbers on the 6th like they are in an actual marathon race. I'm excited for them and think it is wonderful that a focus is being put on this.

Here's hoping everyone is doing better soon.

Janet - hope no migranes for you today. Soon you will have the answers for Isaac - awesome. Wish my Dr would perscribe massages - lol. Aw Jane Fonda - she was good!

Kelly - hope the kids are both feeling better. Too funny about huby - I think they are sometimes brainless.

Lisa - I need beauty sleep too - just need to figure out how to get some. lol!!

Made it to body blast and spinning yesterday and today is spinning and bowling!

Christina~UGH! On the sick one and the broken washer!

Dorothy~I used to do the Jane Fonda ones too. LOL

Kelly~Hope Chaz is feeling better. Too funny about the hubby and the pizza.

Lisa~Our Osteopathic doctor suggested I make this monthly massage part of my physical and emotional therapy. He was soooo right!

Speech eval for our son went well and they will finish the testing next Tuesday. Overall he did pretty well. While there I checked on the counseling wait list for Maegann and got her scheduled with the same guy that Isaac sees. We had hoped for a female, but now that I've had time to think about it...someone that knows Isaac's autism issues could really be beneficial in helping her deal with them.

Developed a migraine about 11:30 this morning and it finally began easing up about 6. Thankful it wasn't any longer! Really dropped me for the afternoon. Was thankful the nap helped so I could make it through the speech eval.

Praise: chaz and i's guts held out!! NO crud. I did keep him home, still snotty/coughy somewhat but man I was afraid he was getting it. God is good. I have to do lunch tomorrow so I'm planning on being there!!
Its hard doing bland all day. Good diet tactics: pretend you are just about to get stomach bug! LOL
so all this work I go through and Tim walks in the door pretty near bedtime and announces "I got pizza!" Like he just won the lottery! Somedays I think the man is on mars UHHHHH. The kids think he is Mr. Marvelous and meany mommy is thrown to the wolves. So help me....I managed to keep them away from it, but they are probably going to need therapy some day from me denying them pleasures!! LOL Hopefully tomorrow we can go back to 'real food'.

Kelly you’ve never heard of salt giving you the runs, it makes you not eat Cream of Wheat either….lol

Janet I had a deep tissue massage at the end of January and think I need to make this a regular appointment.

Doro I too worked out to Jane Fonda and I remember that I even enjoyed the workout.

Keeping my fingers crossed that Christina and Kelly’s kidos can’t spread their puke cuties via the computer. Nothing worse than cleaning puke over and over again (isn't that the definition of insanity?).

Janine I am going to try Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. I think PX90 would be too hard for me (not sure I can even spell it right.)

Hi Linda, Cynedra and Sonya!

Things are going okay. My weight was up again but only .2. I can tell a difference in my clothes which is good. Waiting on Aunt Flo to arrive so this could be the reason. My husband is traveling again and will be gone two nights a week. He’s not that far from home but with this crazy weather it’s difficult to commute. I am still trying to work out in the mornings but man I need my beauty sleep.

I almost 'created a new discussion' YIKES. Thats like me on FB clicking the little x to escape photo etc but actually its 'report this post' hahaha. my friends think i'm a hopeless techy
We are on 2 hr delay BUT, Chaz had runs this am UGH so I'm keeping him home anyway. trying to convince him to eat plain cream of wheat. He has been sitting there goofing-off for nearly an hour but takes a bite when I tell him to. Just glad to hear him happy.
Christina I hate broke washers. I curse mine often (front loader that eats socks and smells) but then repent because I sure would hate to NOT have it. Which one of you just went thru this last year? Maybe Heather?? I think the appliances form an alligance against us!! LOL which kid, and whats wrong? I feel like I've created a bio hazzard with all my cleaning chemicals and they still get junk, can't imagine with more kids to deal with. ((HUGS))
Janet I would love Livy to get speach. She will be 5 in March and I think she should enunciate better but the eval says 'normal'. Thinking MY 'view of 'normal' is different than theirs! She was tested at 3 I think but didn't qualify for any help. I was happy, yet disappointed. Anything is better than nothing with education/speech stuff I think, at any age.
Doro count those blessing with M not getting sick. I think I was 12 or so and it was like a switch flipped that I didn't get sick anymore (or those clandestine trips to chiro!!) Mom worked for medical drs and they were actively against Chiropractors then. Wondering if I should take my kids. I bought a salt lamp and put it in his room. That cant give him the runs can it???

Christina - emoticon nothing worse than a sick kid and a broke washing machine.

Janet - good luck at the evals today. Massage sounds wonderful. My youngest daughter had speech problems - therapy sure did help.

Kelly - emoticon hate throw up. So happy it has not visited us this year other than my grand daughter at Christmas. Michael has been surpisingly very healthy.

Linda - emoticon

Janneen - I have never tried that program - I usually go to our local Y for classes but I use to do the Jane Fonda and Cher exercise programs - lol - I am sure that just dated me!

Sonya~Thank you for the affirming words. Nice to have your hubby working out with you, etc.! I’m not sure he’d appreciate our hormonal/TOM rantings. LOL

Christina~It is just crazy what is acceptable anymore in our culture. The evil one is sure having a good time isn’t he? The difficulty with Isaac’s meltdowns when they are the major ones is he can’t soothe himself at all and if left to fuss it just keeps escalating. With these meltdowns he can’t he even speak. We do send him off on his own when he starts and try to let him get control of himself, but when it keeps escalating we have to step in to help him gain control as they could go on for an hour.

Cynedra~I hear what you’re saying about rewarding everyone. Congrats to the boys for their earned rewards!

Linda~Hi back! Our Cotillion teacher just headed to New Zealand for a month to visit family. No idea where, but made me think of you.

Kelly~So sorry your kiddos can’t shake the sickness. Hugs!

Had my monthly massage tonight and I hurt in several places, but that's a good thing. Will have to use a different therapist as this was the last week for the one I've had from the beginning. Thankfully Steve referred me to someone that he felt would do well for my tough shoulder and back stress.

Co-op went well today and we had a couple additional activities going on so am thankful they went smoothly. The parents (some of them) of the Jr/Sr High kids planned the classes they'd like to see offered next year so that's a huge help to me and the leadership team. While that was happening the kids were decorating their Valentine bags and next Monday we'll have the exchange. Should be fun, but means I need to get the kids busy making their valentines this week!

Isaac has his speech evaluation tomorrow afternoon and part of me says, "Yep...we'll be adding one more day of therapies to our weeks." and the other says, "Please say he doesn't need it." LOL Will be interesting to find out what the eval shows. You forget that you adapt to the communication when you live with someone where a stranger might see things that are needing assistance.

Linda HELLO!! I just watched derby Dogs, a family movie in NZ and thought of you. Kids just got a nice wall map and were trying to figure out HOW to get there from here. haha....thought there was a bridge!
Janet I don't play with others when it comes to them overstepping there bounds. I recall the pastors wiffe telling me i MUST but Chaz in the nursery when he was 3 weeks old, I think NOT. She acted like I wasn't cutting the apron strings soon enough, turns out she was having an affair. OOPS Guess my 'disobedience' lost value in the grand scheme of things lol Surely it will all work out for M. God can turn it all for good....
Doro Glad you are WELL. I would rather watch Beonce than go to Sams. Unfortunaltely Livy YAKED on my LT, all over me and the floor right before the game. Good we have drv or Tim would have bailed on me. Then 4 more times, right after cleaning the mess on the hardwood, then couch, livingroom. Then we finally got the hang of the bucket! UGH Tim was 46 minutes behind on the game and was WILD. I was a nervous mess and kinda missed it all but that commercial Christina mentioned. American Farmers, awesome.
PRAISE Livy is much better today, dispite me being afraid everythign would come flying out any second, she did great1 Chaz stayed home today, congested and little cough. UGH....praying he stays WELL. His teacher is out sick with flu. I am tired of living on teh cliff edge waiting to fall off so to speak with this sickness stuff. Iam getting angry. I scrub, steam clean, spray, wipe, spray again, wash the skin off my hands UGH

Okay, if those show up I am waving my magic wand and trying to make everyone's problems go away. I read through all the posts, but can't remember who all said what. S is home sick (sort of), and I have my truck driver brother's taxes to do this week. I didn't watch the superbowl last night but did watch some of the commercials online. I loved the Budweiser one with the Clydesdale.

The boys had a quarterly awards day on Friday. Every child was given at least one award which I guess was nice, but at same time deflates the value of an award a little. S got Principal's list for grades, and a respect award. L got a BUG award (bringing up grades) and a Citizenship award. Ls grades in math still falter because he can't seem to remember his math facts quickly and they have a weekly math facts quiz of 20 problems to be completed in 2 minutes.

Oh well, I'd better get busy.

We rarely watch regular TV. I was shocked by the adds: nearly Naked men and pole dancers!! What was Beonce dancing in? someone forgot to dress her. I was a bit disapointed. I did enjoy the RAM comercial about the farmer.

Janet sorry I had a bad day. I know this is nearly impossible but have you tried ignoring the meltdowns? Some kids do it for the reaction they get. I honestly am not good at ignoring them!

Janet - you should have peace at church - not drama - I cvan remember when I was a Sunday School Teacher having drama with other members - not fun. Good for you for sticking to your guns.

Christina - must have been fun having such a huge turnout. Wonderful that ou can share church with so many of your family.

Sonya - it is a hard road - this enabling - easier said than done.

Micahel and I went to Sams Club and the mall yesterday - I only watched the first half of the super bowl - sounds like the 2nd half was exciting. Did not even bother watching the half time show as I am not a huge Beonce fan. Feeling better today and hoping to get back into my gym routine.

ok hubby and I started the day with P90X so off to a good start. I guess he may be the only male member of LIL MOMMIES lol.....

I just want to save any of my kids from pain even when it is self inflicted but she needs to learn the hard way what real life is all about (while she is using a car we bought and a cell phone we provide) .... yep still enabling I guess.

You are MEG's mother NOT the children director so SHE should trust YOU more! I can say this because I also know you are trusting GOD!

She feels very safe at the bible study. Miss Ivy will be a wonderful mentor. We did her lesson homework tonight....on grateful ness. Good discussion. They are using a curriculum called Bright Lights.

Isaac had another major meltdown tonight. He was mad that I was celebrating the Ravens winning. Not sure why that triggered a meltdown but it did. He has been having major ones almost daily again. No idea what is changing for him.

a couple years ago we had some moms start a club 4/5. They do SS together and have outings and sleepovers so they have time to bond and transition to youth group. We seperate our youth between jr high and sr high. My heart breaks for her. I hope this other group really helps! They need to feel special and loved and wanted at this age, well really at all ages!

She is in 5th and this group is on their own this year (without other grades) preparing to move to 6-12 youth group. No plan for her to join before all this. The bible study went great. We are going to make our CO trip one day shorter so she can go on the 14th and not miss the second time there. Sad that the children's director doesn't think these other outlets will be enough to help. I think they will do more!

That's a huge turnout for Super bowl Sunday by the youth! =sounds like fun too.

Janet What grade is M? At our church 6th grade is the most difficult. We don't really have the clicks so much, but we have such a large group that everyone just blends. I'm sorry M is still struggling! How did her new bible study go? You just vent away! I had a breakdown on Wed with our new youth director. I told her my church was abandoning my neediest child because they canceled his life group and there was no where for him to be on wed nights if he didn't go to confirmation class. We worked it out,he is going through confirmation with my oldest son chaperonng the overnights. We have to do what is right for our kids! Gary thought I should have not said anything either. Sometimes if I hold it in I get bitter. I think if its a big deal to you its better to put it out on the discussion table.

We had a great worship service! My brother came, Skye my 13 yo cousin came (she usually only comes on sunday nights and weds to the youth events) and my oldest son and DIL. I love being surrounded by family! the more of them I can get to church the better! No youth tonight we went to Lazer Kraze this afternoon. We had 46 youth show up. A good croud for super bowl day.

Well, let me just add to the team drama that's going on.

Hit a wall this morning at church named "Children's Director." She was all out of sorts that I wouldn't "let" Maegann go to her own class today since the "girls she doesn't like" aren't there today. After many more words she proceeded to play the "I've got 30 years of experience working with this age of children and what she is going through is not unique so you should trust me more." That "I'm always there and nothing is going to happen." And then she dug herself even deeper by telling me that this is Maegann's doing and that she is pulling rank on us. You can imagine I didn't stand quietly by for that! I was nice and tried to give her other information but she is right and I'm wrong. I am having to dump the information to get through it today because I am not going to carry this around much longer. I told Tim (who totally doesn't understand why I have to get it all out of my system) that I am NOT going to accept that I/we are the ones in the wrong. If she can't listen to me or accept our decision, that is totally her problem. Yes, we are going against the "norm" of children having to be in the youth programs at church and we're totally fine with that. I will admit I am really tired of others telling me they know what is best for my children. I will get to a place of forgiveness today, but right now the wound is still gaping. Thanks for listening.

Ready for the big game! Just need to build our traditional cheese dip for "dinner." Not going to kill me to totally step out of "spark eating mode" for one evening!

ah girls - love you all so much - we all have the same problems just in differant areas -lol.

Sonya - you tried to help her and if she can't live by your terms than you were right in having her leave - she is an adult now. So easy for me to give advice when my own life is such a mess - wish everything was as easy as it sounds.

Janet - I hear you on the noise level. The wine festival was packed - had to wait in line to get in, wait in line to get our "free" glass, had to wait in line to try differant wines, it was hot and loud. I was glad to get out of there. I do not do well in hot, noisy, conditions and the people were a whole nother story. Kelly - you would appreciate it - there were so many -hillbillies:-llol!

Christina - hugs to you - wish life and decisions could be a little easier.

Janneen - hear you on the parents - my dad is turning 80 and my mom is in here 70's. Thank god my mom is very healthy but my dad is declining:(

Kelly - you make yourself crazy with the guilt complex. I know what you mean about mini vacation - I feel like that when I go to Buffalo to visit my girls and grandkids!

I think Micahel and I are going to head to Sams today and the mall.

Last weeks defeat is a gateway to many victories.

Lord - grant me the Serinity to accept the things I can not change, the Courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the differance.

SonyaSparkle, you are doing the right thing for your daughter. You wait and see when she gets older...she will look back and regret the way she acted. You and your hubby sound like GREAT parents and deep down inside she knows she is wrong. I think young people at this age always have a "phase" they go through. I know I did and think to myself...I sure didn't make it easy for my parents. Now my mom and Dad, I cherish because I am in my 40's and don't ever want to lose them. Hope this gives you some relief from the stress you are going through.

David is now Dasherman1. We start on Monday. Now for a topic I could use help with..... Adult children can't live withour them.... because they won't go away!!! Oh, nevermind another one finally did ... today.... but she moved out angry and left accusing letters for her dad and I. I can never posr this stuff on Face book but I can vent here. We gave her an apartment over our garage, paid for her cell phone, gave her a car to dirve and all we ask in return is that she pay her portion of the car insurance and keep the apartment clean. The apartment hasn't been clean she she moved into it 6 weeks ago, then she hit ours cars into each other for the third time (so now she owes us for the damages for that but spends her money on anything but), had her heat on 80 degrees when Dave went to wake her at 11 a.m. , and had left over STEAK in our refridgerator when she knows that we can barely make ends meet. It was not a pretty sight.

Kelly~Glad you had a good time at your moms. I don't have a food processor so this attachment definitely takes care of that need. I think the next attacher I'll get soon is the juicer as I brought home a huge box of oranges this morning from Bountiful Baskets.

Made it through playgroup. I say that only because it is sooooo noisy in those fast food "play areas. Watching Lawrence Welk and enjoying a fruit smoothie right now. Kids will be in bed soon.

Just home from Mom's. Kids and spent the night. Its not that far from here, but its easier to just syat there, feels 'normal'. She lives small town (same place she and I both grew up). I think its crazy she only ever lived in 3 houses that are beside each other her whole life so far. Part of me misses neighbors, quick runs to the store, sidewalks to walk at night. That would help me feel more 'connected'. So I stay there when I can. cheap vacation and she is 'health-kickish' LOL keeps me in line!
Doro ENABLING UGH....its one of those million $ terms. I see both sides of that, but the inner fighter in me gets my dander up over putting the 'issue' onto the 'enabler'. I know there is so much more to it, but it still bugs me. Almost like you can't be a the regular, nice, wife type because that 'enables' him. I get what they mean but still. How about a 'heres a gold metal for putting up with this crap so long'. Sorry, I'm ranting!! lol and THANKS! you are soooo right about me NOT being a good stay homer. I try. and try....its just NOT the same dynamics, but I didn't have my kids then, so I'm afraid I would feel too guilty/stressed over them being sick while I'm at work/missing school stuff/SCHEDULE etc.....see, too much time on my hands I only see the grasshoppers in teh Promised Land, ONCE AGAIN,I was NEVER like that. CRAZY How are you feeling? Hope you got the wine tasting in. Sounds like a great trip
Janet I love my kitchen aid! I don't even have that attch. I have a food processor that I slice/shred with. Tim only purees!! hehe a joke about him 'helping' me with zucchini bread! I tried freezing Moz Cheese, but it got kinda weird when I went to use it, guess it didn't taste bad, just texture off. sorta watery/rubbery more than usual yet crumbly at the same time.

Dorothy~Your trip to the wine festival today sounds great! I wish I did have a magic wand I could wave for you. I guess you have to decide how long you will put up with him not taking care of the issue with therapy and AA. Hugs & prayers!

Feeling much better today and I’m thankful. I headed out of the house about 6:45 and got a good workout done at the gym. Next I went grocery shopping as I had a message our Bountiful Basket truck was late and pick up time wasn’t until 9. I did get there early and the door was open so was home by 9 instead. I then got things put away, took a shower and then headed out to buy a slicing/grating attachment for my Kitchen Aid so I could grate 10 lb. of potatoes and freeze them for hashbrowns. Got all the potatoes from Bountiful Basket the last two weeks and Isaac and I are the only ones that can eat them. Tim was helping me and then we decided to tackle the apples as we had way too many (again from the Basket) so we’ve got those sliced and dehydrating. I needed cheese grated for our traditional cheese dip for Superbowl so we zipped through that as well. Went ahead and grated 2 lb. of cheddar while we were at it. Loving that Kitchen Aid! I finally got to the computer about 2:30 and put receipts in the computer, did some co-op business and now I’m sparking. We leave for playgroup about 4:45. Maegann will be sidelined at playgroup tonight as we’re going to a Carl’s Jr. with a play area. Can’t risk twisting it again. She can sit with Jordan as he is nursing a broken arm and can’t get his cast until this week.

Quizzing is cancelled for tomorrow afternoon due to the football game so once we’re home from church and I’m glad for that. Looking forward to just watching the game. Hope it is a good one and not a blow out.

Wow - sounds like we all need a big booster shot! Maybe we need to go on a trip. Actually girlfriend and I are going to a wine festival today weather permitting. I think we will be ok. From 60 on WEdnesday to 6 inches of snow on the ground and 11 degrees. I think mother nature is having some emotional problems too. When I talked to the Counselor on Wednesday he told me what I already knew. I need to stop enabling my husband - which means stop doing anything for him - hard to do after taking care of hi for 20 years. And I know he is right - I alrady know I have to stop but it is hard. He also told me Mike really needs to go to rehab but he does not thing he will do it. In the meantime he went to the Dr on Wenesday and I think he has a perscription of viacadin. So no booze right now beecause he has drugs. It is exhausting. And he has not been to AA in over a week. I ended up coming home yesterday because I still do not feel well. My eyes hurt really bad - I hope I do not have an infection - I am just so tired. And my throat has been tender for a week but not raw. So.... that is where I am. And I am sure stress is playing a big part in it all and for the weight gain last year. He also told me hwat I already knew - that the stress is going to affect my health so something is going to have to give. Anybody have a majic wand.

Kelly - I think you need to find a part time or full time job or some kind of volunteer work. You sound like you are loosing yourself which is easy when you are raising kids. And you need to find yourslef again. You can do it - just need to figure out which direction you need to go but I really do not think you are a stay at home person and there is absolutly nothing wrong with that. Love your girl!

Janet - hope your emotions are better today. I am so proud of your. You have come so far in the last 2 years. You got rid of the stress makers in your life even though it was a painful process. And look at all you have accomplished since. Going to the gym regularly, no more sodas, and night time snacking is under control. Yiou are my hero!

Sonya - lucky girl to have hubby join with you - sounds like a wonderful relationship full of so much love.

Last weeks defeat is a gateway to many victories.

Lord - grant me the Serinity to accept the things I can not change, the Courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the differance.

That's great news Sonya!

Thankfully dd's knee was just a strain so they wrapped her up in a nice bandage and sent her home with care instructions. We just decided it had been a week and no change that it was worth checking out. Got home 5 min. before Jenn arrived for dinner so it was good timing there. I was able to function through the evening, but am still feeling tired (even with that 90 min. nap I took) from the emotions and what I'm guessing is a bad hormonal swing. Tomorrow has to be better!

Its blustery today. Brrrr. Did nothing really all day. Laundry, return books, dropped off things for niece's birthday, regular meal/cleanup and now its time to do supper. Its like time just flies and I'm hangin' on the sticky-paper. UGH and I can't recall last time I shaved my armpits! Thinking I need some of Janets secret recipe hormone fixer-upper! Those stupid depression commercials make me think I'm the poster child of them. I don't really FEEL depressed but WOW talk about unproductive
Doro there are so many wierd things going around, glad you are better. Wonder if stress plays a part??? They once told me its like living with a dragon and you never know the next BLAST is coming. or a roller coaster and you are blindfolded....niether which is too nice to deal with day in day out. I'm sure its hard for him too, but its a whole different dynamic on you. What are you thinking? Is he drinking again?
Janet I hope your 'recipe' kicks in before game night! Emotions are so tiring! I am more flatliner lately....or more hanging on the perptual ANGRY side. Soooo unlike the 'me' i know. This past year or so, I wonder 'who is this person' then realize its ME. YIKES

Dorothy~Glad you are feeling better today. Praying for you as you figure out what is to come next. I hear you on wanting some things to just go away....

I didn't make it to the gym after all and may try to go this afternoon when (if) Tim is home for the day. I'm also having a very emotional day and can't explain why. Guessing it is hormone levels being out of whack so will increase my progesterone today and keep taking Holy Basil. Dislike these "cry at a drop of a hat" days.

Jenn comes tonight for dinner and games so I for sure need to get some rest as these emotional days make me so tired. I do need to go by the grocery store for a couple things I need for dinner tonight so at least the promise of an outing.

Sonya - glad to see you drop in and it is nice to keep up with you on face book

Lisa - way to go - you are an ispiration to us all!

Kelly - at least the school year is over half way over - I sure hope you get a better teacher next year.

Christina - I had tendonitis in my elbow one year and it ded go away - but like Janet said - you are on your feet all day long so it will take time. Hugs on the other issues - hope it all worked out. Good job on the eating!

Janet - glad you finally got all of Isaacs paperwork done and are on your way. Must be a big relief. I ahve not been to the gym since Tuesday as I have not felt well - hope to make it today.

I went home from work yesterday after being here only an hour because I did not feel well - feel so much beter today. Not sure what is going on - sore throat and sore eys. And just tired and achy. Also went for my counseling yesterday by myself as Mike had a Dr appt - I have come pretty much to crossroads and am not sure what is going to happen - sigh -wish it would all just go away.

Well I know it seems I have deserted Spark People. I wanted to drop you guys a line and let you know I am still among the living. Fulltime school at night plus full time teaching school by day equals NO TIME. At least I am always so busy that I haven't gained any weight back. I can't wait for the summer when I will have nothing to do but get focused on health. I know it's an excuse, but I really think since my best friend KIm is a Beach Body coach and lost about 80 pounds, she can help me get nearly 3 months of great habits going before I have to go back to teach. You can always see what's up with me on Face Book if you send a friend request. I am listed as Sonya Sherman (Chilton) in TN

Kelly~That's a tough one when you aren't there to really see what is going on.

Celebrating tonight as we have Isaac's spending plan done and ready to submit for approval. Yeah!!! Once that is accomplished we can start finding people to work with him and buy some equipment he needs for sensory issues.

So nice to see our girls 'GitRDone'....
I'm trying to make dinner, Chaz had a rough day at school. He is just NOT paying attention I fear, and I"m getting VERY angry at the dumb teacher for enabling it. I mean REALLY, if he is sitting there starring into space, DO SOMETHING. She just sends his work home with a red note and then I have to make him do it here.....I think we are missing the point! i ask him what he is doing instead and he says he is thinking about what to write etc, so he is trying I guess. UGH Not sure what the harry to do. He says he is Sooooo tired....I want to punish poor coorperation, but if he is hatching something....UGH

I completely forgot to post my victory! I was able to avoid emotional eating for day 2! I'm on a roll. I wrestled last night after my bible study group left. I really wanted a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, but I had a glass of sugar free fruit punch and went to bed.

Lisa~Congrats on the 15 pounds! The new schedule will cause changes, but you can do it!

Christina~Hugs! I'm glad you didn't hold that hurt inside. Glad you were able to come up with a solution. We're in no hurry to do our taxes...we have to pay more and don't have the money to do that right now. The tendonitis...it just takes so long. I still have small flare-ups in my elbow but for the most part it is good. I think this is what is happening with Maegann's knee right now but I can't keep her off her feet easily. I think yours will be tough as you do need to use your feet!

Made it to the gym this morning at long last. Yeah!!! Now we're working on school and it appears we will get done at our more usual time. Whew. Only other thing on the schedule is running a couple quick errands and then taking Maegann to bible study. She's so excited to go for her first time.

Lisa congrats on that 15# loss! Your inspiring! That new schedule is going to add a challenge but you can do it! your on a streak!

I had another emotional day yesterday. Some hurt feelings over program changing. I faced it head on through tears and said exactly how it made me fell. Then I had guilt. But i think it's not healthy to hold those hurts in and let them fester. UGH The momma bear comes out when you mess with my boys! In the end the situation was managed, and we came up with a solution to the problem.

I'm gonna procrastinate the taxes until next week. This week I am focusing on preparing my talk and running this house. My foot is really flared up so I am soaking in epsom salts. I cant justify going back to the dr after I payed so much for no healing results. Anybody ever recover from tendonitis?

Haven't been on for awhile, it took a minute to catch up! I have been under the weather since this crazy weather can't decide what to do. I'm sure it's just allergies but I can't breathe through my nose. I was up a pound on Tuesday, not worried about it. I worked out on Monday but just to hard to breath and exercise since then. My work schedule is changing to 10:30 a - 7:00 p the month of February. The kids are in daycare three days a week so I hope I can make it to the gym those mornings and then take them with the two other nights or mornings. I bought Jillian's 30 day shred and would like to try once I feel better.

January flew by. Happy to have had a 15 pound weight loss and curious to see how February goes with the modified work schedule and working out.

Dorothy~Hugs!!! You definitely do need that outlet to release the stress. Praying the hubby wises up and gets himself to rehab/therapy.

Christina~You'll do great with your Chrysallis stuff! Probably feels good in a sense knowing it is almost over so you can have one less thing on your list of "to do's." Glad you had a better day overall!

Cynedra~Hugs on longing to be back in Onederland. I still have so far to go and I really need to just push myself harder again with the food side of things.

Got Isaac's speech evaluation scheduled for Tuesday afternoon and if he needs further work it will be weekly on Tuesday afternoons. I don't relish the thought of that, but if it will help him it is worth the time. Can't imagine having to throw occupational therapy in on top of it all. Glad that list is a bit longer to get scheduled. I really would like the next scheduling item to be Maegann's counseling.

I was all set to go to the gym this morning and never made it there. Evidently I turned the alarm off and went right back to sleep. Tim said he debated about getting me up for ten minutes but knew I usually get right up and head out so figured I must need the sleep. I will get some resistance/ab work accomplished at home so I'm at least doing something today!

We're still working through school this morning. Hard getting them engaged as we had a week off. Isaac will be finishing some of his work after lunch the rate he's going. Just poking along with his math. Two hours of poking to be exact. Giving him a 5 min. break and then we'll do our "together school" so Maegann's afternoon isn't compromised over his school work.

Have piano lesson at 3:30 and then my bible study tonight.

Janet

Christina - I can totally relate to catching up and then falling asleep before typing back. I think the IRS will start accepting all of them today so if you have your stuff ready to go, you can file.

Kelly - If I lived some place that was all rocks and stones, I probably wouldn't ride either. Right now, I'm looking around at all the stuff that needs done around the house and the bright warm sunshine and thinking about going riding instead of doing the work. I will move the clothes to the dryer before I take off. The weather is going to turn tomorrow so I really think I might do it. We have a 46 mile paved (no traffic) trail about 4 miles from here so that it makes it nice.

I'd better get moving. The more I think about it the better the biking idea sounds. If I stay home, I am likely to get depressed and overeat AGAIN. Not a good idea. I'm still can't believe that I was once in Onederland and now am not.

Thank you all for the support! I had a better day yesterday. I didn't track but I didn't over eat!
Now to just keep it up.

I finished writing my talk for the upcoming Chrysalis Flight.. I preview it with the team on Sat. I can't believe this is our last training session! It was back in July when I was ask to direct the flight and it is almost here!

I always use turbo tax as well. It is super easy even when I owned my own buisness. Anyone hear when they will start processing the returns? I never watch any news.

our day started out in the 60's and will b dropping to near 25 crazy KY weather!

Janet - I did not make my spinning class last night and I was disappointed but I had some errands to run and had to have a talk with hubby and decided that the best time to do that was when Micahel was in karate - the time I had planned on running my errands. I am just sp physically and emotional drained with his problems and am trying to get it through his thick skull - don't know it I made any progress. Something has to change and I am hoping he will go into rehab. In the meantime my exercise classes are my outlet and I truly need that time. Yesterday my shoulders and neck were so tight but after boot camp they felt so much better.

Kelly - you do need to get you butt back into cures and get yourself involved in some other activities and take a club to that evil one and tell him that you are in control. I do know about time going by - can't beleive it is going to be February in a couple of days. If you do not have hard taxes you would be able to do it yourself with tubo tax - it walks you through step by step - really very easy.

Last weeks defeat is a gateway to many victories.

Lord - grant me the Serinity to accept the things I can not change, the Courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the differance.

Dorothy~I'd say have fun at boot camp and spinning, but to me that just seems so contradictory! LOL

Christina~Hugs! Hugs! Hugs! I've realized today that I've been sucking down M&M's like crazy and didn't realize it. Another "don't bring in the house" item.

Kelly~You are right about that being a ploy of the enemy. So sneaky that one.

Started our day out at the eye doctor as my dad and Isaac had appointments. Isaac did great for his first time going through all of that and thankfully no issues with his eyes other than the typical childhood farsightedness that he should have. My dad had a good report too. Not much change in his vision and no change at all for his macular degeneration. After we dropped dad back home we headed to McD's for lunch as it was almost noon and we still needed to go shopping for socks and hair clips. Isaac was so upset that he could not find green socks. LOL The hair clips... Maegann needed a few new ones as things have been breaking and I do want her to pull her hair back. Finally got home about 1:45 and I was so tired of being gone. I had one load of laundry in the dryer and another needing to go in the washer. Tonight after dinner I read through the pages needed for bible study tomorrow night and now I'm ready to just be done.

Tomorrow... gym, school, piano lesson and bible study. I also need to call the Speech Therapist back as she left a message while I was gone and when I phoned back she was already gone. Hoping we are scheduling Isaac's evaluation!

O wow...I'm missing you ladies!! I'm not exactly busy, just lazy I think. My days seem to be speeding by and I lay in bed thinking I really haven't done anything worthy that day. I know its an enemy ploy to make me feel that way and emotions are NOT our friend!! lol
Heather I can't imagine moving to an country. Switz sounds EXCITING!! I like Jan Brett kid books and I think hers are illustrated about there. Seems to always be winter and lots of trolls. LOLSo when I picture your family, I will think you are wearing woolie boots out playing with moose and chasing trolls into wonderland adventures!....and Yoddling wearing braids! (Swiss Miss hot chocolate)
Janet Thats the sweet worship moments I crave!! I am not even near done with tax stuff....I need to call for appt. I hate thinking of trying to do it myself although I'm here all day it would save me $80 filling charge to the account guy. I'm always afraid I'll miss something, but we are very simple.
CHRISTINA Hang in there lady!!! We love you....even if you aren't feeling the love right now. Its so hard to get back in the healthy mind set when it feels like your sleeping in a manure pit!! I know the place o too well. and then the frustration of letting it happen AGAIN. UGH but.....you are on the right road, keep trudging onward!! Swipe the muck out of your face and smile through the stink, God got this!!
Doro its so gray and ugly. I was spinning today too, but it was in the van coming back up my luge of a driveway on ice. hehe. I am back into curves and NEED to go, I would like to spend a few hours there but no one to keep Liv and Tim would flip it I did. good for you on the meetings, it can't hurt any, but I have NO IDEA how you squeeze them into your busy sched.
Janine chaffing isn't fun. When I hike, wearing the biker style shorts helped. If I wore loose fitting pants that didn't fit up to my crotch, OUCH! Being in the wilderness with that issue when peeing the woods proved to be NOT good!! LOL High five for effort, dont give up!
Cynd Thats awesome to get that kind of DEAL!! I love those moments! You are doing great on the bikes. I never really liked it from the time I was little and my kids cant ride yet. We live on rocks/stones. Even the parks are covered in sticks and duck crap. I can find any excuse NOT to ride a bike. Tim was the opposite and wants to get bikes OUCH. lol

Christina - emoticon It is hard to stay on the straight and norrow. I have found that alot of my eating is not so much from stress as it is from tiredness. When I am trying to stay awake. But you have had a stressfull time of it with health and teenage problems. You will figure it all out.

Janet - we are suppose to be in the 50's today and tomorrow and then back to the 20's with rain and or snow everyday. What a sloppy mess. Good luck with the "boys" eye exams.

Boot camp and spinning for me tonight and karate for Micahel.

Good Morning!

I went back and caught up with you all last night then I fell asleep before I could type.

Janet I totally see how that emotion could sneek up! My small group that meets on Wed nights is a group of us who have adopted. Sending you hugs! We have been having lots of birth-family conversations in our house lately! They are healthy conversations but that doesnt make them any less painful on either side.

Heather ~ WOW I am praying for your big decisions. May you and hubby hear the call and follow.

I am really struggling with poor eating! I'm not sure why. I am eating when Im not hungry. This is my confession! Hopefully putting it out there will b ring me some acountability. I have lots of terrible thinking going on in my head. since I started having all these health issues last summer I just gave up on trying to be healthy. I have got to turn this around!

Cynedra~Your bike ride sounds wonderful. Probably more than it normally would as we’re still fighting ice and snow!

Dorothy~Sounds like our weather today. Thankfully the temps have gone up to the 30/40 range so it is melting. However, it is snowing tonight so who knows what the morning will bring.

Co-op went well today and our pancake breakfast (a fundraiser) was successful. The teens are really bonding as a group this year which is fun to watch. (They did the setup, cleanup and cooking!) 4th hour ran long so I didn’t get away until almost 3 today. Had to go pick Maegann up afterwards and then did some banking errands that were on the same end of town. Saving time for tomorrow!

Tomorrow morning my dad and Isaac have eye exams. This will be Isaac’s first one so am curious how it will go! He did tell us tonight that he is nervous and excited about it.
