It is several years old. I do not see a model name on it. It has body fat %, lean mass, and weight. It can be programmed for 2 people and has a guest setting so others can use it too. You enter your age, sex, and height. I hope that helps.

Sonya: Thanks for replying to my inquiry. I appreciate it!
Which model of Tanita scale do you own? That brand is on my wish list but there are many different model numbers, each offers more features. Thanks for your input!

Mine is made by Tanita. I had a free (normally expensive) demo given to me at the gym because they have this elaborate one and wanted me to pay to use it once a month.... mine was within a half a percent of theirs and the difference in pounds was exactly one. It was not an expensive scale but it seems reliable.

Sorry I can't help at all. I only have an inexpensive weight scale, and my Wii fit game.

We are in the market for a new body fat scale. Our current scale was a wedding gift 8 years ago. It was an okay model at the time but we know there are better, more accurate options on the market now.

So, I began to do my research and reading a lot about what's out there for the home market. It looks like the most recommended aren't even available for home use. The fitness centers and professional trainers must pay $1000s for these models. We just aren't going to put out that much money for a home scale.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a body fat scale that they have and like/seems accurate? Or, on the flip side, if you have one that you would not recommend. Any information you can share is appreciated!

I've been looking at these makes/models:
Body Fat & Body Water Monitor with BMI Scale by Taylor
(As recommended by the Biggest Loser show; one model sports the Biggest Loser logo.)
Fitscan Full Body Composition Scale by Tanita
WiFi Body Scale by Withings
(seen advertised on SparkPeople.com quite often)

Thanks!
