It is so therapeutic to me having to give an account of my sodium intake. I have decreased my consumption over the past 13 days. It is so much better. I now am beginning to get the real taste of my food without salt. It really is not bad.

Wow, I am surprized how well you can reduce the sodium, when you really challenge yourself. I am a little higher today due to a Bento Box lunch (880mg), but still under 2200mg!!!!

My sodium intake that I made for myself is 1800 mg. I will be going to the doctor on Tuesday and I will ask him what a good range is for me.

I have had a very busy week and have been thrown out of my comfort zone and safe haven. This will be all over on Sunday. I will be so glad to be back into my routine.

Been preoccupied for a little while, and thought I'd ought to check in. I relaxed my sodium limit a little for the cooler weather when my edema's not as severe. I was getting dehydrated. I am retaining some water now, and have gained 5 pounds, though, so I guess it's time to be more careful again.

Only 610 today, but it was about 1400 yesterday. Warmer weather makes my edema worse, and I need to be more strict. Have been working on this for over 35 years. A new study just said too low may be problematic, too.

I am still in the 2000-3000 and really struggling to keep it down. I try not to season with salt and I look for the salt free foods, but I am still finding this a hard adjustment. Eating out, marinades, cheese, and salsas and so many other things that have been staples in our cooking are way to high in sodium. I know I will get there, I am still learning!
