This is the only other team for low sodium and I can not figure out whow is leading it (hope it's not me because if it is I've been neglecting my duties. Here is what I send my team. I sincerey hope I am not invading someone elses territory. IF I am I'm sorry, and that comes from the heart.
Have any of you had a chance to look at my cookbooks. I am trying to give each section eg. poultry, soups etc a separtate area for the low sodium recipes in that category. It't been a long haul but I am getting there.
I am also trying to start a crockppot forum (it already exists and I was fortunate enough to be asked to co host that one. I'm hoping to flag low sodium recipes in that as well.
Finally, has anyone had a chance to look at Dick Louges website. I mentined it an eariler post. He was restricted to a low so sodium due to health and has very valuable information. It' well worth looking into.
Finally, there are entire books (eg everything low sodium) that are totally devoted to making things low sodium while still keeping or even enhanCing the flavour. I'VE been doing this long enough I don't really need the books any more. I have them for recipes I really like. I have actually cut down on my books from 200 to about 125 thanks to Spark People.
MY CHALLENGE TO ALL IS TO HELP PEOPLE WITH FAVOURITE RECIPED LOWER THE SODIUM.
I'm always here for substitution ideas etc. bug lets all get involved. Submit or let everuone know about a recipe on the system, that you enjoy but need to adjust the sodium. I'm going to ask the other sodium teams If they would like to do the same, or at least get their input.
