New instructor in Spinning class: he had us doing different 'Stages' of the Tour de France. Last night, 35 minutes of 'time trials'. I managed to maintain 104rpm for 4 minutes.

Spent 10 hours judging a major high school debate tournament. LOTS of walking, and climbing stairs. Very little healthy food, ate fruit and salads. Legs are screaming sore - Rest day today.

Spent most of the afternoon in the Dr's office. Vitals look good. He said my weight loss was good, BUT, in order to make a knee replacement beneficial, he would not recommend one until I was between 200-215 lbs. Right now that's about 12 more pounds to go to 215. He told me to stay off using free weights and the weight machines for any lower body exercise. Just use bodyweight workouts. Only use the weight machines for upper body. Then he gave me a script for two new pain killers. He also encouraged me to get active in a water aerobics class.

Yesterday was an off day for me sparkwise, but I did make myself get on the bike last night. Between unemployment, taxes and social security I have a lot going on right now, plus toss in a wwife that really depends on me.

Taught yesterday. For some reason there was so much 'stuff' going on, I was doing a lot of walking around the campus trying to get forms signed, tell the campus bookstore to discontinue a textbook, etc. etc. By the time I made it to the gym, my knee was begging to be put out of its misery. I was unable to work out.
BUT, I did remember to turn on my cell phone's pedometer that morning. I put in 2.7 miles just on campus. I'll take that!

I restarted my exercise program after falling off for a few days, but I did the workout even better than before. As for nutrition, I was a little over because I finished off that bag of delicious breakfast sugar named Captain Crunch Berries. But overall I think I landed on the good side.

Working on becoming Goku, from the series Dragon Ball Z (cosplay).

a foot of snow with high winds...street wasn't plowed...no way that i could get to the gym....did do a 24 minute pilates dvd and 12 minutes of yoga....hopefully back to the gym tomorrow...

30 minutes swimming with water workout exercises. The water aerobics instructor was doing lifeguard duty. When I finished, she told me I was definitely much further along than the class. Nice. She recommended I join the adult Lap Swimming class. I'll check it out.

I slipped up today, but still kept my intake within range. I have been putting off a workout since yesterday, but I definitely, definitely will do it tomorrow.

Yesterday was day 2 of 30 minutes of lap swimming combined with water aerobics. Totally exhausted, but I felt great. My knee did not bother me the rest of the day, this has been the best total body exercise for my knee. I slept almost 8 hours last night.

Not sure about today's workout. About 3 minutes in and needing to take it easy already. Dang knee. Food choices we high in cal, but good otherwise.
