I don't do any smoking. So I really don't have any suggestions. I would say try leaner cuts of meat, but I don't know if that would be possible with the process?!
I would just make sure you plan ahead and have a reasonable portion. Everything in moderation!

Anybody in here cook on a smoker? I like to cook briskets, ribs, pork shoulders, etc but it seems that these might not be some of the healthiest cuts of meat.
Have smoked some fish with mixed results, and I tend to think that fish is better grilled.
What do you guys do for healthier choices of meats/meals?
