I just read a pretty interesting article on here about alcohol. The last page has the calories in a bunch of different drinks. The link is- http://sparkpeople.com/resource/Nutrition_articles.asp?id=563&page=1
or you can just search articles for alcohol. I'm pretty sure it's the first one that comes up.

Typically the general rule is clear alcohol is always best. I've always been a huge fan of vodka but I LOVE Jameson. If your going to drink a colored alcohol its best to drink it with diet soda or some other zero/low calorie drink so your not getting quite as much sugar and calories.

I second the vodka -- it's the lowest in calories. Mix with a splash of midori or lime juice, over ice. Very nummy.

I tend to mix with juice rather than soda pop. Pop makes me feel like I am still a little kid trying to hide the flavour of the alcohol...but I LIKE the flavour! LOL!!

I'm a Morgan and Diet Coke girl myself. The places I go to serve mostly Morgan with a splash of Diet.. I don't mind diet though.
Beer and Juicy drinks are high in all things bad for a diet... plus beer makes you BLOATED.
I'd stick with Jack and Diet... I think if anything you'd get used to it.. maybe... hopefully...

That sounds awesome...but I don't think that any bars I go to...or even know of....have the option of sugar free juice....or any jello shots! =(
I really love jello shots though....I'll definately have to keep that in mind for any parties or anything....

Hmmm well I seem to have this problem too so here's what I have been doing. Shots with diet chasers or like Vodka with sugar free juice chasers or how about sugarfree Jello shots? I find with shots I can get drunk quicker and its alot better on my totals.

Ginger Ale might be a good alternative with Jack. It seems to have less sugar. Coke and Pepsi do seem to be worse for you than other drinks, though that might be a perception thing.
I think as long as you don't over do the soft drinks and account for them with your calorie intake you should be able to have a few drinks on occasion as long as you don't overdo it.
Also, have you tried drinking hard cider? I love hard cider.

I am having a huge problem with the whole drinking thing!
I always take time for lots of water during and after a night of drinking anyway, but I'm not sure what I should drink.
My poison of choice is definately Jack and Coke...and I know that the coke alone has SO many calories. I know diet is better, but I absolutely hate it! I also don't like beer...and too much wine gives me a horrible headache.
Is there anything I could mix with that would be better? Or should I just give the Diet Coke a try?
