Ha - totally agree with the Ministry/Lard. It was the first thing I thought of when I considered workout type music. Static X crossed my mind too.

Hi. I'm new.

I can usually get down with anything by X, or the Knitters, The Clash, Rev. Horton Heat. If I really want to work out fast & hard there is nothing better than Ministry or Lard!!!
Who knew Lard woud be so good for exercise...Hahahahaaaaa!!!!!

Lately it depends on what I'm doing. If I'm running on the treadmill it's usually XP8, anything from Hrs:Min:Sec. I find that I can run in perfect time with the beat regardless of my pace.

For other stuff like cardio or weights it's a mix of any 80-90's metal, Bella Morte, Dope Stars Inc, T3chnophob1a, Ministry, Type O Neg, Edenyzed, Paradise Lost, Rammstein, etc.

I just came across, jogtunes.com - it sorts out music by genre and beats per minute, and links them to iTunes. Love it! Sometimes their genre sorter is a little weird, but they also have a "search by artist" function if you're looking for somethign in particular.

Curretnly I have Coheed and Cambria, The Used, My Chemical Romance, Disturbed, and Black Sabbath in my mp3 player.

Course the bands tend to change frequently (mostly on my mood and what I want to listen to that particular week). Last week I listened to Killswitch Engage, Lucuna Coil, Lamb of God, Cradle of Filth, Demon Hunter...basically an old Headbangers Ball CD...while running.

Next week...who knows?

Ah, this thread is great. Giving me a lot of good ideas!

I have a pretty big playlist that I'll cycle through when I work out. It seems to be pretty heavily populated by female-fronted groups (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Gossip, Bikini Kill, Sleater Kinney, X-Ray Spex, Metric) and cheesy 80s and 90s stuff (Frankie Goes to Hollywood, MC Hammer).

Today, my MP3 player seemed to know what I wanted: started w/ Anti-Flag's Rank n File (From the Warped comp), then all of AFI's Very Proud of Ya ,(since it plays them alphabetically and as entire CDs), and Tired at 20 by Tsunami Bomb and Bloody Romance by Senses Fail (from another Warped comp). Good music for a run! I was able to get 10 minutes of running in today thanks to the fast beat of the music. Yessss! emoticon

You can make a piņata in the form of a politician or monstrosity (such as the free market, the loyal officer, etc.) and have a piņata party at which, when sufficiently beaten, the piņata spills out party favors such as candies, little books, or invitations to the next special event. Try doing this in a public place during times of unrest.
