Hey, that's good thinking, Alice Jo! Of courese I'm rewarding myself with a haircut (for Feb's reward) and a pedicure (for March), so all I have to do is look in the mirror or look at my ugly feets!

CSWLOSE70 - If you haven't already, go to the March Mini-Goals thread and post exactly what you want to accomplish, and how, specifically, you will do this. Then say what you're going to reward yourself with. You could even break it down week-by-week if you think that would help. Good luck!

What's really fun is going to the store and staring at the handbag you have picked out for your first reward for about 15 minutes before going out to dinner. It may not be much, but I managed to keep my portion size reasonable. For a human being, not an elephant.

Goalsies:
160 - new handbag
150 - new tattoo, botanical print.
140 - new pants. Nice ones not just cheapies from Target.
130 - Two or three new outfits including shoes. Mmmm...shoes...

I like some of the goals with awards that you set for yourself. That's a great idea...maybe that's what I am missing...the little motivations of awarding myself something. Just coming off a terrible weekend of too much pizza and lack of cardio! I think I need some mini motivators like that!

Keeping a weight loss journal and doing mini challanges is a really great way to keep yourself on track, too. And, oh, those visual motivators work like a charm. What's tough is figuring out what works for you. There are tons of SP quizzes you can take (I think they're in the resource center) that help tell you what your eating triggers are, what type of exercise is going to work best for you, etc... It's a good place to start, anyway.

Hey! If you haven't already, search for a local sparkteam - maybe you can find a workout buddy! Also, if you have a set 9-5 job, make sure you take your workout stuff with you so you can do it BEFORE you come home and get on the 'puter! Of course you may be a student, or self-employed, or not work at all, but the same principle applies! Get yourself a schedule!

NEED HELP STAYING ON TRACK ---- ARGH
Ok so I am motivated once I am on SparkPeople. But I find myself losing time on the computer when I could be out there exercising. I just moved to a new city but dont have any new friends to help me in person. Could everyone do me a favor, when you see me online would you please tell me to get off the computer and go exercise?

Either sparkmail me, email me at recycled_treasures@yahoo.com or sdfitforlife@hotmail.com. Or if on messenger and I am online my id is losingweightsd (cancelling this one soon) or recycled_treasures.

if there is anyone in San Diego who needs some accountability like me, let me know, I'd love to meet, chat, phone, etc.

Thanks so much

Kat
