I missed my weight goal by 2 lbs. Saturday morning, I weighed in at 135...I was pretty happy to see that I'm down 7lbs since joining.

I don't get the reward that I set for myself -- new jeans. I will wait 'til I hit 133 as planned. It shouldn't take long if I keep up the good work.

Well, I managed to lose 6.5 lbs. through march...I was shooting for 8, so I don't get my pedicure, but considering I had such a rough first 2-3 weeks, I did really well. Next time I should be more flexible with my goal!

well, I'm done with steps today & won't be exercising tomorrow as Saturday is "off" day...so here goes.

1 - I got at least 8500 steps 9 times in March, woohoo! Most of those I hit 10000.
2 - failed to use treadmill...I still don't have a good pair of running shoes. I jogged laps barefoot around my apartment though. My cats think I'm insane.

It's nearing the end so be sure to post up after the 31st as to how you did! And don't forget, just b/c maybe you didn't get your "goal" weight (if that was a goal), it's still great progress if you started some good habits and stuck to them!

I'm not sure if I'm going to make my goals for the month. I'm stuck at 136.5lbs, and wanted to reach 133. I've been really good at planning meals, and have been sticking to my plan...maybe if I'm really good this weekend (and don't have too many drinks), I'll get close to my weight goal.

Well I have been yo-yoing big time in March, so I DOUBT SERIOUSLY that I will make my goal, though I am down 4 lbs from last week to 199, and am getting back on track with eating better. I usually only weigh on Tuesdays but will probably weigh on the 31st just to see. (I could cheat and use my roomate's scale - which I think weighs me lighter - so I can get that pedicure!)

Good luck to you! And unless you just feel overloaded keeping track of your progress at both places, I see no reason why your points earned and hard work shouldn't be a "goal!"

I didn't go to the gym Tues, my official weigh-in date (went for a long walk instead). I am anxious to see what my goal is tomorrow. According to the scale at home I should easily make the end-of-month objective I set for myself, but I am sure it's off by a few. It's been kind of a hard month, but I've at least managed to stay within my range and work out regularly. It's pretty crazy to put on my summer capris and have them be really big on me!

Hey everyone
I have started a fitness challenge at my school this week. Instead of making a goal for it, I decided I would try working as hard as I can to earn points for my team and just see where I end up in terms of weight loss. So, I wont be weighing in for the rest of March. Good luck to everyone though on their March goals. I will be checking back.

Hey ladies (and gents?), I know it's half way through March, but I still wanna set some mini goals for myself this month.

1) Get into 130s by the end of the month.
2) Work out at least 4 times/week.
3) Keep calories around 1,400 each day.

There, now wish me luck!

I started turning the A/C on & running laps around my apartment for 20-25 minutes when I get home. ha! It seems to be doing nice things to my butt. I just can't get myself excited about running down the street.

Babypop, I know they always say "a calorie is a calorie" as long as you're in your range, but I think the foods do make a difference too. I think your body processes natural foods more efficiently, and I'm guessing that the extra nutrients, fiber, & less sodium helps your body function better & burn fat better. I'm not a nutrition expert but I have noticed a difference when I eat more fruits & veggies than processed foods.

Ides of March!!

I guess I'm doing ok---I'm a bit over 185, and my goal is to get to 180 or below by 3/31----two weeks, might be doable. I just got back from a vacation (of sorts), so I'm glad I didn't gain.

And I've lost a 1/2 inch off my waist---my goal was an inch. We'll see!

So how is anyone doing? It's been a while since we've checked in! I am down 1.5 lb to 201.5 (hey, better than UP a half pound!) I seriously doubt I am going meet my goal of 195, which sucks, b/c I've been staying in my calories and going over my exercise calories.

I am wondering if it's b/c, even though I've been w/in my range, I wasn't making sure to eat enough proteins, fruits, and veggies - too much empty calories from rice cakes, granola bars, etc. Could that make a difference, or is a calorie is a calorie is a calorie?

Well I am really bummed out. Official weigh-in today and I was UP by 1/2 lb., to 203. I don't understand how - I've been in my calorie range every single day, and burning well over my calculated calories in cardio. I'm not doing weights right now either. I was really hoping to be down to 201 this time. It makes 195 seem so unattainable.

My biggest problem is on the weekend so my goal is to stay on track as much as possible on the weekends! March 31 there's a big birthday bash for 2 of my friends with some metal bands playing, and my birthday is only a few days later so Im going to celebrate my bday with my friends there. Ive lost 21 lbs so far, and I want to get as close to 30 as I can by then so that it will really be noticeable!

Hi Everybody,

I just joined the group and will get to the introduction thread later---I've already spent over an hour at SP this morning and have to get my @ss moving!!!

I've been pretty good about meeting my goals thus far... I'd say my mini goals for March are to get to 180 or less, and to lose another inch off of my waist. I've already pre-rewarded myself with a great haircut and color, and new shoes. :-)

nice to find this group,

Well, I feel like I don't want to step it up just yet - I'm finishing my thesis and just getting back on track nutrition-wise, so I would like to just continue to stay in my calorie range each day (1200 on the low end, and 1550 on days I work out), and workout 3x/week for 35 minutes, burning at least 1000 calories per week with that. I will also have 10 cups of H20 daily!!! I am shooting for being 195 by the end of march.

If I reach this goal (195), I am treating myself to a PEDICURE!

I think my goals for the month are to keep the calories under 1600 daily, and get in 12 glasses of water. The water has been a goal all along, but I've been hovering around 9.

I didn't even realize that today started March, its also the start of my Spring break! This is good, I needed to new month badly.

I just joined a fitness challenge team that starts in March. So, I will be kicking my ass this month and earning points for my team and so my goal for March is to drop 8-10lbs. I'm getting a new tattoo once I get out of the 200's, which is my goal for march. Ahh I can't wait.

My goals are kind of repeats of last month, however I am going to be a bit more specific with them.
I am shooting for a weekly average of 5 glasses of water a day, and bringing my lunch to work 4 times per week - allowing myself 1 day per week to eat out. If I can manage that, it should be a vast improvement.
I am giving myself $1 for each day I get in all 8 glasses or bring my lunch because I fight myself so hard on them. However, I don't know what my end reward will be yet.

My goal for the month is to work up from 15 minutes of cardio (which is about how long it takes for my heart to feel like it's going to explode out of my chest!) to 30 minutes of cardio--a minimum of 3 times per week.

1. Stretching -- I have "stretch for 10 minutes a day" as one of my SP Goals, and I rarely get to check it off because I just don't fit it in. I would do it while I'm watching TV, but there's no carpet or rug in the living room, and I don't want to stretch on the wood floor! So I guess I'll have to start forcing myself to do it before I go to bed...

2. Burning more calories -- I think right now I'm averaging 1000 calories/week, and I'd like to bump that up to at least 2000... my goal is in sight, I don't want to hit any plateaus!

I think when I get down to 185 I'm gonna have to reward myself with the Dream Theater hoodie I've been wanting. And a haircut, if I can find the time for it.

1- I'm going to get 8500 steps during work hours, at least once.
2- Go running, or go use the treadmill at least once (I'm avoiding running in public like the plague, but that's just silly and stupid.)

reward...no idea! hmm.

I didn't do that well on my February mini goals, so some are repeated. In March, I want to: 1) Plan all meals & snacks each week; 2) Stretch 10-15 minutes each day; 3) Loose 5 pounds - goal 133lbs.

My reward will be a new pair of jeans...just in time for my birthday!
