Somebody pad locked my fridge and cubbords, and hooked a car battery to my couch. Oh and if someone hooked a twinkie on a stick to me for when I go on walks.

Same here! I don't drink alcohol, but I tend to drink of a lot of sugary drinks, expecially when I'm smoking

Hee. One of my favorite bars put in a patio with a fire pit. It's the best of both worlds!

I am looking to move soon to the city and that makes me sad too....apartment living once again. Dude! My dog is a Border Collie too. Maybe it is a breed thing, cause he is a serious spaz when it comes to all things that move or make noise. He can't stand the weedeater, lawnmower, hose, raindrops, bicycle tires, and now obviously fire.

Wishing for a fire pit... and a yard... I have to do all my drinking the old-fashioned way, in bars.

Ha!! Poor dog!!

Our dog, a border collie, thinks he has to herd all the sparks that rise from a fire, and snaps and bites at them, then runs to drink water. It's so funny!! Poor Zippy.

Glad you had fun!

Yeah, so I totally learned I am not diligent enough to drink water between each drink. I did mix it up with water though, and it seemed to help, with the way I felt the next day also. Oh well, we had fun none the less....also learned that my dog does not like fire and wants to drag the burning sticks around the yard.....I seriously should have took him camping more.

Maybe a bit of dancing around the fire would help as well, yes? Have fun!

AliceJo...I like your way of thinking. Exercise! So my friend called me earlier and left a message that said, "Beer, Beer, Beer, Beer, Beer, oh, and fire." So I'm thinking she wants to hang out tonight and I don't know....maybe drink beer? Anyways, I am definitely trying the water suggestions tonight, hopefully it will also help with the horrid dehydration I deal with the next day.....wish me luck, I will report results tommorrow.... emoticon

Ooohh! I would kill for a fire pit, even if it meant more of a certain sort of beverage. It would also mean I have a fire pit. The trade off is so worth while! And think of all the exercise you'll get hauling wood...

We have a fire pit!! It seems every yard in our small town has one, and summer nights are filled with sitting around the fire enjoying the evening. It's nice...but yes, many beverages to choose from.

I find if I keep my water bottle near me, then I don't automatically reach for another glass of wine or a beer. It helps a bit. Also, instead of just putting out chips, I put out veggies, too.

I can't WAIT for summer!!!

I was doing pretty good, but then I bought a firepit....it's all downhill from there....I see too many nights ahead of gathering, drinking, and fire creating.....

"drunken boyfriends are not as much fun when you're sober, though." - AND HOW!

Calorieking.com probably has some drink calories, or at least the ingredients.

Stupid Sweetie got all sloshed on pisco sours last night and chided me into having one. Pretty tasty. Of course, Spark is seriously lacking in specific alcohol calories, so I've no idea exactly how much I consumed. I do know that drunken boyfriends are not as much fun when you're sober, though.

I've been trying to avoid alcohol unless it's free. Save money and calories. Of course, there's an even with three hours of open bar tomorrow night, so I'll try to keep it under control. :)

ah, yes, and then the resulting hangover bloat on Sunday & Monday just makes me feel like eating more. I think I'm backwards.

I've cut back a lot, my boyfriend was getting really bad with el boozo (like, a gallon and a half of tequila a week!) so we got rid of all of the alcohol. I had already been drinking less because of the calories, now I just don't really drink. And zomg, he is getting probably 1000 less calories a day and dropping pounds like crazy! emoticon

I still order a drink or two if we go out, it's actually more fun than getting pass-out-sloshed every weekend. I remember finding out how any calories were in what I was usually drinking 3-4 of a night and freaking out. Why do the alcohol gods hate us?!

Over the summer I chilled out on drinking as much as I could and my weight loss efforts were much better than they are now with my drinking. Its true, it helps a lot. But, its hard to get away from alcohol. :(

I am definitely going to try the water thing next time, although I drank alot of water this last time for pure hiccup reasons.....blah. Wacky Tabacky....ha, yeah I live by a convenience store, and there is always delivery, drinking sometimes gives me the munchies too. The other night I almost ordered TWO orders of cinnastix between me and a friend just so we could meet the 10 dollar delivery fee. Thankfully I talked myself out of that one....I would have felt so terrible when I sobered up.....I think I am going to not drink for a minute....my hangover yesterday was killer....I am getting way too old for this......I think I am going back to my slow, wine drinking phase.....

Yes - and I gave up drinking for a while b/c of the calories among many things.

Smoking the wacky tabakky is no calories, unless, of course, you're in walking distance to a White Castle.

Hee hee!!

I'm chuckling because I drink more on the weekends, too, sometimes.

I guess the key is factoring that in. Counting the calories, adding extra exercise, remembering that all the food (or DRINK) that goes in matters to me, and I want to feel good about myself on Monday morning.

One thing that helps me is having a full glass of water between alcoholic drinks, and not a chug-chug glass of water, but a slowly savored glass of sips of water...it lasts longer, I'm still having fun, and I drink less alcohol.

Any other ideas?

God, I'm in the same position. I've been great with exercise and staying with an eating plan, but the weekends show up.

I'm not sure if it's something I want to give up, either.
