even though it's getting cold, you should still get out for a brisk walk. just wrap up! the cold air is really good for your respiration. Interchange your walk with a short jog and then back to walking. make sure to feel the movement in your hips when you do so. this movement tightens the abs. also, pilates is a great core-strength training exercise which has created a MASSIVE difference to my flabby tummy! or Yogalates...which is a interbred form of yoga and pilates. you can usually get really cheap DVD's on Amazon and other websites. I would recommend AM - PM yoga with Rodney Yee for a good beginngers.
It''s only when you have let go of everything that you are free to do anything.

i know how you feel about your tummy, i carry all of my wieght in my abdomen too... my stomach is still kinda mushy, but i have gotten it flat by doing ab exersizes for about 15 minutes 2-3 times a week and the most important part is cardio which i do about 5 times a week. the ab work is to help tone it up, but if you don't do cardio to burn away the pudge, you will never see the tone! i spent 3 years in chicago so i know all too well how chicago winters are so my best suggestion would be go to the gym and swim or use one of the cardio machines (i prefer elliptical) for 30-40 minutes 5 times a week or 45-60 minutes 3 times a week. every time i have tried to lose wieght i flattened my tummy using this system. good luck and congrats on the 2 dress sizes!
Hey there girl! glad that you can make it over :) when you set up your exercise/diet program it should give ya some awsome exercise routines. glad to have ya here :) your already on a roll, two dress sizes is a great start!
I was referred to you ladies by a great girl on Punkrock Domestics (my name on there is Mishe). Since I was always asking about exercise. I've lost 2 dress sizes since I started working out in late September/early October. I've cut my calorie count to half (approx. 1000 or less) and I've started some major cardio/brisk walking 3 - 4 times a week, including some in-home exercising. However, I've learned that my problem spot is my tummy. I can't get rid of it and it driving me nuts. So, I need help!! All the extra help and tips I can get. I don't currently belong to a gym and is getting too cold in Chicago to really go out and do anything physical, at least not until spring gets here. Again, any tips and help I can get would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!
