I like it too, but I'm still pretty critical of it.
I'm disappointed that the writers forgot to make the main female character (I think her name is Lori; the main guy's wife) in any way likable. I want to stab her in the eye. Why won't the zombies just eat HER?
I am a big fan of this comic (as well as zombie, and othe horror movies/stuff in general), and have been trying REALLY hard to get into the show. It just isn't working for me, though. I am having a problem with the extra crap they are adding in here & there, that makes no sense, is needless deviation, and doesn't really strenghten the plot. The first episode was FANTASTIC- the ones since then have been completely hit or miss. To me, it is more like a mild soap opera like drama with zombies thrown in there every now & again. HELLO- YOU ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A FRIGGEN ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE- One would think that is a source enough for drama, and that tons of human to human drama would take the back seat. To me, it just seems like they are focusing on the conflicts between the living & the living with just a little zombie stuff every now and again, and it should be the opposite of that. I will keep watching it, hoping they go back to the roots of the comics... it still has potential. All in all, though, I would have to say I am kind of disappointed.
