Tip:

A good smoothie can help you make it through the slump of the mid-afternoon.

My daughter and I tried the Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie in the recipe section here...I wasn't sure I'd like the taste of peanut butter in a drink, but it was delicious! Anyone have any fave smoothie recipes to share?

Yeah, I'm glad you found a cheap scale! I guess in Europe people do most of their cooking with a scale instead of measuring cups. I got one for Christmas two years ago...my sister gave me a Nigella Lawson cookbook, and most of the amounts are in weights, not cups or tablespoons, so she threw in a cheap scale as well. Fun gift! I've sure used it a lot.

i cant drink water too fast if its cold, i drink it if its just nice and cool, i can throw down 3 glasses at a time after a workout, big glasses too. i find if its too cold its harder to get down as fast. i used to hate water but now i love the stuff, i always make sure i have a bottle with me if i go anywhere.

OOOO body wraps sound nice. I haven't ever given it much thought..What makes it work? Seems to good to be true, but if they are expensive theres the why :p

Cowpunk.
I have been kicking ass on the water. I can only drink it if is super cold and that helps the whole heartburn thing. I started to measure my food and I couldn't believe how much a cup actually is, either that or I have a huge measuring cup :p The scales are super cheap to, or the one I got. Totally worth the investment.

I was given a kitchen scale for Christmas last year, and it really helped me with portion control. My family mocked me for measuring out my food when I was starting here on SparkPeople, but it helped me to see how huge my portions were, and what an actual portion looked like.

Kitchen scales are awesome! I use it more often than I do a weigh scale...I'd rather weigh my food than myself. Ha! Buy yourself a kitchen scale for Christmas and give it to yourself as a gift, you won't regret it! emoticon

I couldn't drink a full glass of water to save my life. I started carrying an insulated water bottle and just take sips whenever I want one, and I drink over 8 glasses of water a day now...one little sip at a time. I don't feel water-logged or gross anymore, which I used to when I tried to knock back 8 oz. at once.

When money permits itself. I'm going to do body wraps on top of my program.

I did one after I had my son, and just after the 1 I did do, I lost 14 inches (all together) and 3lbs that day!!! And you keep losing it for a few days later, the lady recommended doing them 2 times a week, but they're expensive and that's ridiculous. Maybe once or twice a month. If I have money. I hate being broke. Grr...

I do it on my own upping the resistance on an elliptical so it's pretty easy if you are doing it on a machine to alter yourself

Good idea,
They give me heartburn but I feel waterlogged if I drink water all day. Which btw gives me heartburn (a gift that has stayed with me since pregnancy). I do the crystal light raspberry tea, and the decaf sugar free lemon tea..
Another thing I have noticed ha helped is bringing an insulated water bottle to work..I take it with my on my breaks, and when I am about to put in that bill for a diet soda I go cheap and fill up the bottle...
