My strategy is: if it makes me sweat or leaves me sore, I count it as exercise. Read into that what you will... :)

So, the past, ok well starting today actually...I've added my time doing household cleaning chores as fitness minutes. It was interesting to me that raking the leaves burned 515 calories, and vacuuming 300. I watched a program on weightloss on tv a while back, and the guy said that anything we do that moves our bodies is a form of exercise. I'm going to start tracking the things I have to do on a regular basis anyway as exercise, not just the walking that I have to do because I don't have a car. Mowing the lawn, raking leaves, cleaning my house...it all burns calories, why not count it?
