Hands down, the most intense get-up-and-MOVE song for me is AFI's "Totalimmortal." Other faves are The Necromantix's "I'm Alive," VNV Nation's "Beloved," and the entire "Cex Cells" Blaqk Audio album. emoticon

I have to agree with the flogging molly...it makes me run so fast. But I also like to run to remixes of Delerium songs. So FM may make me run fast, but Delerium's Heaven's Earth (Matt Darey remix) makes me sprint at a 4-5 min/mile pace:]

Nothing like Ramstein (especially Links, Mutter and that song from XXX's intro) to get you to finish the last 4 minutes of a serious, very long and very tiring run - you might even start sprinting home

ooh and the Hives, the Vines and the Killers --- keeps me going when I wanna give up

JESERF - really nice choices for oi! songs. I would have probably put in Take 'em all from CockSparrer.

You can make a piņata in the form of a politician or monstrosity (such as the free market, the loyal officer, etc.) and have a piņata party at which, when sufficiently beaten, the piņata spills out party favors such as candies, little books, or invitations to the next special event. Try doing this in a public place during times of unrest.

Bleed It Out (Linkin Park)
Bodies (Drowning Pool)

Ooh, and Bad Reputation - Reverend Horton Heat. Love it! And being a U2 lover, I gotta add in Where The Streets Have No Name as my 'Theme Song'. I love my workout list!

i think that we should each make a 'GET UP AND GO' mix mp3 list and somehow exchange them...

that would be the ultimate motivation wouldn't it?!

and I agree MCR are great to run to...

I've also found out that I quite like to warm down to:
Iron and Wine
NIck Drake
Billie Holiday
Joni Mitchell

good thread! and I love "mono". Basically, I love anything that can dig deep into my emotions. I tend to get going with "faint" by linkin park especially. A fun song that works is MCR's "I'm not okay." Also, many songs by AFI, Billy Talent, or psycho/rockabilly stuff. Some stuff by the used and from autumn to ashes. My list is lengthy...

there's nothing wrong with a bit of cheese metal. Sometimes you just need that little bit of cheese to make yourself smile and push on through those extra reps!

Mine are:

Fire it Up by Black Label Society
any thing by Thunderbrew and Bullistic!! They make me push just that little bit more.

I've just received my Nike+ iPOD running tracker through the post and it lets you play a POWER SONG when you are flagging and need a boost in your exercise!

What is your POWERSONG?

Mine would have to be Mono by Courtney Love
Five KIds Go by Hell is for Heroes
or
anything by Queen!
