Alcohol seems to be my other big dieting downfall this time of year with all the holiday parties and such. I usually stick with wine anyway, it seems like the best option if you are trying to behave yourself.
Okay, I'll bite. One of my big issues is this time of year my workplace gets overloaded with a ton of chocolate. I'm not especially tempted by other types of candy, but I do love chocolate. So I feel like I need to make an extra strong effort to combat the temptation to go astray the next few weeks.
My goals will be:
- Go to the gym 4 days a week. - Limit myself to one piece of chocolate a day - Keep my kitchen free of unhealthy food. - Limit alcohol consumption to 2 days a week and alternate drinks with water.
Advent technically starts on December 2nd, but we can consider it early for our purposes, beginning December 1 and lasting through the Feast of the Epiphany on January 6. That should hopefully get us through Christmas Day and New Year overeating, and put us well on our way to our 2008 goals.
Unlike past challenges, I'm not going to bother posting daily challenges.
Instead, try to come up with a few dedicated goals for yourself, determine the frequency (if cooking, working out, etc) and post them, then follow through by checking in.
Though this is a challenge associated with a Christian holiday, rest-assured that it is non-religious in nature and is open to everyone, Christian, atheist, and otherwise!
