Don't know about 8 glasses of water per day. I was told to slow way down on my water intake. I go overboard. When I drink water and that's all day long, I don't stop at a glass, its more like a quart at a time, down the hatch. I don't have diabetes, but often wonder why I drink so much water. Its good for you. I drink ONLY water when I eat a meal. Rather have cold clear water to drink than anything else. Your body needs the water. Read an artical where a girl drank soda for about 16 years straight and now her heart is in 'serious' trouble' and no reverse. Body needs water, plain water to survive.
