Hello! Well the sun is shining, snow is gone, and I've been reading about paleo diets and the Whole 30 and such. Pinterest is such a lovely place! :P I've been eating real healthy today (while the guys are gone). Had sweet potatoes, onions, kale, red peppers and tomato with scrambled eggs, and I'm munching frozen fruit chunks each trip through the kitchen. My niece brought me a kombucha scoby, so I've been drinking my first batch for a couple days. Feels great to be taking care of me.
Also back working on my bedroom. Got 2 walls free of wallpaper glue and spackled, so I'm off to put a primer on before switching to latex paint. Progress is slow, but moving forward!

(Boy, everytime I leave for a few months this site changes! lol)

Hello! Life's been too busy with work and learning new things-- mostly at a desk. :P But I love the challenge and growth!

Winter has just been hanging on here for so long! We've had like 3 gorgeous spring days the last month, followed by 6 or more inches of snow the next day. Finally, I hope, we're going to get some spring weather and melt some of the 6 feet of snow this week. Yesterday was gorgeous and I got to go for a walk with my friend on our old route. Felt good, and we really needed the chat time, too.

woops--I lost my momentum this week. Just too much to do, rain, company and deskwork--but I got our taxes filed, so that's a good feeling.

Putting sweet, slightly suggestive notes for him to find is something I've always done--not every day or even every week, but every once in a while. If I got a good fortune (something a little flirty) in a fortune cookie, I would save it and tape it to his sandwich bag after he'd packed his lunch. Just something to make him smile and think of me.

I've bought cards and left them under his pillow to find when I went away to a retreat, conference, or just to visit my mother and I've put them into his suitcase to find when he's gone away with the men.

Congratulations! We're hitting 24 yrs. We've forgotten how to play, so I'm working on that aspect. We currently work, have dinner, sit down for a couple shows and head to bed. It's very helpful to see how others add fun to their marriages. They're making me smile and feel silly already. Dh is going to think I've gone crazy. lol Just put some silly Valentine-y love notes in his overnight bag for while he's gone. :)

Any other silly/fun ideas?? emoticon (I was sure we had an ''all ears'' emoticon...)

We're over 0 again. Yeah!

Well I did the 2 mi WATP twice this week and have done a bit better on eating this week. It's a start!

We're having a superbowl party tomorrow--a guy friend at church told me we needed to have one-- so we're busy cleaning today. Though I have been reading christian marriage blogs and finding some fun ideas to have fun with dh this month. There's even one with a calendar with daily ideas. Should be a fun month! lol Now I just have to do my part and get exercising, etc so I feel attractive. Helps the mood, no? :P

It's really cold here today, although sunny. I can't seem to get warm...going to sip some hot water.

My desktop isn't't letting me spin the wheel, it's frustrating. I am doing my best to check in daily. Have to make myself accountable!

Say, how do you like the busy start page these days? I kind of like having all that on there. Love the pictograms of articles; easier than just searching.

The ankle probably would have healed faster if I'd know how to take care of it; however, I think I may have made it worse before getting to PT. I still have little twinges of pain but not the burning sensation like before.

Day two of walking up the back road...now I'm really sore (but it's the good kind of sore).

Last April, DH and I were pruning trees and hauling the limbs to a burn pile. Most of the work was on a hillside and I guess I messed up a tendon in my ankle. I didn't do anything about it for a couple of months and finally went to the doctor and was referred for physical therapy. I learned that the tendon was supposed to ride in a groove in the ankle bone and it was "jumping" across it rather than sliding through it. I had to let it settle down and scar over so that it would stay where it's supposed to. It took several months and I'm just now getting back to walking for exercise. Still not pushing for cardio, though--just building up strength and flexibility again.

My guys have to have bread for sandwiches, and I don't like paying that price for tasteless bread, although it's been a good year since I made my own. I do have toast sometimes. ;) Other than that, I don't head for bread too often. Dh needs it with most every meal.

How'd you hurt your ankle?

Good afternoon! Well, I have most of my water in for the day and one fruit--blueberries.
Think the second baby step for me will be adding fruits and veggies. Shooting for 3 at this point since I've been doing 0-1 lately.

Getting back to making bread here, too. Feeling more organized today. Need to keep that up! Now there's a good personal goal. :)

Tired and retired?? ;)

It was a gorgeous day for snowshoeing. Set up a free guided field trip today and only one other family went. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. It was so nice to get outside and get some fresh air!

Well, I've learned alot on how to use the new Windows 8 this week, and I'm working on learning the Ipad, too, for work. Wow. Nothing like all these challenges at once! Hopefully I'll catch up to my kids soon. lol

Well, three weeks later the weather's about the same. Schools were closed the first few days of the week due to -50* windchills and -20* or so for the highs. Colder than the north pole! lol
Nice to finally get outside again yesterday at only -2. :) Should thankfully be +20 tomorrow--time to shed coats here. ;)

Have to get moving here. Have an upcoming trip to Texas, and I don't want to feel like a marshmallow. I WILL check in here everyday and get exercising! Small goals, but gotta start somewhere.

How's your new year going/looking?

Where's that 'like' button? ;) Good for you, Whovialgrl!!

I'm in MN. Think we got back up to above zero today. We've been as low as -20 this week, not counting windchill. Yesterday the weather man said we were 4* different from the north pole and 6* different from the south pole!

Work is going crazy again, trying to get billing finished for the year. Good thing dd can work from a list part-time. How exciting, your son getting a house! It will be fun to go see what he picked and how he decorates over time. My nephew just bought his first house, too.

Had some friends over the other night for a party. We got a lot of visiting and laughing in. Perfect. :)

Tina, Where are you?? It is probably on its way here... Stay warm and safe!!! I cannot tell you all how blessed i am to have home schooled my kids all the way thru.. Since being back in the PS System and seeing all the junk ( worse than when I taught 25 years ago)
This Common Core stuff is for the birds and God forbid you have a different way of learning or a disability of some kind.. and the testing .. It is very , very stressful!!

My second son just bought a house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH MY! LOLOLOL

I am so blessed they keep us in the loop and ask for advice. I wish it was not an hour away BUT i understand .. Getting stuck on the thruway in blinding snow is never fun... :-)

Snow, snow and more snow for days here! My mom has about 29 inches and we had ? Judging from the news. Zero to full yards in a flash. :) I'm doing some cleaning while the guys went to help clean out my folks. It's all supposed to start freezing shortly with temps below zero the rest of the week.

Had a wonderful Thanksgiving here, but feeding people for 3 days left virtually no leftovers. That's okay. I didn't expect any, tho dh did. lol Ended up feeding 18, and a good time was had by all.

Looks like a good thing it was last weekend, as the snow's piling in this week! Some schools are closed today, and if we get another 6-8 inches later today, more will probably close tomorrow.

I'm with you,Tracey. Totally back to bigger helpings and more grains the last week, and the 'core' has gone soft again. Back to better habits!

Well, we made it through Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time with guest through Saturday, which helped immensely with the leftovers! We're still working our way through what's left in the kitchen and fridge, making turkey stock to can, and putting away all the large serving dishes and cookware as the food goes into smaller and smaller containters--or goes away altogether.

Yesterday was quite restful, as was today. Tomorrow, I will begin my Christmas sewing in earnest.

Hi Everyone! I am sorry to have been away.. Life is so busy and chaotic lately! Teaching is so stressful especially with all this new Common Core and all the new testing.. these poor kids are tested to death... It just does not stop.. I don't know when they expect us to teach and if you have kids with learning problems.. OH MY... I would def. tell people to Homeschool!!!! ( I know I have always felt I would do it all over again and now there is NO doubt in my mind) LOL

SO, with all the stress i have fallen back into old , bad habits. Very sad to say.....

How is everyone doing here.... ??

Church tomorrow, a little shopping, dropping some groceries off at the Rescue Mission for their Thanksgiving meal, and then cleaning house and getting ready for guests who are to arrive on Wednesday. Believe me, it will take dh and I both working to get it all done!

I need to take the turkey out of the freezer tonight so it will be ready to brine starting on Monday. On Black Friday, we will pack up all the leftovers into a picnic lunch, make thermoses of coffee and hot chocolate and head up into the mountains to hunt for our Christmas trees--about 5 families. Then we'll begin decorating over the weekend.

Bet you're enjoying that! I'm down to one, in 8th grade. Dd is my real reader, like I was as a kid. It's fun watching her whip through books. :)

Trying to get some major cleaning done this weekend, as we're hosting sil's dd and grandkids and families for Thanksgiving. I also promised a meal to a friend recovering from surgery.

Yesterday I got some group activities planned for the hs group. The state park will have nature-themed ornament making one day, and we'll make gingerbread houses another day. Also offered The Nutcracker ballet tickets at a group rate through dd's ballet teacher.

Am also planning to have a group of friends I haven't seen in a while over in a few weeks. Yesterday I got the invites prepared. I'm asking everyone to bring a Gift in a Jar (vs making this a cookie exchange), so put the wording inside these cute printable mason jars I found online. Love them!

Went off the wagon this week. I gave up Coke in September and was doing great til dh put some in the house. Three days in a row I've had one. Back off it today.

What are you up to this weekend?

Went to a class on creative problem solving today. Learned a few new outside the box mindmaps and such. Now to put them to use at work. Have to be able to be creative somewhere! lol

A local church is having a Free for All Saturday. Need to go donate the pile in my garage tomorrow. Decluttering is so good for the mind, too. :P

It's getting cooler here and that means moving firewood. We've got a couple of big piles accumulated from taking down hazard trees this summer and they need to be moved into the new woodshed DH built. Lots of bending, lifting, etc.

While at Target a few days later I found a book by Jorge Cruise to help get rid of e body fat in 5 minutes a day. Something to get those gut muscles started to get in shape again. Feels like a good start. Doing lots of walking this week. Huge flea market and long hallways to convention rooms. Perfect! ;)

Well, got my first cocktail dress yesterday for a banquet next week. Thank goodness they have support wear. Went into it with a good attitude and came out laughing. Did I mention what a good time I have with my mom? But boy, facing those mirrors all those times. Ugh.

Have a wonderful time, Tina!

It's been raining here so really feels like Fall. Had a fire in the woodstove all day yesterday but not yet this morning. I'm not sure if it's going to be cool enough for a fire or not.

On a getaway for a few days. Left ahead of dh-- luckily. Left my clothes and such at home. Had to break down and buy a t-shirt about 4. I was roasting after wearing a fleece jacket while the kids were in the pool. Now I'm sitting in the lodge while the girls paint piggie banks. Having to be on location with them around this place sure limits my options!

I brought all the veggies from my farm share with me. Just downloaded recipes for ratatoille and pesto, and am making a double batch of fresh salsa for the kids. That should use up quite a few veggies! Also want to try roasted beets, sweet potatoes, onions, and potatoes. Of course, I'll just still a whole potato in the oven for dh. emoticon Need to pick up mayo for coleslaw tomorrow.

Nice to be able to focus on the veggies!

Overcast drizzly day here. I see the tree across the street starting to turn yellow and orange. Went out for the first latte of the year this morning. Think I'll have to try out the pumpkin scone recipe I ran across this week. Eating only 1/2 of it for breakfast occasionally. ;)

I wear my hair long for the same reason, Tina--and no bangs for me. I've had it short too--very short--but my family doesn't like it, so now it's long again.

Good morning! About to take dd to her co-op classes, then I have office work to do. Pay some bills and such, then I better get back to the church phone calls. Get them out of the way, right? emoticon

Had been growing out my bangs, and finally cut them back in this morning. Couldn't handle the pressure of them in my eyes. lol Did I mention I grew my hair out this summer? Nice to be able to pull it up into a ponytail or something.

Well, time to run dd! See you!

That's why you can, right? ;)

I bought a lot of jars of applesauce last year when it was on sale. Good thing-- around here there will be a shortage of apples this year. One of these years, the family dehydrator will be here for me to try out!

Tina, I did at least 10 large paper grocery bags of pears last year. I'm having trouble with a finger on my right hand this year, so can't use a paring knife--so that got me out of doing a lot of my usual canning this season. We still have canned pears from last year, but all the dehydrated pears are gone. Those will be missed!

Good morning!

Got a lot done this weekend. Sorted through a lot of stuff in the garage, and cleaned out the freezers. Ended up tossing a few things, but dh can haul one freezer away. One step closer to a clean garage! Yeah!

Today I have school for dd, a million phone calls for the church dinner, and I'd love to continue clearing the garage. Think I'll also check if there are still boxes of pears available at the store so I could can pearsauce, too.

What are you up to today?

Wow, that's wonderful, Terri!! Glad to hear it!

Hi Becky! Looks like you are set to get it done this fall! Can't wait to hear of your progress!
So how many kids are you homeschooling this year? I'm down to one dd in 8th grade.

Life's been crazy here. Working 1/2 to 3/4 time and getting school back into the mix. Luckily dd is a self starter and will work from a list on her own. Still deciding what we're doing. Good year for geography, and think we'll finish up US history. And I'm working on the phone calls for the church dinner on October 9th, lining up all the workers to feed 700+.

Went on a trip last week with my folks and sister. Nice and relaxing. Time with them and time to myself, since I don't gamble. lol

So glad the surgery was successful. How's recovery going?

Well, tried a new schedule yesterday. Worked 6 to 9, then went home to get something done while I still had energy, and back to work 1 to 5. I think I like it, although today I feel like I've been runover by a truck. Must have been getting the lawn mowed in there, activity I haven't had this summer. :P I'm thinking it could work well for school maybe...

Niece-il wants to do a parade tomorrow morning with her mom and I, so will probably do that. County fair is this weekend, too. Enjoy going through the buildings and getting my kettle corn. Anyone else go to the county fairs?

Praying for him!

Got my veggies yesterday. Today's goals: make dill pickles, basil pesto, and raspberry rhubarb crisp. Now to think of what to have with salad for supper... :) Love, love, LOVE the CSA this year!!

Also have laundry to do, plus a friend is coming to visit!! Feels like forever since I've had time for friends. Visited with another friend late Wednesday. Remembering what a blessing IRL friends are. emoticon

Have fun, Terri!

Going away sounds wonderful, but alas it's not to be for me during the summer. But, dh DID take two days off this weekend! We went to a car show and then for a drive each day. Of course, he does want to sell the Camaro he bought a couple months ago. First toy he's had since we had kids. Looking for a different car. Got a nice sunburn, and visited with some friends, so it was peaceful.

Joined another CSA last week with a friend who wanted to split one. Oh, my. We split two good sized boxes of stuff: 3 kinds of peas, endive and 3- 4 other lettuces, dill, cabbage, cauliflower, cucumbers, pickling cucumbers, a kohlrabi, carrots, onions, green onions, and chives. Love it! I'm definitely going with them again. Anyone else ever buy a CSA?

Praying for your son, Tery....

Thanks for asking about my dh. He did tear the outer muscle , but not the inner. Which means no surgery. they said there is nothing they can do and it might make certain movements hard.. We are leaving it all in God's hands! So far he is not having any trouble doing anything ( believe me, he has not stopped doing any of his projects) ! ;-)

Tina, How lovely your time away sounds! Refreshing.. LOL

Books.. did someone say books!? LOL I would love them if you ever get around to it... LOLOL

Have a wonderful day! We are off to Harbor fest.. I have never been but it should be interesting! LOLOL

Praying for your son, Terri. Scary stuff. But you have a great time with that camp every year!

Tracey- very good to see you! We were all AWOL emoticon . It IS good to be back with friends tho! So glad you got the job you wanted. If I can ever get my garage emptied back into the house, I have stuff for a lending library with some stuff especially for remedial reading.

Took off for my folks cabin with a friend overnight Wednesday, and we had the most relaxing 24 hours. Reading, lots of talk, a good hike, and just enjoying the quiet-birds, water lapping, and the wind blowing. emoticon

Back to work today!

Traci, how did it turn out with your dh's shoulder? I hope all is well. I am very blessed to have two of my married kids living quite close to me but there are often several days between sightings. The grands can walk to my house, so I get to see them often too.

We're past the big event of July (hosting my mother's family reunion) and are now planning our annual camping trip in the mountains. DS1 is also having brain surgery during our vacation, so we will be driving home to be here for that and hoping to return the next day, once we know he okay. He has an encephalocele that will be repaired--not a simple deal. Prayers will be appreciated for Paul. His surgery is on Aug. 9.

Hi Everyone!!! I have been so not around and I apologize.. Tina I know exactly what you mean .. this is a very strange season. First son, moved down south and then moved again( I do NOT like being so far away)!!!!!
Second son, just moved out of the house ( I know he is 25 years old.. ) LOLOL He also just gor engaged. Thankfully he is only 10 minutes away but there are still days that go by because of schedules...
Daughter just grad. college and is now at a wedding in the Bahamas. She has not moved out yet, but she does work.. so it seems so empty at times and I never know what or how much to cook anymore.

I did this past year get a full time reading Specialist job. WOW Love it but so much to learn and relearn!! SO glad I home schooled my kids and Sisters it is getting even worse......

Anywho.. I need to be here more and kept accountable.. I have gained a bit of weight back and have gotten out of the exercise habit.. NOT happy with myself.. BUT I do not want to go back to where I was.....

Have a wonderful day.. I will be back later.. Pray for my dh .. we are on the way to the ER to get his shoulder exrayed

Nice that cabins and more are available. Sounds like a real vacation with a cabin! lol

Got my peach butter made, but have to put it in jars today. Need to run get payroll submitted, then plan to come home and clean the bathrooms and GET THOSE TOMATOES AND PEPPERS PLANTED!! Can't wait any longer! The roofer is going to help me remove the sandbox and replace sideboards from the playground area, so maybe I can get that accomplished, too. And there are still a couple loads of laundry, and I need to do bills.

What's your day hold?

Some will be staying here, Tina. Most have rented cabins at a local spot and will create their own neighborhood there; another is bringing a motorhome and will either park it at DS's house or another place near us. I'll be doing a lot of cooking, I think--right now I need a flock of fairies to help me CLEAN!

Got my jam made yesterday, so that's good. Now need to put the equipment back in the basement and reclaim my kitchen. I need to make a list--otherwise, it is going to overwhelm me.

I bought peaches a week and a half ago for peach butter but haven't gotten that done. emoticon Think I better work around here this morning. We're expecting rain and possibly hail later today. I also have a pile of laundry to do and the bathrooms need cleaning. This afternoon we'll go see one of my sisters as we pick up some furniture from an auction.

I think that sounds like a very fair exchange! Nice to have it without paying for the veggies! You'll put a lot of time into it tho. :) Wow, that's a lot of company. Not all staying with you??

Oldest ds just left for a camping trip til Sunday. Next son 'moved out' this month. Bed one day, TV a couple days later; hard to tell that any clothes left as the floor's still covered in stuff. lol Still stops in most days to use my computer and Netflix. Making him give me a hug when he leaves. ;) Dd just finished soccer season, and leaves for camp Sunday. Strange season of life, with the house empty a lot.

Hi Tina! I can't believe summer is half over already! The gardens are all in and I'm starting to get some squash and cucumbers. Ours is planted in a few boxes, so don't have room for much. DS1 has a huge garden and lives in our neighborhood, so we get the rest from him. After we return from vacation next month, I'll start the canning. I'm not sure what all they will have for me but I do it all. They grow it and I can/dehydrate it and that seems like a fair exchange of labor.

We're celebrating birthdays for several grands this summer and are hosting a family reunion for my mother's family next weekend. We expect to have around 70 people here so there's a lot going on to prepare for that.

I'm glad you're only having to work half time! Gives you a chance to enjoy a few other things~

Hello! Thought I'd start making this a regular stop in my day again. emoticon
Just took some photos of my new bathroom, but have to post them a bit later. Gotta run ds to drop off his car.

Been working half-time, which is MUCH better! I can still have a life. lol Trying to garden. The strawberry season is a month late, so I still have some tomato plants waiting for their space. emoticon Picked up some flowers for my favorite porch pot at a great price. Paid $4 for 2 flowers and $2 for a bigger corkscrew 'grass'. Maybe I'll post that, too.

Back later! What's everyone else up to this summer?

Thanks! I'll share photos when it's done.

Well, updated my Adobe flash player and now I have no spinning wheel available for points. May have to play with that a bit more!

Love it! Hopefully they will all be fine in the future. And leaders probably!

Well, 2 days of being in range. It's a start. Feels so good to be cooking good food again! We've all missed it.

Well, the new bathroom's painted. I went with a periwinkle toned lavender. Think I'm going to like it! Decided to go with a sagey green at the bottom of the stairs outside the bathroom. Moving right along. :)

Melody, that's SO great that your son "gets" it. It will put him WAY ahead of his peers on the financial learning curve!

I wish my dh would step on board. He's awful with managing money.
My ds however, LOVES Dave Ramsey and could fill in for him on the radio show:
Welcome to Financial Peace Plaza, it's the Dave Ramsey show. Where debt is dumb, cash is king, and paid off home mortgage has taken the place of the BMW as the status symbol of choice. I am Dave Ramsey your host and this is your show America. (etc.)

Wow Tina, I'm jealous that you got to take the FPU class. Following Dave's counsel has allowed us to retire. I just wish we'd have started 20 years sooner!

We finished the final class of the Financial Peace University class at church tonight. Now our family has a nice certificate of completion. :)
Started menu planning again yesterday and have 3 weeks of menus planned so far! Feels good to make a planned meal again and eat real food. Started tracking my food, too. Gotta get heading in the right direction!

Dh is doing the same business, but he went into a partnership and a franchise with another guy last February. And with some outstanding accounts payable and changing things over for all the old customers/vendors, I still have both sets of books going. They've been renting, but are on the verge of buying a property with a move planned for at least 6 months out.

I am SO ready for a getaway! Either that or it must be TOM. lol Just feel so restless and down. (I know-- go exercise! lol) Anyway, I'm thinking if I stay home while dh does the home show next month, I can redo our room without his direction at the same time. Hmmm! He is such a director! ;)

Tina, did your dh start a new business or just change locations?

One of our sons lives with his gf and they get a motel when they're here for holidays. We love her, but would put them in separate rooms if they stayed with us. They respect that and simply make other arrangements.

My DH is enjoying his retirement and keeping really busy. He's not a guy to sit still much, so he doesn't get in my way around the house at all.

My sister's boyfriend stays at a hotel here in town while she visits my folks, so I know what you mean.
I'm enjoying doing a bit of shopping now and then for sil's great grandaughter--as close as I'll come to being a grandparent for awhile! Bought the cutest pair of spring Valentine jammies. :)

I've been busy here. I've been getting the books updated and am almost ready to turn in stuff for the new business's taxes. Then I'll work on the old business--just dh's. Finally getting all that paperwork from two locations organized! Yesterday we had the place all spiffed up for an appraisal. And we're putting in a new bathroom and closet downstairs, so I've had details to figure out a lot in the last two weeks. Then dh is also ready to get the family room finished. And my mind's been on redoing our bedroom. Almost have my details ready after only a year or two. lol And yesterday I took sil in for a colonoscopy and returned a few items. And then in a couple weeks, a friend wants to get things together for a book sale. I kind of need to get all the books back in the bookcases and out of the boxes in the garage first!

hello~
I've been reading, but not much posting. Finished taxes in January. Luckily we've already received our returns. There are so many that are being put off for various reasons.
Thank you Terri for the congratulations. I was able to visit my g.baby today. =) And found a lovely baby book to give to my dd. Ds helped pick it out. My dd is very artistic, so I'm looking forward to see how she embellishes it.
My ds crosses over from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts next week. Working on spring cleaning/painting, caulking, etc. Lots of nitty gritty stuff needing to be done in the house before my ds and his wife visit next week. Then in April I'll have more family/friends visiting.
My mom never did come to visit, because no one wants to see her creepy boyfriend. ugh. So sad.

I've been AWOL for a while. I've been at home (mostly) but have just had too much else to do. We're keeping 4 yo dgd every day while her mother teaches school and we're enjoying that, as it will come to an end when she starts school in the fall. Actually, it will come to an end when school is out for the summer.

Melody, congratulations on your new dgd!! We have 14 grands and have loved every minute of it. They all live close enough that we see them all the time and seldom have a weekend without some of them sleeping over. Tonight, for instance, we had one little 6 yo dgs who wanted to come over and that turned into inviting 2 of his cousins to join him, which led to another cousin joining the party when he found out the other boys were here! So, we've got boys here from all three of our eldest kids--last weekend, it was a similar situation with some of the girls.

Never a dull moment!

DH and I are both loving his retirement. I really have to wonder at all the people who have asked us if he's bored yet, if he's getting under my feet (or me under his), if I'm ready to send him back to work...honestly! Don't these people have hobbies? He's been off work since last Oct. and we are both really enjoying it. He says he should've done this 30 years ago! (If only it were possible!)

Well, her excuse is she won't get another chance! lol

Got a bunch more errands that have been waiting to be done today, along with another root canal. I'd appreciate prayer that my tooth would heal well in the next couple months, as he said the xray's showing an outline of the tooth; it will have to be pulled if it doesn't heal right. Thanks!
Feels so good to be getting to those errands! I think I'm just burned out being at the office and putting everything personal on the back burner. It's exhilarating to be set free during the week!!

Spent several hours tonight doing bookwork. Much better on my time scale. :)

Hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day! I enjoyed seeing so many men at Walmart buying flowers, and one dad in the car next to me with a balloon, too. It was windy out there, so the balloon tied to his cart was blowing a lot while he unlocked his car. He went around to take out his toddler from the cart, and we both saw the balloon take off from the ribbon, into the sky. We just looked at each other with a big smile. Loved having that connection with a stranger. Seeing so many men showing they loved their women made my day. :)

Thanks Tina. Yes, they moved to my state in the summer. They live in the next town, but it's only about 15 minutes away. emoticon It's great! I had to share my dgd with her auntie and she was selfish. Wasn't very good at sharing at all. Went to visit my dd today and she said the same thing. LOL I thought it was just me, but the mom felt the same. Good thing auntie lives in Cali. LOL

Congratulations, Melody! Enjoy that little one! Does your dd live near you so you'll get to see her regularly?

Well, starting next week I'll be doing a lot of my work from home--yeah!!! I am so looking forward to getting my life back! Already have plans to get walking again with my friend. :)
Time to get back with the program!

Thank you. =) My granddaughter looks just like her mom did at birth. She looks amazing. No splotches or newborn ruddiness. After my prayers, I need to crochet a ton of stuff. I was waiting to see if it would be a boy or girl, because they never could get a clear view during the ultra sounds. LOL

It's not a bad idea to use the Bedford Handbook for grammar and punctuation for Jr. High and High School papers. It's what they'll use in college and good grammar and punctuation makes a huge difference in the grade.
