Good for you!

Love the WATP DVDs! Used them a lot when I lost my weight.

You've reminded me... dd had written down somewhere about a dance DVD. Will have to ask her. Something we could do together after New Year's??

I realize this is a sort of old thread.
When my dd (13) was younger I didn't exercise much.
In the last few years I have really worked on that aspect of my life more and now I exercise almost every day.
Our homeschooling takes 2 to 3 hours per day. We do not schedule a lot of extracurricular activities. We have lots of free time for exercise.

I have a treadmill at home and will walk on it while we watch a dvd or something on Netflix. We use videos in our homeschooling.
We have some active video games like Walk It Out or Just Dance that I will do with dd. She loves dancing together.
I do dvd workouts like Walk Away the Pounds or Sparkpeople videos.

When my boy was little I did a LOT of walking. I put the baby in a stroller, the dogs on their leashes and walked all over the neighborhood.

I think we are going to drop the YMCA membership. For the past two weeks I have exercised more than in the past two months! My husband gets home at 5:30, then I take off for a 25 min jog. It will be nicer in the spring when it is still light out at 6pm, but for now I've found a way to shed some pounds!

LOL The kids at my crochet group just played "monkey" in the middle in the room we were in. =D
They had SO much fun!!!

Walkiing, sledding, shoveling snow. I remember playing 3 man hockey and such when the boys were little, too. Kick or throw a ball back and forth with a monkey- I mean, 3 year old- in the middle. ;)

exercise with your kids. crab walk, relays, somersaults, cartwheels, headstands, jumping jacks, dancing, etc.

We have a YMCA membership but they do not offer childcare between 2pm-4pm, which is when I am free most days-- after homeschooling and before dinner prep.

My 3 year old does not nap, so I have a hard time exercising at home. The Y seems great! Except it isn't available when I would like to use it.

Any suggestions?
