Welcome back Mary! I know what you mean about setbacks. I've had two foot surgeries in the past year, with some complications in healing from the second one. I'm just now getting back into shoes and able to walk without a limp. I'm still not back on a regular walking and exercise routine, and I've gained back all the weight I'd previously lost.

On the other hand, I'm still here hanging out with my Spark friends, who are a wonderful encouragement to me and who won't let me give up! It's very nice to meet you!

Hi Mary! I think establishing short term goals is a great idea! Make sure to plan some rewards, too.

Mary~ I know those setbacks can be SO frustrating. The good thing is that you haven't given up!!! And I love your goals. They will help keep you motivated until you are completely healed. Then you can alter and readjust them later. I'm so sorry to hear of your injury, but you have the right idea with what you are doing. Keep on keeping positive!

I just can't seem to get things going and I'm so frustrated with myself! I had started getting back on track in January and then I damaged the soft tissue in my foot and ankle, so I've been in a boot for over a month now and can't do much of anything that will really help with weight loss. I'm seeing the doc again on Wednesday and will get the MRI results and then, maybe I can get back to using my Biggest Loser for the Wii, which was really working me out! At this point, I'm just coming up with some rules to follow.

1. No real Dr. Pepper.
2. Water
3. No eating after 7:00pm.
4. Log everything I put in.
5. Try to move however much I can.

I'm going to make a chart, with today being the start date, and list goals for each week that I would like to lose, maybe through July. Maybe if I can see that I'm reaching my short term goals, it will help me stay on track longer?
