lol Martha .. I do that too! I have sent articles to friends from Spark .. there's a button to do that, makes it so nice. That way they can read it and even keep the link for future reference. I agree that it's good to read stuff you wouldn't look for on your own .. stuff that may impact your life or the life of someone you know! This site is a great resource ...

Oh, I just remembered how one time I bumped into someone on SP who I didn't know at all, but who was struggling with an eating disorder, and I had just read an article on that, and was able to tell them some things from that, and suggest they read it. Another time someone who was not on Spark who was dealing with depression, and it was something I'd read about recently because SP has a lot of articles on that, I could help them some.

I love the articles! The inspirational stories are always new. Other people's stories are facinating. As fro the informational articles, often they are just reafirming or reminding, but that's ok. Sometimes it's just neat to see a different way of looking at something you already knew. Often it helps me know how to help somebody else who is struggling with something. I don't always think the way others do. Like, I don't really eat out, but some of my friends do a lot. So, if I read an article on some kind of quisine and am talking to them, I can say "Hey, you know, I just read an article about vietnamese food, and they suggested you try Canh Chay or Pho. Those are good healthy choices, and they sound great!" Cuz, I wouldn't have known that. Then sometimes I look for a recipe and try making it myself, because it sounds good. Idk, I like reading about stuff I wouldn't have looked up on my own. Like, I didn't know that Rosemary in your meat helps prevent cancer or about the weight loss clothing drive or about nordic walking technique until I read about it in the articles. There's a lot I do know, but there's a lot I don't, too. Even if I don't use it myself, I can tell others about it.

I don't have specific articles I like .. but I gravitate towards the Motivational articles .. they help me get up off of my cushion and move! I also like to read the different articles in the nutrition and healthy lifestyle sections .. it just enforces what I know and helps keep that in the forefront of my brain!

Honestly, I'm not that into the articles because it's pretty much stuff I KNOW, I just need to APPLY it, if that makes sense. I've taken nutrition classes and read a million magazine articles about fitness, nutrition, etc. It's just the sticking to it...

Health News

I really like the workouts (especially the printable ones) and the Inspiting Stories. The Wellness articles tend not to be my favorites, although they do have some good ones. I also like the Exercise Basics and the Nutrient Buzz is a neat topic for articles! Oh, and Li like the Spark People Buzz, too. Which ones do you guys like best?

[edited because I missed a couple kinds]
