It is also a very interesting addition to a vegetable soup, and the thin strips are so pretty, too. I usually add thinly sliced red cabbage to the soup about 12 min. before serving.

Mix it with green cabbage, onion, sea salt and pure water and put it in a crock and ferment it to make your own sauerkraut. It is a great probiotic. I make it all of the time in mason jars.

FYI if you are going to do this use Organic cabbage or it will turn to mush. The pesticides on conventionally grown cabbage kill the bacteria needed to grow the ferment to make sauerkraut. Interesting huh?

Hello there,

I am just eating some shredded raw red cabbage with some olive oil and pepper and it is delicious. Just wondering if you have any other recipes?
