I was a soda fiend for years. It took me a while to quit completely. But I managed to do so about 5 1/2 years ago. For me, I found that it was a great deal easier to give it up by replacing it with something else. So, when I quit drinking soda, I replaced it with tea. I prefer green tea (i.e., regular green tea, blueberry green tea, pomegranate green tea, green tea with black tea or white tea, etc). If Iím not drinking water, then Iím drinking tea, both hot and cold tea. I make the tea and put it in bottles to take with me during the day.
I recommend you find a nice sugar-free and calorie-free beverage to take the place of the sodas. If not tea then maybe lemonade or limeade or something else that you like.
