I had to share my success story. I've been diabetic since I had my last baby-9 years or so. In the last 4 years or so it hasn't been controlled very well, I've resisted meds for good reasons. Well, my brother in law commited to go totally Vegan and managed to get his sugars down to normal in a month. My husband ended up in the hospital with a nasty infection in his foot due to diabetes and had to have his pinky toe and medetarsal bone removed, yuk! Those 2 things totally motivated me to try the Vegan diet. I just barely gave up the dairy products this week, but have been mostly Vegan for 3 weeks, now my blood sugars read 156 and 145. I can't believe my eyes! I'm totally convinced in every way this is the path for me to better health.
I'm feeling better, my thinking is clearer, and I have more energy. I am really happy I didn't give up, and I need to keep going. I want to lose some weight too.
