I am home from Kansas. We had a great time attending all of the festivities for the Heritage Days and also the reunion events. All went well and it was great with just one exception. I fell off the bleacher on Saturday rubber necking trying to find my friends and not paying attention to where I was going. I have a huge bruise on my right hip but my ego suffered more damage. Lets just say I think I was a "hit" at the reunion.
One of the amazing things Nia does for me is to remind me to "dance through life."
Yesterday I walked to coffee with two friends. The skies were dark, the rain was slashing sideways, the wind whipping so hard that umbrellas were turned inside out. Walking down the city sidewalks, puddles spread like little lakes. The gutters were running like spring creeks. And I danced: over the puddles, the gutters, the flying last leaves.
